  1. All of you lovely multi-lingual individuals are making me feel like a garbage one-language American. THE PLIGHT. I studied Spanish in high school and got fairly fluent, but I stopped taking it and using it in college... where it promptly slipped away from me. When I was in kindergarten, they had us in Spanish class, but when the education budget started getting slashed by conservative politicians, languages were one of the first things to go. They had gotten rid of my art teacher too by the time I hit fifth grade. I am a middle school English teacher, though I am becoming Director of Operations for my school next year. I love how diverse all our careers are!
  2. This article is amazing. I love that they actually give background on the group (and RM). It reflects a much higher level of familiarity with BTS. GOOD JOB, JOURNALIST-PERSON! This is the kind of article that could snatch fans more than the less personal press they've been getting. Though I still love those more surface pieces too.
  3. Wha, mini-concert? They were signing posters -- does that mean a lucky group of fans got to attend and managed to keep it secret? Keeping it secret would be the biggest surprise of all.
  4. Oh my god, I can't. Adorable. I love how RM remembered the name of the Ohama interviewer and repeated it at the end. So polite! Also enjoy that he said other members enjoy drinking. I am pretty sure he was just trying to say going out to eat, but I enjoy the mental picture of half of them wasted juxtaposed with RM's self-described image of himself slaving away to produce in the hotel room, hah. [edit] HAH -- watch the San Diego one, if you watch nothing else. Trust me. [edit] Have some piercing gaze Hobi:
  5. I finally watch the subbed version of Yoongi's V-Live after the final day of the Newark concert. The way he kept saying, "It was a great concert..." in this genuine voice made me a very happy ARMY. He seemed so at peace and pleased with his life, and I'm glad the concert inspired him to head home and V-Live immediately. It makes me feel like we were a good audience.
  6. This may have been linked already with the Kehlani-BTS mutual follow, but I love this track from her when I am feeling a slow jam: On the same sexy slow jam note, let's enjoy some Tinashe: I LOVE Corinne Bailey Rae, and she dropped a new track (beautiful cover of a Coldplay song) for the newest 50 Shades soundtrack that I am also feeling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMlUB_n0UgQ
  7. I love Corinne Bailey Rae, especially that song, and I love Birdy too! I lol'd the most at Colors of the Wind -- though it is an A++ Disney jam.
  8. @52Hz, re: mannequin question -- The mannequin challenge is associated with this song: Where you freeze for the beginning and then break out of the freeze in the final verse. It was an internet trend that started when a group of students posted a video of them doing it. Spread like wildfire. I only know this because I teach middle school and my students are OBSESSED with it. To the point that we have had "mannequin challenges" as school events. Ah, middle school~
  9. Excellent BTS content. Living their truth. Incredibly successful, legions of fans, visiting a foreign city... and they just want to play video games with each other like any other young adult.
  10. Click here to view the Tweet Oh my god, US-soil Jay. Stop coming for me. I can't. I'm not strong enough.
  11. Aw, JK saying he can't bring his timidness. Adorable. *insert Jackson "cute" gif* /lazy
  12. Not feeling this Tamar Herman Billboard article -- someone made a thread for it here. Not only does it have a couple errors in it -- like saying they performed War of Hormone when they did not. (Girl, were you there forreal?) But she also had a couple random subs thrown in there, like saying they looked lethargic? I did not sense this at all. Uncool.
  13. Agreed! I think there were benefits and drawbacks to many of the seating locations, but all of them are good. I also liked the camerawork they were doing on the screens. Being as close as I was made me thirsty to get even closer, but the pit scares me. I loved when RM said this. I swooned.
  14. HUGE VENUE but small world! We were seats 12, 13, and 14. Hilarious. I tried to snap him both on the screen and stage, to middling results (this was from Friday):
  15. Okay, one more cam from Thursday, this was me trying to catch the song medley, though part of it got cut out: I also was really sad that they snipped out War of Hormone. I love that song and think it is clever/playful, woe.
  16. WHOA, we must have been sitting incredibly close to each other! I was section 7, Row 5 on Thursday. Though, sad story, on BOTH NIGHTS I somehow missed the fan project for colored bags so I had a sad, naked bomb both times: This photo is from the second night, section 21. STILL NO BAG. I was extra sad because there were like 4 people two rows behind me who had no lightsticks and were just holding up the colored bags. They didn't even put a cellphone inside to try and make it happen, weep. I am also envious of how high quality your photos turned out. All of mine ended up with a weird white-washing across their faces, sometimes obscuring their features entirely. As for RM, I found myself watching him in a lot of the dances because he felt so close. Also, these are not good quality, but I took a Reflection fancam:
  17. I finally got around to uploading the not-great-quality fancams I took on Thursday in Newark. Friday ones to come at some point. OKAY SO IT ISN'T HD, but it comes from the heart, yay. Kind of like how you could always order food that tastes better than what you cook at home, but there is still something special about a home-cooked meal. My home-cooked fancams: I got too excited for Cypher and missed the beginning of RM's part like a garbage stan WHOOPS. BUT I got all of Reflection, including the sweet "WE LOVE YOU" chant.
  18. I arrived on page 7225! I had no idea what OH was, but saw my sister posting on something and decided to join after watching over her shoulder for the beginning half of Thanksgiving break.
