BB Japan 10th Anniversary concerts will be July 30&31 if anyone, like me, is planning on trying to go!!!

Haven't been here in a long time but this used to be my home! I can't not let out the feels about the MADE final concert. Heads up for the tl;dr essay. Hahahahah

 

I was fortunate enough to be able to see Big Bang perform live in multiple countries throughout the years. Witnessed multiple chart-topping comebacks. I was there watching antis come after them over and over and over again, with talks about how they've reached their peak and how they're flopping. I've seen haters come at them with constant attacks about scandals, arrogance, try-hard, swaggy gangster wannabes. Held my breathe at scandal after scandal that would seemingly break the group that is Big Bang. And yet now, at the MADE final tour in Seoul, it's obvious that Big Bang is here, better than ever.

 

The MADE finale marked the end of a legendary era for me. When people were coming at Big Bang with petty, immature and ignorants insults, when netizens were sure that the only place BB could go is down, Kwon Jiyong, Dong Youngbae, Choi Seunghyun, Kang Daesung, and Lee Seunghyun have shown all the haters wrong.

 

We believed they were at the peak of their career with Alive, and they've proven that peaks don't exist for them. Every chance we see them is just another chance for them to go higher than before. Whether it's music, live performances, music videos, or concert tours, there is no stopping Big Bang. And what's amazing is, they're really not even done. At only 20-something years old, they truly have their whole lives ahead of them to make music. I'm scared and excited to see what heights they bring to us next.

 

If you have told me 10 years ago, that I would be in tears from watching a foreign artist perform through the computer, I would have laughed my ass off. And yet, that's exactly what happened. Watching them perform their finale concert of the MADE tour was en extremely bittersweet moment. All their blood, sweat, and tears during their training years. All the hard work and exhaustion, sleepless nights, and constant travels during promotions. It was all worth it! You couldn't help but be in awe at their songs, their live performances, their speeches, the fan chants. It all combined to create a spectacular event that I'm glad I was able to be fortunate enough to be a part of.

 

MADE brought unheard of digital records, unheard of album promotions, and an unheard of world tour. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be NO Korean artist to pull off what Big Bang has done for many years to come, if ever. Haters can take this to be part of the "typical" arrogant, elitist VIP talk, but fuck it. If it's true, it's true. The truth hurts!

 

I consider myself proud to have been a fan since 2007, to be able to witness so many greats in Big Bang's career. It's been 10 years for them. And I'm ready for another 10 years. Thank you for all that you have done. Big Bang is seriously VIPs' everything. Big Bang made VIPs and VIPs made Big Bang.

I have a question, do any of the members actually need glasses or is it just for fashion? I can never be sure since at least one of GD/TOP/Tae will always be wearing sunglasses lmao. I'm sure if they did have sight problems they can probably afford laser eye surgery anyway lol

I don't know about the other members. But YB got surgery on his eyes, like Lasik, to correct his vision. After that, bright lights affect him and cause him discomfort.

No surprise at BB renewing their contracts. YGE would have had to fuck their contracts over majorly bad for BB not to re-sign.

 

 

 

 

I predict them winning Song of the Year and Artist of the Year, regardless of if they attend MAMAs or not. The BB slayage was just too real for it not to happen. As much as Mnet and MAMA would have to try and divide the awards up between the other major acts/companies.

 

But who knows. Let's see how blatantly obvious Mnet/MAMA is with their bullshit this year. (The award nominations are already starting off badly). Can't wait for the knetz reactions and drama to the winners. ESPECIALLY if BB don't win Artist of the Year.

OMG yessssssss at your song choices. Dope and INU since it's their most recent hits and what brought them a lot of new fans. And Tomorrow since it's one of their best songs out of their discography.             

Yeah no offence to anyone here and by all means go ahead and vote but seriously imo MAMA awards are all a big joke, I sincerely believe they just see who turns up and make sure everybodys gets a few awards to share around just keep all the fans happy even if they make up some random award on the spot and the voting is just to generate clicks and web traffic

 

Remember in 2012 when BB got the guardian angel or some crap award, like what does that even meaaan? and I could on about other countless examples in the past years but I won't bother, I'll just say it's no coincidence that the best international artist awards are always given to the special guest that night regardless of weather they had the biggest hits or not

Nah. Initially upon release, LOSER had the upper hand, but it's obvious BBB is more publicly known/liked and has had more impact. Loser is obviously the actual better song, but you can't resist BBB's catchiness.

Why the fuck are Leo-Ravi's Beautiful Liar and P.O.-B-Bomb-U-Kwon's Conduct Zero nominated??? They are awesome songs and a couple of the best releases of the year but they are not fucking collaborations. And why is Zutter not nominated if those two are going by MAMA's logic of collabs? GD-T.O.P. collaborated too in the form of Zutter then. SO why the hell is it not nominated??

 

What Zico and Sojin did for the Mask OST was a goddamn collab. What Crush did with Zico in the beauty of Oasis was a fucking collaboration. That Dark Panda was a collab!

I wouldn't be a fan of BBB winning Best Dance Performance, especiallet if you compare it to the other nominations. As a performance, and performers, then yes, I could totally see BB winning it no problem. But as a "dance" performance? It just isn't on the same level as the other nominees.

 

 

 

 

I also don't get the nomination for Bae Bae for Best MV. I mean, of all the BB mvs this year, you choose Bae Bae? Cmon now........

So happy and excited and proud of BTS being nominated for Best Male Group for MAMA. I doubt they're going to win since they're up against some legendary walls. But the fact that they're even nominated makes me happy! They're come sooooooo far this year! Their hard work is definitely paying off.

 

Sad at them not getting nominated for Best Dance Performance though. I mean, how can you not appreciate Dope and its choreography and its stages? Like wtf.

Even before nominations came out, this is the one category I figured they had a really high chance of winning!

I don't know how I feel about Bang Bang Bang getting nominated. As a dance? Hell nah. But as a performance, then yeah. But then again, seeing Big Bang nominated for any dance award makes me scratch my head.
