  1. just saying, but there is no need for an artist to travel to another country to record a collab these days, lmao.
  2. outrage marketing. they’re doing this so more people will be outraged and then check it out to see how bad the treatment is it’s unethical and scummy. i wish people would just boycott it.
  3. jk went for dance training in LA during his predebut days. he blogged quite extensively about it
  4. if he continues on behaving this way wouldn’t more people have come out to expose him? meanwhile there’s been no further additional info to the story regarding about his behaviour, meanwhile seo yeji is under massive fire. and guess what? that’s exactly what’s happening with seo yeji right now too, with more and more people exposing her psychotic ass this issue with kim jung hyun got rehashed again because he’s currently in a contract dispute with his agency, maybe read the context first instead of assuming things? and hey, the same thing happened with kang daniel too when he was in a dispute with his previous agency. im not even defending him here and i think regardless of his mental health, it doesn’t give him a free pass to be so shitty towards his colleagues, and an apology is the bare minimum of what’s required from him. it being so late is definitely horrible, and i won’t be surprised if it’s because he was being too fucking cowardly about the whole thing. but YOU don’t pretend you know what’s happening too if you’re gonna pull this rhetoric on me
  5. not quite sure why you’re saying that. Time was the only project he worked on that had him exhibiting behavioural issues. he had no issues with his co-stars and crew for CLOY and Mr Queen. not excusing him and it’s absolutely the right thing to do by apologising (although it’s a little late...) but saying he’ll do this over and over again is not right at all, considering he didn’t. and to everyone else: YES he did get flack at that time too, which resulted in him being unemployed for a while until his comeback with 2 popular dramas. this is actually nothing new, many people who are familiar with kdramas already knew of this, it’s been rehashed all over again this time with an even bigger backlash.
  6. yea?? lmao. have u seen the hate arin (OMG) got just because she’s co-mc with soobin? hell, even halsey got hate even though she was attached at the time they did boy with luv. there’s always a fraction of boy group fans who hate their oppas interacting with the opposite sex, and with how big ARMY is, can u imagine the meltdown lmao
  7. you are far from the only person implying that and i’m not gonna waste time and quote everyone lol
  8. the comments here are highly concerning. people need to start to understand queerbaiting is NOT representation, lmao. don’t get it all mixed up, you’re doing more harm towards the community instead.
  9. and it would bring them more hate too just being the same label mates as bts and txt.
  10. then maybe spend some time to do some googling on the advantages of subsidiaries and the way they can help reduce risks and also provide flexibility for a company that’s rapidly growing, if you’re really interested in learning how businesses work instead of just saying everything is dumb. letting min hee jin manage her own label also allows her full creativity to fully execute her vision and create her own branding for whatever she has in mind and its high time yall stop comparing hybe to the way other entertainment companies work. it’s clear by this point that hybe is heavily inspired by the company structures of technology giants and technology giants like google, facebook have various subsidiaries too. its like asking why alphabet has subsidiaries like google and youtube when they can just be under alphabet. it’s a way of structuring your company and streamlining your operations, as well as reducing risks when diversifying your portfolio and investments
  11. yea that explains it, lol it’s amazing that people who dunno anything about business management keep commenting on things they dunno about and how dumb the company is lol
  12. and more importantly these 2 groups have proved you don’t need chinese members to be popular, ha.
  13. honestly i think it’s because they had trouble finding groups to fill the slots lol. so has to up the prizes to make the show more attractive i wouldn’t jump straight to “male privilege” immediately in this case, seems like it’s more nuanced than that.
  14. a post about bts facing discrimination and you’re asking armys why they’re so defensive lol, and even resorting to ableism by accusing them of having ptsd you utterly lack of self-awareness and it’s amazing to witness how tone-deaf people can be
  15. also important to note that young cho, the real life student protestor, is now blind and can’t speak for herself due to an accident. its so disrespectful to her.
  16. j-hope was referencing to the gwangju uprising, which happened may 18 1980. the drama is set on the premise on the June Democratic Struggle, which lasted june 10 to 29, 1987. the latter was what forced the govt to hold elections and essentially led to democracy and the present day government.
  17. i don’t understand why kpop fans are obsessed with the narrative that their faves are constantly being used to cover up political scandals sorry but your faves aren’t that big lol
  18. er, yes, and i was agreeing to your comment lmao. i wasn't disagreeing with you at all. i was pointing out the fact you didn't know SK's involvement in ww2 proved the discussion right.
  19. i mean tbf she’s a celebrity and has an international audience so it would do her some good as well to learn a bit more on world history so as not to commit such stupid mistakes, but i really wonder what’s going through the minds of those people immediately accusing her of being a nazi sympathiser. even if she is, why would she announce it publicly (and in such a dumbass way too, taking a pic with a mannequin in a cafe lmao) and risk harming her career but yeah i’m also puzzled by that tweet. her dad was educated in korea in the 80s, it doesn’t mean the curriculum remains the same lol. this reminds me of immigrants bringing their culture over to their newly settled country but are still stuck in those times when they left their origin country, meanwhile said origin country has been rapidly progressing. it’s like still being able to find pushcarts in dim sum restaurants in new york city, meanwhile in hong kong (where dim sum originated) — they have already progressed to ala cart menu self-service ordering lol and ironically, “everyone shall know the depths of wests and its history” stans are practicing enthocentlrism, and def a form of imperialism lol.
  20. yeah people claiming she knows nothing about what the holocaust is are being stupid as well. i was taught about the holocaust in school as well but i cannot deny there just wasn’t much emphasis compared to the atrocities committed by imperial japanese. to put it simply, most likely sowon knows about the holocaust, but she doesn’t know the extent and severity of their crimes. it’s like, textbooks dedicating 10 chapters to their own people suffering under imperialism but 1 chapter to world’s history atrocities also one very important thing to take note, in asia there just isn’t many museums dedicated to the holocaust. but there certainly are museums dedicated to victims of ww2 by imperial japan. i have to be honest, the real extent of the holocaust and the prosecution of jews really only hit me when i’ve visited the house of anne frank during a holiday in amsterdam many years back. meanwhile, these european museums i’ve visited didn’t have anything much on asia/imperial japan, lol.
  21. as an asian who grew up in an asian country colonised by the japanese, yes i can assure you that this is right. another example in the stark difference in education: in the US the atomic bombs on hiroshima and nagasaki were being taught as something really horrible committed by the americans, in my country it was taught as liberation for us. edit to add: ngl i honestly wouldn't have know that was a nazi uniform either, but i would recognise the imperial japan uniform in a fucking heartbeat, because i GREW UP learning about how horrible imperial japan was, not just in education but also the media (tv shows, comics, books).
  22. i'm not surprised. because their education did not focus much on the holocaust and nazism, their history classes focused heavily on japan imperialism, koreans' suffering during ww2, etc. while they do know nazi germany is one of the allies, there just wasn't much focus on the severity of what nazi germany did. it's the same thing with western education, western fans put a lot of emphasis on nazism and the holocaust, understandable, but they do not know just how bad it was for asian countries colonised by the japanese, and their education re: rape of nanjing, most likely comes from the book which they have to pick up themselves, instead of it being taught to them during school.
  23. you just proved your own point about how history is taught differently around the world. in SK what they focused on is how japan colonised them and how koreans suffered in ww2, the fact you didn't know this just proves it. but yes, i agree -- sowon just being ignorant and dumb and even if she didn't know the severity of nazism, she should apologise for not knowing and strive to learn more and be a better person.
  24. can’t be bothered to read your creepy replies about apartment decorating lmao
