I LOVE LOVE HIS 1ST PART ALBUM 

 

Called it days ago. He's probably doing the guerrilla release. Lol. Definitely a Coup d' Etat. If they really followed through with this surprise/ninja concept, I will be very, very, very impressed with GD and the creative team behind this. Because essentially, a Coup D' Etat is really a surprise overthrow by rebels against the establishment. Lol I would know since my country has had at least 3 coup d' etats in our history by radical groups, one even successfully aiding in making us a free nation. So I am really looking forward to GD actually executing what a coup d' Etat represents, because that's really IMPRESSIVE ALLUSION. But I might just be overestimating this concept and GD's creativity. Hoping he really does this.

 

To make it a real overthrow, hopefully he gets blunt in his lyrics and actually say everything that's wrong with the Korean music scene, and to add to that, hope his MVS have this symbolism about what he'd like to change about the industry, and best of all, I hope the music itself is revolutionary and not what you can hear in just about every Kpop single. BECAUSE REALLY, THAT's WHAT A COUP D' ETAT SHOULD EMBODY. YG execs are saying it's a game changer, right? Peter Chun even followed up and said "the game will never be the same." Oh I strongly strongly hope GD is not just being big-mouthed and arrogant.

On the 10th, Samsung Stocks stated that the promotions of YG Entertainment(122870) artists for the latter half of this year should be very well-anticipated.

Researcher Shin Junghyun reported that, "The amount of sales and money brought in by YG for the first 6 months of this year have increased by both 23% and 25% more in each area than the amount they made during the same time last year, recording 280 billion won (roughly 28 billion USD) and 51 bilion won (roughly 5 billion USD)," and that, "The promotions of signed artists under the company can be put in the limelight with anticipation."
