[NB] How far can companies go with using BTS as an acronym?
HB23 replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
idek how the topic diverted to how "bts" is supposed to be behind the scenes when it's obvious as fuck these brands are taking advantage of the BTS brand name and trying to misled their consumers. even in my country so many small f&b establishments are doing it despite BTS having trademarks registered here. the users here are a whole level of dumb and delusional. and i'm speaking as someone who actually has experience in branding so all yall dumbasses pls stfu and stop making yourselves look like clowns. it's ok to admit that brands are leeching off bts the group, so stop lying to yourself these brands are doing this while thinking of "behind the scenes" lmfao. moreover the vivo ad didn't even use "behind the scenes" and did Be There Soon instead LMAO onehallyu has truly reached its bottom. we used to have intelligent users but now it's been infiltrated by dumbass kpop fans who clearly need to go back to school and develop some critical thinking skills -

are the users here actually dumb or what? of course armys know BTS was known as behind the scenes, heck we used to joke about it ourselves too wtf but you gotta be a whole level of stupid or blind to not realise the vivo ad in question (which is what this topic is about) alludes to bts the group with the fucking PURPLE COLOUR theme- 24 replies

BTS made over $71M USD from 2 Online Concert Dates!
HB23 replied to Taecoholic's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
1) no one said anything about the division of cuts. no sure why you had to bring it up. i'm sure everyone is aware there is a whole team of people behind these concerts. 2) only online concert ticketing revenue. -
might as well call out playlisting too. pay enough money to spotify and they'll put your song on the top of every curated playlist on their platform lmao. hell, pay for spotify ads! and every ad will count as a stream! oh, then why not we talk about influencer marketing too? labels pay tiktokers huge bucks to use their artists' songs in other words, the entire industry uses these tactics to game the charts. the thing that is broken is the SYSTEM. in fact, the most organic thing these days is grassroots voluntary-driven consumption (and no i'm not talking about taylor putting sad face emojis and begging her fans to buy her lonely vinyls) but everyone is not ready to have that conversation because their faves are white and can do no wrong

to be fair i think SM’s forte has always been about vocals and visuals rather than dance , rap and performance; and aespa are still rookies who have lots of room to grow and improve i just wish they wouldn’t force titles on their idols if their skill levels are not up for it, because it just gives them unnecessary stress and scrutiny, and i find that so unfair to these poor girls but yea ok that video was definitely painful to watch...
-
or maybe don’t dismiss those main dancers who spent their life honing their skills in order to defend your fave?? personally i think karina makes a very good centre, her visuals are insane — but i was honestly shocked when i read the comments in this thread saying she’s a main dancer. if SM wants to insist on calling her a main dancer then whatever but you resorting to dismissing other main dancers is so pathetic. by doing this the one actually being unfair to her is SM. they’re giving her unnecessary stress by forcing a title upon her where she pales in comparison to her fellow peers. edit: your comparison of stayc is not even relevant considering they didn’t even bother to appoint one member as an official main dancer

what??? she’s a main dancer??? dunno how she got the main dancer title, happened to see a fancam of hers dancing to this song a couple of days ago... and i honestly wasn’t impressed? i dun see any main dancer quality at all. if she’s really a main dancer she definitely needs to continue working hard to actually look like one.

When will we be able to see Actor Kim Taehyung?
HB23 replied to Josaline's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
interpretations are after all only interpretations but they shouldn’t by touted around as truths/facts. this is where the slope gets slippery and before you know it, it’ll be hard to debunk. do u know how many people still believe hobi was initially from jyp? instead of giving excuses shouldn’t we be clearing it up and spread the FACTS instead and if fans wanna brag about tae’s first gig in hwarang, just the fact that he snagged that should be enough. there’s no need to drag in the other members in a “my oppa is better than yours” competition, esp when the theory is not even confirmed and had been interpreted VERY liberally and just so you know, even then there were already fanwars with a fraction insisting jin should be the one getting the gig. ugh whatever, i don’t want to revisit that- 32 replies

When will we be able to see Actor Kim Taehyung?
HB23 replied to Josaline's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
to make it clear i just want to say to be fair nothing had also explicitly stated that all members auditioned, so i’m not sure why people are spreading that around as the gospel of truth. sure, maybe some members auditioned, but as you’ve said, we dunno that. and if you don’t realise solos are using that narrative as some sort of dick measuring contest then idk what else to say.- 32 replies

i googled around too and this is what i found! the director mentioned about his daughter being a fan. he also said he reached out to BH and tae was the one who responded that he would like to consider acting https://ourpurplewave.blogspot.com/2016/12/article-161221-hwarang-pd-interview.html- 32 replies

yeah exactly, it’s worse. at least the albums can be donated to other fans who can’t afford. if the qr code is on the outside of the milk bottle fans would still be able to donate them to orphanages/those who can actually drink them just throwing them down the drain... is a huge waste of animal resources, cows are being used their milk for this shit lmfao this is just toxic and wasteful buying culture and i’m glad they got called out for it.

i doubt that story is true. i’ve been a fan for so long and this is the first time i’ve heard of bh sending all the members to audition. why would joon or yoongi even want to act anyway? they have ZERO interest in acting even in bts own content lol. the story i’ve heard is that director(?) or writer(?)’s daughter is a fan of tae which made the director/writer take notice and thus decided to cast him this seems to be some urban legend that got passed around like how “j-hope was a singer initially and v was a rapper” was passed around with no ounce of truth in it- 32 replies

as a jimin-biased stan lemme say these jimin solos are all fucked in the head and they have lots of growing up to do if all they care is about “spreading his name” instead of being concerned he’s being exploited and violated. did a lot of unfollowing on my tl yesterday, many solos sure did exposed themselves lmao the fact that: 1) designer refused to sell it to BH despite BH offering to buy it 2) there was NO consent obtained for this piece of sale 3) the marketing and selling point is not about the significance of how and where the hanbok was worn, the meanings behind the design. it’s about jimin’s “sweat and body odour,” and that tells you the certain kind of demographic they’re aiming for in this sale 4) the designer would have done this regardless of which member lmao. he doesn’t want to spread hanbok culture awareness and enlist jimin’s help, don’t kid yourselves. he just so happens to own jimin’s top and wants to capitalise off it by being an utter creepy douchenozzle the fandom needs to undertake MAJOR HARD lessons on the meanings of consent and ethics coz this has crossed the fucking line for me
-
the people being mad about the auction cancellation are jimin akgaes lol. OP clearly doesn’t know the situation and is just posting bullshit the designer is a disgusting opportunistic asshole trying to capitalise off jm’s “sweat and body odour” the money isn’t even going to charity. most importantly, consent was not obtained from BH/JM himself. end of story. people defending this auction are fucked in their heads and should be ashamed of themselves for choosing to die on this hill for a creepy designer instead of JM himself bts also did more promoting korean culture in a single idol performance than an auction house who’s selling this hanbok to creepy assholes. spreading culture my ass, they’re just using this excuse to hide behind their actual intentions which is to suck $$ from crazy and creepy kpop fans lmao

lol they’re obviously aiming at the global audience instead. it’s clear they don’t give a fuck about the domestic audience. they’re doing all these shit so the i-fans can fight amongst each other and thus create more clout (since ifans generally as a whole don’t care about the politics surrounding the show, they only care about getting to see their oppas)
