  1. Ugh, he's so cute talking about how he wants to do "real work" like the hyungs who compose so he bought virtual instruments to try but doesn't feel confident. I love every time JK does a solo vlog or VLive just because he can fall to the back in other content sometimes, not speak much or just give semi-canned answers (if it is an interview). These little clips always feel genuine and guarantee lots of talking.
  2. Aw, good for Venny! She deserves it for making such a cool thing happen. Part of me wonders if it could be that RM might feature on a Wale track with a verse. Then, of course, my brain starts thinking if he will do it in English. I honestly hope not -- not 100% English, at least, even if it is in MORE English -- because the blend of the two is his style and it is how he interweaves the languages that makes his verses even more special.
  3. My favorite BTS+ chat so far! I love that Hobi was reading and responding to the comments people were making, as best he could. So sweet, not that this is unexpected at all. ALSO. MIXTAPE. If he is working on it this year, then I would anticipate a Feb/March 2017 drop of it? BEYOND EXCITED to see what he does with a sound all his own! And yes please I hope he has more dancing and rapping MVs because Boy Meets Evil was not long enough. I feel like this collab MUST be happening. I wonder, too, if it will be on RM's mixtape, or if he will maybe feature on a future BTS song, or if they are going to work together to compose something for BTS. RM's mixtape would be the safest bet, but Wale is well-known and would be great as a feature as well. I'm here for all of it. [edit] I topped! It is JK Day, yes?
  4. Late, but -- I actually interpreted the "I can't rap like that anymore" part about What Am I To You? to be a self-deprecating comment about his self-described weak throat/vocal chords. When he gets to that really intense almost shout-rap, in particular, there is an intentional strain in the passion of it, which I adore but can imagine would be challenging to do night after night. So I thought of it more as him scaling back from writing so much in that style, not stopping it altogether. Or if you look at something like Awakening, which has a driving, passionate flow and is a hard rap but doesn't reach the same intensity/strain of What Am I To You? -- I don't think he was talking about not doing that kind of rapping. Honestly, I can't imagine a world in which RM stops his hard-hitting raps, especially since it is a huge part of why he is so noteworthy and such a stand-out.
  5. I still need to do my Hobi and Yoongi appreciation posts, BUT I wanted to say that I didn't cringe as much at the latest Run as I thought I would. Only because it was BTS doing what I love -- mocking the entire thing the whole time and making jokes out of how bad they were at it. My favorite part was maybe when Jimin was squirming and giggling at the double-questioning by stoic JK and Yoongi. I also enjoyed that they kept coming in and out of the set, sometimes in different outfits, sometimes with hair different. I feel like they were just screwing around on and off set for several hours and then letting the editing team cobble together whatever they saw fit. Hobi and Tae were the only ones who seemed like they tried to stick to the initial plan. All in all, I laughed a lot -- especially during the hyung line dad joke section. A++
  6. Oh god, this might be my new favorite JK cover. Fools is shook. The quality is so good~ Bahahaha, A++
  7. Oh god, burn that hat they put on RM. Why. Why. Also, agreeing that this SD stage was maybe my favorite. Very beautifully shot~
  8. Ah, thanks~ I personally enjoyed the irritated/shocked tone of the fan who was filming when she saw someone behaving badly, especially because she sounded young. Way to be a mature fan, mysterious filmer~
  9. I don't remember seeing this posted, but some of my favorite RM moments are when he is looking at the camera or at a person and then looks down and smiles more to himself: Click here to view the Tweet
  10. I don't speak Korean, but doesn't that sound like Yoongi's voice at the end of the video. Does anyone know what he says?
  11. More evidence for Slytherin!Jimin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y7i75aScTo He clicks the button and lies about it~
  12. Bless you, cameraman and production team, for doing an excellent job and not zooming in obsessively or panning weirdly away during the point choreography. Echoing a lot of people's questions about the live vs. not live parts. At times, it seemed live, but at others... no. RM has been hard to pin down these past few stages just because his voice is so distinctive when he is live and it feels like he is partially live/partially backing track. It could be they are sick or trying to conserve themselves for the tour? So used to being spoiled by Almost Always Live BTS. I can't say for sure.
  13. Like the AMAZING and RIDICULOUS giggle fest they had when they were trying to practice beatboxing? I loved it. I feel like Hobi won AHL because everyone seemed to like him. AND YAY FOR TEA~ I love tea. Delicious. Also, highfiving myself for being awake again to watch them live.
  14. When I saw a mention in someone's sig that the image there was "rotational" to "show different pictures," I thought that meant that if I turned my head I would suddenly see something else, like those optical illusion things. After about three minutes of looking like an asshat doing this, I realized they meant that the picture rotates whenever you refresh the page. Starting today strong, aren't we, self?
  15. Jinkook has crept up the list to one of my favorite friendship pairings for all of these reasons! Another great AHL moment is when Dante apparently had a phone conversation in front of them where he said he didn't want to be teamed up with them because they seemed boring... and Jin understood what he said because he speaks some English but was able to openly talk about it in the car because he knew Dante did not speak any Korean. I really wonder what went on behind the scenes that day, especially after he hits Jin with the stuffed animal. Jin was literally frustrated and talking to the PD to try and translate something to Dante when he gets hit. Then he turns to glare. And BAM -- transition to next scene. What happened in that moment? I want to know~ Such a gentleman. (Also, me. I want to go to there.) This also reminds me of how he turned to take Ailee's hand and walk her down the stairs after the lights went out during KCON NY.
  16. I haven't done my Jin Appreciation post, and I want to get it in before we switch members! So many people have so eloquently described reasons to love him that I echo so instead I will try to switch it up by limiting it to my top 3 things I have learned about him that I love. 1. The fact that he ran away from casting agencies multiple times, but decided to give BigHit a chance. He was trying to go about his dream a traditional path -- enrolled and got accepted to college on his own, kept going (in person, at that) as much as possible even as BTS got more and more famous, wanted to attend his graduation in person because that was how significant it was to him. Something about this is so delightfully normal and relatable. I wonder forever what BigHit said that convinced him to stay and am forever grateful he did. 2. The fact that he was the one who drove JK to school in the morning. This is, by far, the most endearing thing. Yes, I also love that he cooked for the members, but something about him being the one who woke JK up and took him there. How many other groups do that? This makes their relationship now especially entertaining because of the way they play with each other. And learning even more care-taking things like the fact that Jin loaned JK his credit card at some point in case he needed anything. Or how JK idolized how Jin exercised and that is why he started to do it. Out of all the members, I feel like Jin truly is JK's adoptive older brother, not just his hyung. 3. The moment during American Hustle Life when Yoongi was about to lose his shit at Dante in the shop, and Jin went into protective mode, marching him out of the store and saying, "Hold it in, hold it in..." and then telling the camera to give them a moment and stop filming. (Then, later, when Dante hits him with the stuffed animal, he gives him the greatest oh, fuck you glare of all time.) All pretense or silliness was dropped, and he went straight into taking care of his friend. Even though it is not often shown on camera, I think Jin and Yoongi have a deep understanding of each other -- and perhaps Jin is one of the only members in the group who takes care of Yoongi (since it feels like Yoongi is in more of a care-taking role with most of the other members). I limited myself to 3 so I will stop there -- but you can also see echoes of his care-taking nature in how he insisted on continuing to swim and hunt for the team on Law of the Jungle, even though he was exhausted. A lot of people already talked about this -- but his confidence in variety is such an asset to BTS. He doesn't mind making himself the joke and never gets flustered when hosts push back. I think, even outside of BTS, he would be a great choice for a variety show host. Another excellent example of this was when everyone else got a little shy/nervous during their encore stage last night, but Jin marched up to the camera and did it, which loosened everyone else. Oh, and plus, he's hot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBJm_0tWZuU
  17. Okay, part of me wants to stay awake to see if they do a VLive, but I am sleepy and I bet they are sleepy too. What a lovely way to end a messy day on OH~
  18. I always like when they rewear photoshoot outfits. One because thrifty goals and two because I typically like their styling. Still anti-beret though. Iconic Hobi gif incoming.
  19. Bruh, I know I am biased and all, but BTS stands out so much in a crowd. Like, I don't usually watch music shows live and only pay attention to highlights of groups I follow. So watching these things when I do get the chance is always interesting for me. HOWEVER, Spring Day, especially, was nothing like anything else on the stage tonight. It was so artistic yet still had a high level of choreography. A lot of other performances blur together for me, but theirs stands out so much. How can you watch that music program and not stan them? Especially watching them switch from Not Today to Spring Day and having that kind of duality? Feeling #blessed.
  20. Every time I see BTS anywhere near R*d V*lvet I think about that Yaman TV interview where they talked about the girl group they wanted to get close to and they were split between them and S*SD: [edit] BTS is on! Starting with NOT TODAY~
