Joon said that Hoseok still needed to mix and master when he heard the tracks... it didn't sound like it was something that happened long ago. Then there's choosing the tracks, MV shooting... they just got some "free" time now, let them rest, it's New Years!! I doubt he had time for something now. Y'all like to be set to the disappointment. Maybe he just passed evaluation and will choose/chose the tracks, MV wasn't filmed, they're in preparation process. It's logic.
^ I already knew this, but somehow I still find myself counting down and worried for 12pm kst. My logic flew out the window when it comes to BTS

This is totally unrelated with BTS, but i just wonder if any army here ever heard —or even like this song? Its Accident by Baby Vox
**i’ll be happy even if only one person reply said she heard this song. Im doing some random throwback on YT
OMG
I know this song lmao because I saw SN*D dancing to it. Such a good song I swear and the lyrics are so dramatic it's like some confrontation scene of a fanfic. This song is like iconic I lowkey want BTS to dance karaoke to it like SN*D did lmao

its okay to feel sad .I understand your view . I was myself waiting for jin to appear and I would have felt same as you if this would have happened to namjoon or yoongi
and we can't really blame her ,this is just like any other fic like how in most of bangtan fics hoseok's role is straight friend that appears once in a while. she did not expect this to blow up like it did and had everything already planned
yes thats one reason im bitter instead of overly super angry. it's like this is the only case where bts 7 members is bad, 1 member gets left out if they dont make it like 2 2 3 or something. and like i cant blame her for not knowing it blew up, but im just sad that of all the ones to blow up it is one where Jin plays a small role when it's a fandomwide thing TTHas this been posted yet? BTS having their own SuperStar game, it's basically a rhythm music game with BTS songs. I discovered a lot of songs through the SuperStar games from the SMTown version and JYPNation ver. I hope this will bring some light to some BTS old songs gems. Like Ma City

You can pre-register for it but I think we crashed the website
You also need a Korean phone number for it, imo I will just wait for Eng and worldwide release and not bother with pre-registration.Also in the SuperStar SMTown and JYPNation ver, they often do events where they will give out CDs and even free tickets to concerts and events depending on what artist it is. It is like a random giveaway style. You complete the songs and event requirement in-game and it's random on whether you might receive that prize. Maybe they will do the same for BTS, if so if you're in Korea it might be a good idea to keep an eye on this game.

You can like gain cards of the artist, and often they have changes in card aesthetic for like different eras. (I'm so gonna get Pink!Jin from WINGS era to max rank

)Example of gameplay:
I kinda wanna make a new thread OP for this if it hasn't been done yet T_T

I'm so happy that whole Outcast AU is over and I didn't join in except to retweet a few funny memes. As usual Jin gets shafted in the whole thing while they just slap on some "oh he has some special role" at the end. I feel like it's BST all over again with him getting only one line and him being the main actor was the justification. Even in a fandom game it's like this. Is it really that fucking hard to give 7 members equal screentime? I guess it is.
If you enjoyed the Outcast AU even if you're a Jin stan, that's great. I'm just someone who tried to and didn't. This is just my opinion so if you enjoyed it, I hope you don't feel bad or anything about my opinion. I will delete this if anyone says they don't wanna see this.
On a positive note, I'm looking forward to hobi's mixtape, I can't wait. If he's really dropping it tonight he must be excited about our reaction and all. Thinking about the boys hyping him up and being enthu makes me feel better. He's put in lots of hardwork, I'm sure it'll show.

I wanna see actor!Hoseok too lol idk if you've seen it but there's a clip of him doing these cheesy lines are on Weekly Idol and he's the only one who didn't make me cringe as much as everyone else. He has really good facial experessions
Yes omg that weekly idol episode of Hoseok is where I feel in love. He looked so good doing it and he was so natural then he was back to his bubbly self omg

I came in here cuz I stumbled across this vid of J-hope in this variety show, I didn't know about it

(Also OT And I see also MYN4ME Sey0ng in it, I was so shocked cuz I just had an interest in him from the current variety show The Unit. Like this is 2 people from different groups I'm interested in appearing together, why didnt I know about this before

How My Mom Became an ARMY
A TRUE STORY
“Falling in love with BTS is serendipitous.â€
I am not sure exactly how it happened, but my mom recently became an ARMY. By recently, I mean literally yesterday.
It all began on New Year’s Day. I decided to re-watch the first season of “Bon Voyage†even though I had already seen it multiple times. My mom walked in on me laughing my head off in my bedroom. I told her that I was watching a reality show featuring BTS. Now, my mom had heard me ramble about the boys for years, and she had heard some of their songs, because I blast my BTS Spotify playlist in the car. However, until that point, my mom had usually refused to watch any BTS content. She humored my endless babbling about the boys, but she was just never interested. I am not sure what changed her mind that day, but she decided to join me. Little did I know that this was only the beginning.
Together, we binge-watched the entire season. At first, she had trouble telling them apart, but she eventually recognized their faces and progressed to labeling them from “1†to “7†from oldest to youngest. Soon enough, she began to learn their actual names and nicknames. My mom told me that she really liked their genuine personalities and how the boys treat each other like family. She also found them naturally hilarious.
The next day, my mom asked me if BTS filmed any other shows. We subsequently launched into “Run BTS!†and “BTS GAYO†marathons. Then, my mom requested live performances. I happily obliged. Over the past few days, my mom and I have watched BTS music videos, dance practices, Bangtan Bombs, their appearances on American and Korean variety shows, etc. When my mom first found out about my BTS obsession several years ago, she was very surprised. She had never expected her tomboyish law-student daughter to like a boy band. Yesterday, my mom told me that she understood exactly why I loved the boys so much. She thinks that they are immensely talented, simply wonderful people, and celebrities actually worth admiring.
My mom also discovered her bias. The only thing I have to say is: “Like mother, like daughter.â€
If this is really true, I swear this is the most heartwarming post of the century

I feel my skin pores being clear, I'm hydrated, my stress levels -50
What a lovely thing to happen \\*~*//

I think it is. LOL the person got confused. But it gives more attention to Coffee so it's okay lol

Interesting that BTS is considered wholesome or clean cut. But isn’t a lot of KPop that way? I wonder if that is part of their appeal to international fans. That they are fun, edgy but not dirty.
Yes, that's what I love too. When we get something sexy, like BST, it's classy and they go all out on the elegant and expensive clothes, it's not dirty or random showing of skin. All the tasteful V-necks

I actually snorted out loud when I heard that omg
I think this is one of the minor fun parts of BTS job, writing their own songs means they can sneak in stuff like this

The US is the largest music industry on the planet by a pretty wide margin. Japan is 2nd. This article would be funny if it wasn't such a slog to get through.
ooh thanks, i always thought the top 3 were america japan and someone else but i never knew. i just googled a wiki list, south korea is 8 while japan and america are 1 and 2 and almost 10 times bigger, no wonder they always wanna break into other industries to debut
yeah this write also uses a lot of unnecessary commas and convoluted sentence structure with all her adjectives. it's just irritating to read

I skimmed, skipped to the conclusion, struggled to decipher the conclusion, then realized it was the same old, same old. I’m partly commenting on it here bc I’m trying to stop myself from being super snarky, esp on r/kpop. Ha.
Anyways, link so no one feels excluded: https://medium.com/m/global-identity?redirectUrl=https://planamag.com/history-lessons-who-said-bts-was-the-next-big-thing-cff587c3b6a6
....I'm already reading the first 2 paragraphs and already so much rubbish
I'm judging so muchthe first part:
"the ceiling through which Girls’ Generation didn’t break because there were too many of them; or Wonder Girls didn’t because they were called the Wonder Girls; or Psy didn’t because if anyone did have lasting potential in the American pop industry, it probably was not a middle-aged overweight Asian man."
..................................i can't believe they reduce kpop not breaking through american market reasons to just having too many members and wonder girls being called wonder girls. what dumb logic is that

"was why each K-pop company so desperately wanted to enter the American industry in the first place ... but probably had more to do with America’s cultural domination of the rest of the world"
....................because it has one of the biggest markets... isn't it like 3rd or something behind Japan??
my head already hurts at all this waffles and meaningless weird half-researched words.okay im reading more and she talks about like the bad side of the kpop industry, etc the sponsors and stress and young trainees... then THIS is the conclusion she draws??
"K-pop’s visual symbols are enough to serve as jarring violations of an American code of political decency. In sum, the K-pop industry seems to be America’s capitalistic nightmare, where life experience is appropriated, human rights are violated, and persona is concocted for one purpose — commodity."

i love when ppl act like american music industry is pure and gud while kpop is a cesspool
also i noticedthat this woman draws her pictures from allkpop and uses Quora as a source

all these people who try to write "reports" on kpop when they just spend 2hr "researching" on allkpop and quora

also i feel bad for judging but she's a student at harvard and she's asian too and she writes this load of waffle?
wow man way to make use of ur identity to not contribute and instead be uselessit's so obvious she just badly researched it and doesn't know what she's talking about, but she just throw in a bunch of "oh the kpop industry is so dark and dangerous" "here are some groups that failed to debut in america" "heres my backstory to make my waffling appear more useful"
I made my eyes and brain suffer reading this, now time to cleanse my eyes and ears by watching RM's vlive and bask in his thoughtfulness

I just spent an hour reading about how BTS are going to start declining in 2018 and how their best days are behind them now on reddit which has resulted in me feeling really crappy ): Can anyone share cute/funny videos of the boys that you've recently seen to cheer me up a bit? Pretty pleaseee
I don't know why alot of people think BTS will start declining in 2018? Not 2018 logically. You need to remember that you need to reach your peak first, stay there for a while and then decline.
BTS debuted in 2013 and only really started climbing to the top fast from 2015. They barely reached it end 2015 and 2016, winning consistent awards in 2016. 2017 was them building momentum to stay on top, and starting to peak. If anything 2018 will be where they ride off that momentum. If they decline I doubt it will be in 2018. It's more likely they will decline in like 2020.
We've seen them building up such a big and stable fandom so far these few years, why is it in 2018 the fandom magically dissipates and they start to decline? People need to give BTS more credit. If anything I'm worried about those people who said that, their rational thinking skills starting to decline should be more important for them.
I hope these throwback videos cheer you up even if you have already seen them
Don't worry about what fools say. r/kpop is just where people try to put illogical reasoning in fancy words to just say they want to hate groups. For just some funny body gag vids:

As we enter the new year and I do some personal reflections, I've come to the conclusions that I deeply envy Bangtan. Not for anything material or anything they were born with but for their bond. I am very envious of the members of Bangtan who have 6 friends who love and care and support them absolutely. I get the Holmes and Watson feel from them except times 7. It's already a minor miracle to have one friend of the "will walk through fire for you" variety, the one who will support and care for you no matter what; but to have 6 is like a major miracle basically impossible. It's one of the reasons I watch their group interactions with awe. To have so many people's love and care is such a gift I can't even truly put it to words.
I'm sorry for the seemingly random sentiment. I do count myself lucky that I have one such a friend, someone who cares about me even if I care about myself not at all, and I love her so much. She's in Japan currently on a vacation with her husband but she still messaged me Happy New Years and tells me she misses me so much and she'll bring me lots of presents when she gets back. I miss her.
I agree. It's really a miracle and I think it really shows and contributes to their group dynamic. They are so comfortable to explore to do what they want to do, because they know they have each other's backs. ETC, Like how the members start to slowly add more of their ideas and venture into the music production side, and they know they can rely on the hyungs who have more experience doing that to back them and help them. -
Episode 19 is just a recap of all the contestants with some backstory and showing the perfs?? Why T_T
EDIT: Okay so Episode 19 and 20 are recapping all the contestants... Looks like they're trying to give each contestant equal time to show off their charms. Albeit briefly and it's just what happened. Ok, I can live with that.
-
Yes it was pre-recorded when they were here for the AMAs.
Okay thankyou

That makes more sense, I was wondering how they managed to get there and perform so fast lol
-
Is the New Year's Eve Rocking performance thing live? It's not right? They were just at the awards. Is it pre-recorded when they were in America for AMAs??
-
Jin as MC was the best ever, I hung onto his every word. I don't know what he's saying but it's so cute

KBS has created a lot of characters here, but full development arguably needs time though.
Still, I was pleased to see them replay the performances and some great excerpts of Unitsmas. Yeoeun's 'We will all die' quote has stuck with me a fair bit.
Yeah I think of course full development will take time. I think they're "setting up" characters quite well.
I was rewatching some episodes, and I realized I do like the slow build up they have.
Example: I didn't really notice of Seyong, but then he hurt his leg, but performed well, then he had that tiff with Euijin and then he played a big part in TWIL stage. It was nice to see his consistent character over episodes. Same with Semmi, I realized she was the one who had the good voice in Give it to Me stage, then in WYM stage we see her leadership and her vocal skills.
I haven't been able to watch their Unit Xmas lives, is it good?
