  1. I liked the track they released. I am curious to see what else they put out! Definitely someone I am keeping an eye out for.
  2. Hot damn, I adore how BTS plays with sexuality, being comfortable taking on a more feminine seduction. Still manly. Super evolved. Ugh, the best.
  3. Honestly, read for yourself, you'd question yourself why you don't love him more afterwards. From the article: Spiritual Husband, get out of my head. [edit] God, I love him and want to quote 4million more parts: "To put simply, someone sexy is a person who makes me feel, 'I can learn from this person, I want to know more about this person, I think that talking to this person will enrich me.' And I like someone who knows loneliness. I want this person to be someone who will respond to my discussion about loneliness with "Ah, I think I know what you mean", not "Why are you always so lonely?"" "People endlessly want their existences validated. The reason that I do music is to validate my own existence through my story and music. I don't want to be someone boring. I want to be someone whose name leaves a mark in history."
  4. I am a Total Worrier so I would be nervous taking a big trick like that with lots of rigging to a variety of venues. I feel certain they will have some beautiful, artsy nods throughout though! As expected of our BTS. Uh, those coarsetoys are cool. They give me, like, Kubo and the Two Strings vibes.
  5. Because I have never listened to other KPOP groups truly, I feel this SO HARD when I watch any music shows or award shows. THIS IS TOTALLY MY OPINION. For me, the majority of acts seem so dead-eyed. It makes me understand where the "mannequin" stigma comes from. I'm not going to be a douche and name drop the popular acts I see do this, but I have had serious moments of: wait, why do people think you are so amazing again? You seem so uniform in a bland way. Again, that may be preference because I know some people are into that style. But I supremely dislike when groups have a choral sound, as in all their voices are purposely made to sound the same -- they were taught to do it that way to increase uniformity because some people are into that. Just not me. Every voice in BTS is so distinct to me! I love it. Like a drug. ESPECIALLY the rap line. It can be a gang vocal, and I'm like -- oh hey, RM. Hey, Hobi. Yoongi this time? Hey, son. Of course, I have also noticed groups who seem to be an exception to this. AGAIN. From my POV. I think M*MAMOO is an example. They give so much charisma in their expressions, even if I am more ambivalent to their actual dancing. But they feel so present on stage. I also find them engaging and entertaining in their VLives and other content. I also think BL*CKP*NK has some charisma on stage, buckets of it from Lisa especially. (I am still looking for more personality/uniqueness in their non-performance content, but they are still rookies.) From my limited experience with KPOP, no one quite matches BTS for me. I find them all so engaging to watch, and they come across so genuine in basically everything they do. RM may not be the best dancer, but his rap delivery is captivating every single time. He punches out his words and flows so consistently. I have never seen a performance from him that I felt lukewarm about. How can you not be drawn to that?
  6. In my limited experience, the sides are better because they are closer to the stage. The way I look at it, I can just watch a recording of a performance if I want the head-on view. I'd rather be closer. CLOSER... CLOSER... I don't know if everyone will perform their solos. I wonder if they will do a medley or just sections of their songs. I would, for one, love a flowing loooooong medley of individual numbers where they transition seamlessly from one into the next. Yeah, I had never even heard a KPOP song before, other than Psy. My sister was needling me about listening to this one band she was certain I would like. I waffled about it, and then she played me a lot of RM stuff and... I was in. It helped that I watched a YouTube channel of, like, 138 bombs in a row. I was garbage before I knew that term, or 'bias' or any of it. I have never been part of a "fandom" before so... it's all new. Good thing BTS is A+++ worth it.
  7. I couldn't believe how strongly I felt this. It hit me that I was in the same room -- a big ass room, but the same one nonetheless -- as people who I had been somewhat obsessively following for months from the other side of the world. (I was late to the game, first heard of them in March 2016, obsessed shortly thereafter.) I found myself in a strange euphoric, giggly state, which is very far from the norm for me. The power of getting to decide where I looked without any editing or fancam lens was amazing. And a bit overwhelming. But mostly just amazing. Agreed on RM's voice being so strong and you can make out every word. He isn't dropping any lines to make it easier, which I respected a lot, especially on Cypher. I found JK worked the crowd really consistently. The people who faded into the back for me were Tae, Jimin, and Jin. But they might just be more subtle, which is less visible where I was. Yoongi was A++ for me all night. He danced Save Me so hard; I could not look away. I am also amazed by how captivating he is just standing in one place on his Cypher verse. RM was doing more moving/working the crowd. He also traveled on his verse. Hobi also came across very charismatic! He stayed basically in the same spot Yoongi ended up coming to, but was interacting more with the other members around him.
  8. I could see them! But more like their bodies, not facial expressions. I needed the screens for that. I realized that I had to be closer whenever they came back. But even up there, it was amazing. I nearly fell down to the next row of seats when the beat dropped on Cypher Pt. 3: KILLER. Here have this non-flash selfie my sister helped me take to show my position in relation to them. This was the mezzanine. I'll be in lower level seating when I see them for WINGS:
  9. This. When I saw them at KCON NY, I was amazed at how hype and attention-pulling Yoongi, Hobi, and JK were. They kept pulling my focus. Though I was so high up that the "selfie" I took with them makes them look like ants.
  10. Agreed with all this. I would definitely aim for P1 or P2 seated if you can afford it. I avoid GA Standing because my heart is old and not pleased with being pushed or standing for a long time. I would try on the day of, and if you don't get them, you can roll the dice and wait until closer to the event -- though you do run the risk of getting nothing. But if you are on the fence anyway, that might be okay!
  11. Same. I had started trying to rationalize why a trip to Chicago might be nice and then realized that was Being Crazy.
  12. I am terrified I won't be able to sell the extra set of tickets I have for the Thursday Newark date. We found better ones so we ended up with two sets, assuming we could sell the others. Just eying my wallet with terror for a bit...
  13. Thanks for compiling all those recommendations! GO! You never know when they will float this way again. If it is feasible, I would try. #RMusic This song just makes me happy and is on most of my walking-around/getting-ready playlists, even if it is outside my normal wheelhouse: I also like a good lady power song:
  14. BACKREADING FTW~ Okay now I can say -- the OST is cute! I am definitely happy it is not some tired maudlin ballad. It's catchy and upbeat and lovely. I think it suits both of their voices. Not the kind of song I will obsess over, but definitely nice. It could be terrible and I would still listen to it to support them though, such hot garbage that I am. Also, LOL @ this line from it: Shout-out BTS on the DL?
  15. They've been clear in all the promos that his part is one of the smaller Hwarang roles so it would be kind of dumb for people to raise a fuss, agreed. I think having a project with so many talented actors in it who clearly love him as his FIRST role is a huge deal. I also am hoping he gets a beautiful death to make his performance stand out even more and be even more memorable to the general public. I usually don't love ~*silly*~ k-dramas, but watching all these promos to support Tae has made me also love Minho so I plan to stick around for its duration. Pretty sure it can't compete with Goblin in my heart, which is my shit right now, but I love seeing any of the boys doing something outside of the realm of BTS. It is why I suffered through that Flower Path/Dirt Road nonsense that JK was on. Like a champion.
  16. WHOA @ that beautiful Suho/V moment in there. I don't follow E*O at all, but I have liked Suho ever since I saw him appear on Problematic Men when RM was still a panelist. I love how they support each other and are so kind. Makes all the drama seem so silly.
  17. Uh, and I died at the scrunched up RM face as there was the Most Beautiful Sugamon Moment in Life Pt. 2?
  18. I had JUST discovered OH, earned my first badge, and BAM -- it went down. I felt cursed. In the short time I was active before it went down, I realized how much I loved having more people to talk about BTS with. And when I was panicking over buying tickets for the Newark show, I would have loved to e-hold hands in solidarity.
