Any news about a new korean comeback in the fall? Since Baam fell flat on its face, I hope they won't try to recreate BB again and move onto something more hip hop orientated. Maybe even a reggae influenced sound?

Originally sub-units were not included in the inception of this thread as they didn’t have any records! Now I think we should get rid of that rule and include sub units as sub-units are making more of an impact on YouTube!

Hyoyeon is in most of the song. Even during the 2nd verse when the video shows only yoona or yuri, hyoyeon's voice is at the back. I'm wondering now if this was intended as a solo single for her and she asked the company if it could be a sub unit digital single as she's had solo digital singles before but they weren't as successful. Either way, I'm in love with this song and I love Hyocentric camera angles

I think the army should continue with streaming bts on other providers. I hope no one does it out of an obsession because it does take away from pure impact. This applies to all Kpop fans. I just laugh at Jurina's behaviour during the AKB elections. It was something akin to something stereotypical in an anime character. She's bad and cute at the same time. A little like Roger the alien from american dad. She was a character but its totally a shame she couldn't complete. I think at the outset 4 positions were set out for Japanese Idols which would make sense as they were following the Twice Model but it's a shame she couldn't compete in the final.

No that's not literally 'what I've been saying tho' A clear explanation had already been provided by the user to whom you posted the above reply. The reason why I came to my conclusion is because when the new algorithms hit, I was following Momoland's daily view tallies. As soon as the new algorithms hit, every video on the top 400 lost about 30-50% of views for a few days. Momoland's views recovered for a day or two but after the changes they never peaked at the pre-algorithm change level.

I think you've misunderstood me. I'm saying I believe Youtube is targeting every view from certain countries in the way I explained above. It's not about youtube favouring one group over another because they are a corporate entity. I'm saying that the way they discriminate affects certain groups more than others. If you actually read my reply to another blink poster I even said that I actually believe the current daily views for D4 probably exceed 4m views per day but youtube suppress views from SE Asian countries which give the 2m figure that we've seen for the past week. Blink insecurity is rife in this thread.

There are a few pair of friends on this final team, Chaekura Yuri/Yena, Starship duo. After the initial shock, I think I will support this team. I'm not opposed to Wonyoung but I hope that she can handle the pressure, the hate and the praise and rise above it. She was in my top 12 ideal line up. I was so cruel to Kaeun and Miho- I regret it now. Everyone in the top 20 had fans that purely felt that their fav deserved to debut above all others. Having had hyewon make it and Kaeun, Chowon, Miho and Miu falling short is a little disappointing but I will except a lot more from her than her usual clueless terrified look.

I actually think BPs daily views are around 4.5m for D4 if SE Asian views aren't discounted. All views are not the same because all the viewers of the video have differing GDP per capita rates. So if you're coca cola then you're always going to value USA/Japan over Phillippines because a can of Coca cola will be much more expensive in the States than it is in SE Asian countries therefore you're going to argue with Youtube and pay less for an advert shown to a Fillipino viewer as opposed to a viewer in California. It's a basic principle of marketing.

It is sus, their peak in daily viewership collided with their Japanese debut but when it came to promo in countries that are not as rich like Philippines I believe the youtube algorithm reduces a view to 0.1percent of a view. So 10 views from the Philippines is equal to 1 view from the USA or something along those lines. Momoland are currently promoting like hell in USA/PH/Vietnam etc. Your favourites Blackpink have always had more views from USA/Europe and thats why each of those individual views are counted as one single view. This actually collided with you tube attempting to be a streaming service like Apple Music/Spotify. Their strict algorithms came into force just before they started doing that premium nonsense and it hit kpop groups like Momoland really harshly. Don't forget Youtube has to pay royalties on advertising revenue gained from each view. So it makes sense that they reduced the views from low income economies because in terms of GDP per capita, PH and the USA are on different ends of the scale.

I guess I was okay with Lee Haeun making it but there was so much raw talent in that kid but I guess the side to side performance made me uneasy about Wonyoungs age and the potential concepts this group can do. There have been times that I couldn't tell apart Yuri and Chaewon- they look so similar but I recognise that Chaewon is talented. I don't want to hate on a kid like Hyewon but I think she's always going to be attacked unless she has been hiding her raw talent and can pull it out of the bag. Live shows matters and live performances even more so! I hope with Yuri, Nako, Chaeyeon and Eunbi this group will have amazing live performances! In the end it will be lives that really establish a girl group that can last. Look at SNSD/Gfriend and even Twice these days. Live concerts matter because if you can't perform on the stage then you will be seen as fraud.

On Spotify and other free-access platforms, Momoland have pretty much continued their daily/monthly listener numbers stable for the last 4 months. On youtube they crashed out. I'm talking about pre-baam. I think as long as the views come from first-tier western countries like australia,usa,uk etc. Youtube algorithms accept those views but when it comes to lower ranked countries they reduce the views. Unless you actually work for Youtube/Google you cannot deny this as you have no evidence to refute my opinion except just your opinion.
