I would say it both ,some people are just gifted when it comes to agility but it doesn't mean it not a skill that can be taught and devloped even the ppl born with more ease in that domain put effort in practice, singing is a discipline (with all it skill-sets) that need lessons and training. And no ,the blog meant lyrics in general have more predisposition to be more agile and flexible than more medium and heavier types (they didn't mean sopranos vs mezzos in that case ) but it isn't a rule or a facial feature you're born with lmao some heavier types have showcased more agility than lyrics lighter voices like parkhyoshin is way more agile( mostly showcase that skill in his head voice ) than kyuhyun

Jung in is the only one ahead vowels wise (I will be making a short showcase for her ,ivy, yeoun and eventually Yeachan at her best ) Minkyung and sunye have both some brightness going on occasionally more than the lower AA (with sejeong working them mid belts )

She has the most grounded sound among the 3 Sunye has always had strong technique Even the Eb5 isn't bad ,compare that to yuju recently who's way more nasal (not just live but throught her solo album ...I wasn't impressed even by the B4s ) I would placed yuju way higher if she didn't regress placement wise

I wouldn't consider it regression after her fat resonant D5 in her musical ,she slightly push but it nothing major ....that were it get tricky LYH has some issues resonance wise (she lack fullness in the 4th octave and her vibrato cut through most of her Eb5-G#5 ) also head voice wise it not as impressive as ppl expect someone of her level If you listen to the head voice section it could be way fuller and more resonant (ailee, Yeonji, lina qand arguably Lena have better head voices ) also the lower section isn't that devloped too it whispery and quiet below G#3

I'm sorry I had to relisten to narsha/gain and their ranks had to be changed I already explain my perspective on that sudden change in vocal thread you can check (if you're still confused you can ask me in PM) Ariana wouldn't be anything above a high A (A to AA if we push it/at her best ) mariah was never consistent in her approach(she never consistently supported her head voice or her lower range below G3 ) she also struggled to keep her vowels open (even at her prime in early 90s) I would say anything in between Competent to Good or a lower Good Celine dion was a bit better she had a way more consistent technique in her lows (I think she consistently supported down E3/F3 and had had a quite strong head voice up Bb5/B5 (smh around lena park) Whitney is up there in the highest tier you can think off lol along sohyang ,lara fabian

does this sound like a high AA i was even less impressed with recent clips ps : not sure from where she got that consistent G5 in head voice , personally i haven't found a lot of live clips to be even given a consistent supported head voice
