ioi: casually listen to them all. i watch their acting projects if the plot is interesting. surprisingly, the groups with my least fave members are the ones that i follow(ed) the most (wjsn and pristin). chungha is one of my favorite soloists and i listen to her regularly. i actually have no idea with kyulkyung's up to since she left for china, i know she does photoshoots but what else...? oh and im excited for sejeong's cb.
izone: im planning on checking out all their gg projects: starship ngg, 8d ngg, stone new gg, and especially wm ngg since ive been anticipating them since 2016. im a fan of everglow and rocket punch have some good songs, so if they join, i might stan harder. im anticipating any acting projects and solos.
x1: i keep up with the very casually, i mostly check out hyung line + eunsang's activities. dont really listen to their groups outside of occasionally listening to victon bc it doesnt click for me. i listen to woodz and eunsang most. i check out their acting projects too.

i dont think sakura's debuting in a gg but i will support her if she does and the music is good
but with yujin debuting in ssngg they are a higher priority for me

yeah... i don't want to imagine the absolute chaos surrounding t-ara's bullying scandal had it been taken place in this era now instead of 2012, where kpop fans was mostly residing in their own group's forums, like soshified for snsd and diadem for t-ara, or just forums in general. i don't want to make any assumptions, but i feel like the aftermath would've been a lot worse for t-ara members, even though it was already really bad for them. but then again, their scandal was literally aired on national tv for everyone to see, so...
yeah the t-ara scandal was already negatively affected by social media then with the combination their tweets + the translations by netizenbuzz + the way information was clipped, compiled and posted -- such a situation would be absolutely catastrophic now.

Even here we still have company stans lol.
But are we surprised by SM. They have slave contracts, they blacklist their ex-artists, they don't pay their artists, and they and some sones defended and protected a director who assaulted Jessica on live broadcast.
sones were the main ones mad (and rightfully so)
what do you even mean
like i'll give you the other two, but dont weaponize jessica's assault and try and use that for the ot8 sones vs jessica beef

here's the full credit listing, taken from bh so you can judge. not sure if any thing has been changed since i just dled this today.

it says in the background that it's a "shindong gayo special". shindong gayo is his variety show where he interviews idols and occasionally covers their songs. its been airing for a few months now.
since its sponsored by sbs, the channel that did the idol dance challenges last year, it seems like this is a reiteration of that.

Tbh boygroups with cute/fresh concepts aren't that popular in general either. I can only think on early SVT, early NCT Dream and maybe TxT that got attention from the beginning with cute concepts but yeah, I guess some people might find them refreshing among the sea of dark/mature concepts.
light/youthful doesnt have to be full on cute
my type was a youthful concept and did well.

the girls are pretty

judging by the picture used in the koreaboo article, looks like they're hinting its hyogyeong(?) from ariaz (she was #8 in the mixnine lineup) or zn from laboum (debuted w uni.t)
-
they're doing fine lol, their mv is actually still being watched in sk (according to yt charts) and dun dun did better than adios afaik. their album sales are also pretty good for a rookie. not to mention, i dont think korean fans care much about mia push? most of them still stan yiren, sihyeon, or aisha anyways.

Hongbin wasn't being honest, he was drunk, if he was sober he wouldn't have said anything like that.
this....case and point, he had listened to moscow moscow during an earlier stream and didnt have much anything to say about it, but the moment he got drunk suddenly things are different. im not ragging on him. as i think the whole situation is overblown, but it was clear that this was less him "being honest" and more him being drunk and edgy to appease his late night viewers.
as for cheska, i would appreciate her honesty more if she wasnt constantly back-tracking.
--
they arent the first idols to share their honest opinions, and they wont be the last to get shit for it. it all comes down to how they move forward.

honestly, the things she said about her bandmates ps bothered me a lil

im not going to judge him based off of knetizen comments until i see the translations with context myself, but i hope this is a warning to idols in the future to STOP LIVESTREAMING DRUNK/TIPSY. livestreaming is already a risky business as it's impossible to edit/retract real time, but adding alcohol to the mix has always felt like a recipe for disaster.
