Oh let me tell my nuna story.
I am a TVXQ5 fan from 2008. So around that time Moon Bin was on Star King with a few other kids as part of the mini-TVXQ.
AND THEN TIME FLEW, I GREW OLD, AND TVXQ WENT TO ENLIST.
And I see a sudden post on my facebook stating, "Where is mini-TVXQ now?"
I was curious and LO AND BEHOLD, MOON BIN IS AN IDOL NOW!
The funny thing is that since TVXQ split, I have been mostly out of KPOP and just fly around to catch their performances when I can (two JYJ, several Junsu's solo concert and one of his musicals and a Yoochun fanmeet).
Then a couple of months ago I turned on the TV, a very rare thing for me to do, and turned to the KBSWORLD channel. During intervals they sometime play random music performances and this time out popped a bunch of boys looking very happy, dancing very well and singing a very cheery song that got me bopping.
It caught my attention a little because I like the vibe and energy that they gave instead of the typical "I'm so cool it hurts even though I'm not even old enough to buy my own soju" vibe. And I thought a few of them were cute (probably it was Eunwoo/Moon Bin). I then waited for the song to end to see if I have heard of the group because I know there are so many famous boy bands now.
ASTRO.
Huh? Who? What? *shrugs* Didn't commit this to my memory but at least know I know they exist.
THEN ANYWAY, BACK TO THE DAY WHEN I DISCOVERED MOON BIN WAS NOW AN IDOL.
I then checked out his group and I was like "OH MY GOSH! HE WAS IN THAT ASTRO GROUP!?"
Started watching the song which was Breathless and the rest is history.
My bias is Eunwoo. Yes, yes I know he is handsome. But so was Jaejoong in TVXQ but he was never my bias. I like Eunwoo a lot because I LOVE his dorky gentle nerdy character. And the fact that he is so smart, disciplined, hardworking and down to earth.
Also, when I first started to learn more about ASTRO, I watched ASTRO OK READY... and I was like.. dude.. this Jin Jin guy.. hate his blonde hair.. and he speaks so slow.. how can he be the leader?
And now barely 2 months later, I take it all back. He's my number 2. He dances SO well (still cannot fathom why his talking speed is inversely proportionate to his dance speed) and has the sweetest smile though he can be so cheesy at times. Oh and the new hair in Autumn Story really kicked his visuals up several notches.
Like I said, I am like almost an ahjumma (but young at heart!) so it feels almost wrong to gush about them like this haha but whatever! I feel that they are really quite a unique group because each of them have their own talents - REAL TALENTS - and strengths!
