Celebrating hard right now! I just finally got enough posts to get my DIA award on here... I'm not the most chatty person so making it happen over the last couple of months has been a big achievement for me and on comeback day of all days~ So I want to introduce myself a little in the thread! I've been lurking most of the time with comments here and there. I'm Merry. I've always loved MBK's groups, and when everything started to come together for DIA in 2015 I started doing my research and fell head over heels for Heehyun. In one of their really early vlives the girls were all at an amusement park and Seunghee/Eunice/Heehyun were trying on various headbands. Heehyun put on one that was like bee antennae. I called her "Cathybee" in the chat and she read out my comment and laughed and thus I have my name. Absolutely love these girls, and I'm so happy that there's such a great community for them on here. I don't have any DIA stan friends elsewhere, but seeing faces on here that are familiar in all the relevant threads feels like I'm a part of something ^^ Bring on the comeback !!!!

This has been driving me nuts, seeing all the comments claiming it's only her.... absolutely none of those people care about DIA because if they did care they'd know all these things. They wouldn't look at a picture and see just "Chaeyeon and the girls". It's true that Chae has the center position but people don't even bother to learn.

Eunchae being added felt, to me, kind of like when Areum was added to T-ARA. The fit was really nice, the connection between the members felt comfortable, and so accepting her was really easy. I hope it's the case for the newbies too...at least the fandom has had some forewarning to adjust, even if the korean public is only really finding out now.

Still not over how little and clingy Jooeun is. Her holding onto Chaen in that video is the most precious thing. And all of these teasers are gorgeous. ;; It does feel like everything is coming out really abruptly now since they could've dragged it out, but no matter I'm just excited (horrrrrrible timing with my personal life for this all to be happening but DIA so...TT)

Is it 소미 or 솜� I've seen both used and I've also seen people romanize it as Som-i or Somyi...do we have a confirmation on any of that yet?

The more haters, the more powerful they are in this case, honestly. People wouldn't bother if they didn't consider DIA a threat~

From the accounts I can find, Sohye does too. Somi and Yeunjung don't.

How cute are they!! All of the performances are so sweet, musically the other two seem to fit in well. Also I've got to say I'm most impressed with Jenny in these, because knowing how to harmonize with everything from memory on that instrument seems more complex than a lot of the other instrument stuff they're doing...

Since there's nothing we can actually do about it, I'm mostly wondering about the older girl's birthday, is she older or younger than Heehyun. I always feel like adding someone new, adding a fresh maknae is best. Adding someone close to or even older than the leader's age feels like a more difficult situation socially.

Heehyun from the start! In one of their earliest afreeca vids she was in charge of holding the phone and notes and stuff and seemed to stick close with the manager in keeping things organized and I thought it was really cute. And then (I think this was very shortly after debut?) They did a VLive at an amusement park and Cathy read my comment out loud and said 'I love you' at me so I mean... I was pretty easily sold after that lol

I got into them predebut, in August the info on the upcoming group members was getting more readily available and I got really attached to Heehyun from what few clips there were at the time, and there was a whole twitter account documenting her transition from Woolim to MBK and such. The hype grew when they started doing stuff on Afreeca TV. They did a charity thing at a school and some other little events and it just really endeared me to them. I felt like the group as a whole was on a humble but spirited path and I can't look away~
