  1. much like NiziU being a Japanese idol group i consider them more of a C-pop group who promotes heavily in Korea because compared to Super Junior M or EXO-M the overall majority of members are all Chinese natives
  2. idk why i misread this as WandaVision Season 2 begins broadcasting on February 22 lmao
  3. i dont see why not but I really hope SM continues to promote them properly instead of basically just focusing exclusively on solo activities
  4. more surprised to hear Disney is producing an original K drama but then again i assume they also have original kid shows on tv as well
  5. im still rolling my eyes at the parents calling the departed members troublemakers and liars while SONAMOO till this day has had zero promotions
  6. DSP has no right debuting another a boy group after the way they quickly gave up on A-JAX
  7. i started a new job and have been working from home since October but the job is very stressful and demands almost all of my time + with COVID i cant really visit the city as much so ive gained a good amount of weight which is very alarming considering ive remained around the same weight for almost 10 years now after being overweight before. I know a lot of people have gained weight during quarantine but before my job I had gained very little on brighter news ive making good but not crazy bank on the stock market right now
  8. very very surprised BTOB agreed to do this not only because they are missing members but this is coming so close to Illhoon's scandal
  9. i have had this all throughout my life but it definitely pops up only when im really stressed anyway nice to get a selfie from TOP, he'll always remain one of my idol crushes!
  10. im glad im not the only one who finds the utter stupidity in this. You would think the freakin company that sent its prized girl group to the US would get the hint that K-pop was getting bigger and bigger with each year. Literally by the time GOT7 debuted, in Japan alone 2PM was making serious BANK. This is about as stupid as SM thinking their male groups should get a bigger cut of album sales since they think they won't sell that much.
  11. on one hand i get it since these people by no means match the typical beauty standards you typically expect from these survival shows but when you look outside the idol industry some of the most celebrated male vocalists of Korea also do not fit this mold and they still do extremely well with the general public.
  12. at this rate im curious if BIGHIT is going to be accused of being a monopoly. Unlike the Big 3 they seem much more interested in wiggling their way into the business of their competitors one way or another rather than destroying them
  13. at this point YG is in a much better public relations place than they were 2 years ago when everyone was praying for AKMU to get as far away from them and considering they are now one of their few label acts that are still pulling a no.1 hit no doubt YG gave them huge incentives to renew
  14. considering so many songs now will spend months, and months, and MONTHS in the Top 100 this is nice change and it will give more idols an opportunity to chart somewhere on Melon for longer than a few hours
  15. hopefully Cosmic Girls and SF9. Will be interesting how much better NCT performs on the charts this year with a possible no.1 hit
  16. surprised how cocky netizens are about MONSTA X. While they are definitely popular internationally they could definitely use an extra push to get their songs more popular with the general public and digital charts
  17. hmm this is definitely possible though kind of awkward. I think idols should just know their limit but obviously not straight up be contempt with having zero lines in a singing group
  18. IKON are a pretty big deal but there is no question the group could use a little push after how poorly their comeback last year was received,
  19. lets just talk about the elephant in the room and state that this idea would have probably crumbled the second Illhoon's scandal happened not to mention BTOB have had a string of Top 10 hits for four consecutive years on top of being one of the few groups privileged enough to rank on Melon's recent decade chart hence they didnt really need any kind of boost to their popularity
  20. the fact TVXQ as a group is hosting a survival show involving other groups is kinda weird
  21. hmmmm as a massive fan im still not crazy hyped for this game. Call em old school but id rather focus on the classic characters than boring old Ethan and freakin Chris
  22. from my observation being a longtime fan losing a member doesnt hurt a group's popularity except when that group has been around for a very long time and were already wildly successful. Even if the group doesnt immediately feel it eventually creeps up on them by the next comeback
  23. in my industry you have to be very careful since people will just give the boss a slap in the wrist leaving you open to retaliation someday in the future. You really need to think things through and know 100% that people will have your back
