I think it's a double-edged sword. If it works well, Wangju might end up to be a great addition to the final team if she makes it, but so far she has plenty of votes coming from people who wants her to succeed without watching the show in the first place. There are plenty more who were roped in to vote for her from friends/relatives. She has been the hot topic for quite some time because a big group of people wants to see her succeed, because of what they think she represents. The question now is, if she does indeed succeed and debut with the final 11, will they be supporting the group, watching their variety shows, buying the products they endorse? People wants to see her succeed, but will they continue to walk with her AFTER she has succeeded? Another point is, if she's in the debut line up, and Wangju's fans continue to support her, then we will likely be left with a majority of fans who support the other 10 girls and another group who only supports Wangju. Will there even be an OT11? At this point in time, with the voting remaining as 11 pick instead of 1, her chance of debuting is a 50/50. Would have been 100% if it was 1.

I am not sure when it started, but Angela has been attracting a lot of public support. So many topics of netizens asking fans to vote for and save the “港妹†(Hongkong girl). It's not only online, she had the most votes in her stage perf consecutively and that means something. Kimbo's drastic ranking slide throughout the episodes left me not feeling the surprise of her elimination. Tencent's edit didn't gained her more public support, then since she kept having to fly back to Taiwan for visa application and whatever she had to do, she didn't appear much in the twice weekly episode of their dorm life.
