  1. Rose's vocal tone is not very pleasant, it's unique but honestly I'd much rather listen to Jennie
  2. would appealing actually help me or would it be disregarded I mean it was unintentional since i was not attempting to bash the user and I saw other posts linking threads before, but even if it was unintentional, would it matter?
  3. can a mod explain why i got banned from bashing thread?
  4. I don't get this logic Idols flat-out talk about their insane and unhealthy diets. Laboum Solbin: Ate 240 calories only to lose weight. This is EXTREMELY unhealthy and could lead to death and various other extreme health issues. IU: Ate only an apple, a protein shake, and a sweet potato for weeks before comebacks. Under 800 calories. Again, considered starving yourself. DIA Chaeyeon: Starved herself, only ate tofu sometimes for months to lose a shit ton of weight. Now has blood pressure problems. AOA Mina: Starved despite already being extremely skinny, didn't even drink water during her diet. Nine Muses: Their 'paper cup' diet is also a form of starvation that could lead to immense health issues. That's only a few I can think of. Oh my girl member Jine has anorexia, and she always had "great skin and fluffy cheeks". But obviously, if she was hospitalized/treated for anorexia she wasn't healthy, even though she looked like this: Again, Laboum Solbin's diet is ridiculously unhealthy, and she still looks glowing: Not to mention Chaeyeon who downright admitted to STARVING and having blood pressure issues because of her unhealthy diet, and yet her skin is among the top in idols: Sorry, but starving and extremely unhealthy diets are the norm for Kpop idols. They diet in ways that would count as eating disorders in other countries. And yet very few of them ever look gaunt in the face or have bad skin. Only UEE and Lizzy and sometimes IU ever showed signs of gauntness (but not bad skin). Idols go through great lengths to protect their skin so that's not a sign. I agree that they should not be body shamed for being skinny and people shouldn't automatically assume that every thin idol is extremely unhealthy, but it's a fact that Kpop idols use drastic, extreme, and ridiculously unhealthy methods to lose weight and remain their thin bodies. I mean, the fact is that some of them only eat one meal a day (if that), and they exercise, practice, and move around constantly all day because of their careers. That's definitively not healthy.
  5. Tomboy types are my type too, but it has more to do w/ mannerisms than it has to do with how they dress/look. For example, BP Jisoo, Exid Hani, SNSD Taeyeon, and APink Eunji are not "classic" tomboys, they often wear dresses, they have long hair and their company styles them more girly and with lots of dresses and skirts. Yet their mannerisms are so attractive and their personalities are "tomboyish" and attract me a lot. But I still have a huge ass crush on Jisoo and Hani. I like Eunji a lot too. So I think it has to do more with mannerisms and personality traits, rather than short hair and boyish clothes. If a girl has that chivalrious, cool personality where she takes care of other girls gently, and just has that sort of aura....that relaxed, cool, yet flirty (?) aura.....that sort of "tomboyish" personality is what I find really attractive. It has more to do with a cool, chivalrous charm, rather than the short hair and boyish clothes. But yeah, those things can affect it too.
  6. Just to be clear, I get the whole "straight/bi girls fetishizing gay men" argument going on, and it's definitely a real and valid issue and point But let's also not jump on and say every bi fangirl, or even straight one, is necessarily here to validate her ships or to fetishize her biases. Personally, I'm a bisexual (leaning more towards girls though) fangirl, and I don't ship anyone romantically or fetishize anyone. The reason i go into this thread, along with the lesbian thread, is bc as someone who is LGBT+, I'm interested to see which idols may also be LGBT+. I visit both the gay and lesbian threads bc I am interested in which idols may be LGBT+, and like to discuss. I don't care whether my biases end up being gay, bi, straight, lesbian, demi, pan, etc- I just like discussing and speculating about which idols may be LGBT+, since I am LGBT+ myself. I just want to point out that while yes, a lot of fangirls here are perhaps straight or bi fangirls fetishizing gay men, a lot of them may also be here for actual discussion. Like me, I honestly just am interested in seeing which idols may belong to the same community as me, but I'm not here to fetishize and force any sexuality onto anyone.
  7. Can they stop piling on like 400 fucking pounds of makeup on Irene? She's so fucking pretty with less and minimal makeup. They always literary put so much shit on her and Seulgi's faces, and Wendy too, that it looks creepy as hell and makes them age like 20 years. Like....fuck it, they look so much better with minimal to medium makeup, not 500000 shades of eyeshadow, 400 layers of mascara, 4 types of lipgloss/liner/bbcream/etc. All idols wear a shit ton of makeup, but RV's stylists overdo it and make it look so fucking cheap and unnatural. And they ALWAYS OVERDO THE BBCREAM. Which most kpop MUAs do, but RV's is on another level. This gif just looks unnatural and creepy because of the thick makeup she has on. You can see her beautiful features because Irene is a beautiful girl, but the makeup still throws it off. IRENE IS BEAUTIFUL AND 400 POUNDS OF FUCKING MAKEUP DOES NOT HELP HER. SHE JUST NEEDS MINIMAL MAKEUP. SAME WITH SEULGI. STOP IT, RV MAKEUP ARTISTS. She's gorgeous, but that's WAY. TOO. MUCH. MAKEUP. Her face looks stiff with it. Stop it. She doesn't fucking need that much. Other examples of RV's MAU's doing way too much: Or maybe not "too much", but it's just badly done so it looks cheap and too thick and not blended well enough: It's stage makeup but 100% of Kpop idols have stage makeup and it's just that RV always overdoes the bbcream and blush and eyeshadow. And don't blend it well. Irene looks beautiful even with the shitty, messy makeup, just because she IS so damn beautiful. But look at the eyeshadow underneath her eyes here: And the bbcream and the lipstick is just too much and uneven. UGH. THIS IS A CRIME. RED VELVET NEEDS THEIR HAPPINESS STYLISTS AGAIN. OR EVEN DUMB DUMB WAS BETTER, MAKEUP-WISE. Proper styling for Irene: Minimal eyemakeup, just some eyeliner and mascara, very light blush, pink lips:
  8. i think Jihoon, Justin and Ren all look like Baekhyun. Justin looks like Luhan and Baek's lovechild
  9. he's so freaking cute/precious I'm stanning I stan at first sight and I'm never wrong about who I stan tbfh I already know he's gonna be an amazing prince
  10. No, not entirely, because based on other writers of the same time period, it was not a common mannerism and body language overall. So he lived in the Victorian Era and specifically in London (he did grow up partially in Dublin but did most of his writing and such in England). Here are some photos of other male writers born the same time period as Oscar Wilde, who lived in the same places as him: Charles Dickens was also of the same era (Victorian era, around early to late 1800s, English writer) and here are some of his portraits and posed photos: Anthony Trollope, also a Victorian era English writer (1815-1882): Tennyson, the leading poem of the Victorian Era, born much earlier than Wilde but died around the same time: The common mannerisms that adult males in Oscar Wilde's era used: Hands on lap, hands together on lap, legs sat down normally and slightly open (the 'typical' male pose). I do see what you're referring to, because in Victorian times, young boys often posed for portraits and photographs like this: However, that was only done during one's youth. When one became an adult, he no longer posed like that- it was a practice only for young boys, usually. Oscar Wilde continued to use that sort of posing and those mannerisms and body language long after he grew into adulthood, and in fact, people back in his time did remark in his postures and mannerisms, so it's not just a cultural thing in this case. Young boys often posed every elegantly and in a feminine manner, so I can see where you're coming from. In this case, Oscar Wilde had a reputation for his flamboyant mannerisms, so I don't think it was just cultural. Exactly I was about to add that Wilde's mannerisms were in fact, not just "cultural", because he did have a bad rep for his flamboyancy. However, that doesn't mean culture doesn't always play a role- it can. It just doesn't in this case. And yeah, not every flamboyant guy is gay- but we should keep in mind that mannerisms and body language can be hints too.
  11. Okay so I'm not trying to reinforce gay stereotypes or any of that shit but I just want to point out that sometimes, stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason and we should pay attention to certain things I was doing stuff for my English class and I was writing an autobiography for Oscar Wilde In case you didn't know, Oscar Wilde wrote The Picture of Dorian Gray, which is one of the gayest books of the 19th century. The book was published in 1890 and got a lot of hate for being so heavily homoerotic. In fact, it was so gay it got censored. Oscar Wilde was later arrested for having an affair with another man, Lord Alfred Douglas. Basically, Oscar Wilde was pretty fucking gay And this is a photo of a sculpture of him. Photos of him: This was way back in the mid to late 1800s. I think it's a good reminder that while we should never stereotype, we also should keep in mind that body language, expression, and style really can be a good indicator for sexuality sometimes. idk this is kind of a useless post but just a reminder i guess. Btw, just a cute fact- Oscar Wilde wrote an autobiography meant mainly for his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas (Boise). Boise was the love of his life, which he made clear in the autobiography.
  12. Seulgi is the prettiest RV member. I get that Irene is beautiful in a conventional way but there is something so magnetic about Seulgi and her visuals and charisma that just makes her so much more beautiful to me
  13. Who put thumbtacks in your cereal this morning?
  14. I'm not ready to start calling him by his name, but I've at least stopped calling him the Antichrist. Exactly this, I agree so much.
  15. apparently Jimin says he has a nickname of "J**gkook's toy" and that he likes it because he likes the way he (J**gkook) plays with him. As if that spanking scene wasn't enough
  16. La La Land didn't deserve to win any major awards unless it was maybe for their soundtrack, but even then, it's not that special Mina is the least visually appealing member in Twice
  17. I don't see anything at all weird about this video? At all? I am surprised anyone found anything out of the ordinary in this vid. Nothing stands out to me at all. It just looks like Suga walked over to talk to Jimin, they talk, Jimin tells him "Look, there's a camera" since Suga's back was turned to the camera. Jimin probably just wanted Suga to know bc having the back to the camera when the camera focuses on you, usually idols face the camera. So then Suga turned to face be camera and danced while facing the camera. Seemed perfectly normal to me and neither of them seems sad. In fact they seem to be enjoying themselves.
  18. This doesn't say anything much but just found it interesting Jay Park collated with @nigahiga on YouTube a long ass time ago for this video
  19. how come? Just wondering because I literally thought "JiKook has been seriously strong recently" just before I read your post. lmao
  20. Knock Knock is the best Twice song so far I Mina, Sana and Momo are the less interesting Twice members and the Korean line is better. This is unpopular since it's the foreign line that's worshipped in OH.
