  1. I will be at both Newark dates with two other people. On Thursday, we are seated P1, I think, and I am P2 on Friday. (We could only get 3 separate seats on Friday because of the mad dash for tickets so we aren't able to sit together, weep.) So we are DEFINITELY IN on the "we love you" chant.
  2. Total delulu aside -- why am I now hoping BTS pulls some Taylor Swift-style PLEASE WELCOME OUR SPECIAL GUEST, WALE~ to perform it at one of the Newark dates?
  3. There are so many things of worth to reply to in this thread but mine eyes hath seen the glory of the coming of the (mixtape) lord. I need to listen to it 1000 more times before I can intelligently collect thoughts, but here are some glimpses: - The styling of the video is amazing. Do You taught me how amazing RM is in black and white and this did not disappoint. - I had a tougher time understanding RM's verse than I normally do, but I found a translation of the lyrics and love the meaning, obviously. The bit "who is stupid, them or me?" was excellent. Part of me was sad there was no Korean, if only because I love his blend of Korean and English, but any time he does something new is fascinating and exciting. I am curious to see if we have full-on English verses on his mixtape too, or if he leaned this way specifically because he was collaborating with Wale. - I also like his reference to "what do we tell our sons" -- influence of the Man Book? - My favorite part in the song is the last minute or so where they are rapping together. At first, I was thrown by the sudden pause, but that final breakdown is A++. Loved the line with something about winter's eye? Too lazy to look it up. Also, I adore any time RM references drinking. - UGH THE MESSAGE. What a relevant time to drop something like this, during a politically turbulent time for both countries. If this is a sign of what is to come with his mixtape... my poor little heart and mind are going to explode. - Namjoon + Long Coats Forever - How FAST did they get this done? The wheels were immediately turning. THAT is beyond impressive. - So now... let the mixtape come. Ugh, so many other feelings, but I need to go listen to it again 100 times.
  4. I was out being social and stuff and then RM went and released the Wale collaboration when I wasn't looking. So many feelings.
  5. Why does Jimin look like Hobi's young nephew here? The way Jimin is slouching/leaned back while Hobi is leaning forward a little makes Jimin look so small because of the perspective. Aw, that, "Welcome to Mexico!" was super sweet, and the fans filming this kept a really generous distance. A+++ ARMY video~
  6. I usually do ktown4u with EMS because it comes so fast, but the shipping was super expensive this time so I went with YesAsia. They take longer, but I have always gotten what I ordered. I'm in the US.
  7. Wow, the Muster DVD is much cheaper for me on YesAsia this time. I went with the DVD version this time, to mix it up.
  8. I resisted choosing a bias, especially because this was a foreign concept to me as a new-to-KPOP fan. I realized when I was watching the raw versions of Problematic Men episodes and listening to RM's mixtape on repeat and adding its tracks to every playlist that I have, more or less, that... yes, I am a bit RM-biased. Having conversations with my Yoongi-biased sister also revealed me as RM-biased. Yoongi grabbed me as I fell more into the BTS discography and realized that tracks produced by him were among my favorites. I also love watching him in interviews more than probably anyone else in the group, including RM. Nowadays, that has upgraded to being full-on rap line biased (including Jungkook). Hobi really got me via the combination of KCON NY and the Era of J-Hope, also known as WINGS. I watched Boy Meets Evil way too many times to ignore it. I tend to consider myself, mentally, OT7-biased with a preference/tendency to pay more attention to four members, but "preference" is just a code for bias, methinks. All of them together is still infinity-times-greater than any of them solo.
  9. My money, where did you go? I have to set a limit on my wallet so I will only buy one of these! Last time, I got the concert on a blu-ray for better quality. I am contemplating getting the DVD version since I imagine it will be cheaper and greedy me wants the one that is being released sooner. But idkkkk... I really like super high-quality picture when it is a concert-setting. DECISIONS, DECISIONS. I will have to make this decision tomorrow. [edit] Whoops, topped: [x]
  10. Or win a bunch of money. :( Good thing is there is plenty of new content always coming!
  11. I would vote show first, mixtape after. If BTS could time it so that he is on the show and then his mixtape drops either while he is on it or shortly after, that could be a nice wave of exposure. Since he is still working on the mixtape, I feel like getting on the show can happen faster so selfishly I would like that as well.
  12. ---- In advance of the Newark dates, I hit up redbubble for some more BTS clothing options. I ended up picking up these two: Though it took me a lot of willpower to not also get:
  13. Oh god, I just want to go outside so I can know BTS and I are both breathing NYC air. UGH. Seriously. So close.
  14. MY HEART IS FULL. 1) I love Yoongi. 2) We share a birthday, though I am older. 3) I love Hobi and his birthday message. 4) LOL I love JK and his reverence toward Yoongi, broken up by teasing. 5) MILLION SELLERS~ YAY~
  15. OHGOD -- so I have never made a thread on OH before, but I did one for Yoongi's birthday. Please come share your opinion on my thoughts on his best lyrics! It's so lonely there. Cold. Because his birthday is soon~ Fun fact: I was born the same day, though a different year. Pisces sibling, obvi.
  16. Free Heechul posted this photo in another thread. I have never seen it before and can't stop thinking this is a sitcom I would love to watch:
  17. I am loving this walk down memory lane! Also, still holding an internal vigil for the day that all of Problematic Men is subbed. Pour one out -- but also thank you to translators because it is a super dense show. I have a lot of love for the first summer package I ever saw:
  18. Hobi bringing me back to my childhood with "I'll Be Missing You" -- approved~ I also love that Kendrick Lamar song.
  19. Okay, I need to get these out before I am overwhelmed: Why I Love Hoseok Okay, I was going to do other members, but this took longer than I expected. Anticipate Yoongi and RM at a later date~
  20. PerezHilton reacted to the onslaught of hate he got for tweeting at BTS. I understand people's apprehension at him and his problematic past. Yet I also feel it is a little nuts that the Twitter masses went for his throat because he complimented them. If anything, it was more exposure for them. I haven't listened to the podcast to see if he says more, but I did listen to the preview clip at the link.
