Me too, but apparently jp people/fans don't like his hair styled up... I think the kind of hair he had in fns would be a safe option. he really outdid himself last year. I'm sort of hoping for a different choreographer. so that in his early stage of his career he can find out what works best for him, expand his connections etc ^^;; You're right about his hair. Never thought it that way but that makes sense:o

I came here to talk about concepts and....:o I'm pretty amazed that he'd dye his hair for his jp cb, he'd already done that for DxDxD but generally speaking drastic hairstyle change isn't a thing for jp comebacks..... Edit: Btw some of you mentioned not liking Taemin's JAT hairstyle, but according to what I've read, the members themselves seem to have a lot of leeway in choosing their hairstyles (general hair cut choices to choosing the styling for each day of the concert). If he wanted to style his hair up like he did for last year's tour, he could've done so.

Dark rock sounds nice! I think that's a style jp production team would be able to pull off. Not sure about cutesy pop, but I want him to avoid any sort of cutesy concepts for long as he can^^;: I don't think catering to the general public will be a priority of theirs, or at least that didn't seem to be the case with sayohito (or their initial title track choice). I haven't really gave it a thought myself. But I think the sort of style pursued by Miura Daichi is nice, esp his MV. They're not anything elaborate, and the few I've seen are pretty much a performance video by kpop standards but simplicity is what makes these work. This is a perf video he did with koharu. but that's also its downside. It lacks a concept... I think a good choreo could make up for it though. I just want them to do something they'd be good at rather than trying to replicate what taemin's done in kr:)

That's true~ There's not much stress with jp comebacks. The only downside is that they seldom go on music shows but we're getting a concert this time around:) hoping for a lot fancams. The dome concerts could potentially be in 2018..considering what was written in some kind of financial statement (idk what that was) about how they'll have their biggest concert/tour to date in 2018 before onew's en listment... Maybe you're talking about the SWC V? They didn't hold a general public lottery for that one and sold standing tickets and limited-view seat tickets. If a kr cb in may is impossible, maybe his performance at dream concert can act as a an early teaser for his solo cb post his jp concert, like 2011 gayo was for SHINee's korean cb. Even shinee had a a hard time with their tokyo dome stop last year and had to spread out the seats in the arena. Shudder in a bad way or good? Usually Japan announces their stuff early when they hold events but there's no news as of now, and his magazine cuts are coming out in June....which is in like a few days. His time in jp could really have been for just Moschino but who knows.

In one of the radio shows/interviews, when he was asked which was more difficult of the two, Danger and PYN, to perform (I think they were talking about the dance/performing in general, not the singing by itself, but it could have been the singing) he answered Danger. Also if you look at clips of Taemin working with Ian from either Mnet4things or the dance practice ver of Danger, you can see that Ian made changes from the original choreo. There's a part where he was supposed to kneel on one knee with the other leg extended (the part before danger~ oneulpame(?)x4) but after the change only the back up dancers do it. 0:19 here you can see the choreo before the change 0:57 Then you have him in the revised version where he remains standing while the back up dancers go on their knees It could have been Taemin, the performance director or Ian who suggested the change. ---- There's also the kicking back with one leg move at the end of Danger that he no longer does. I think Danger was and still is the more difficult song to perform live (maybe besides Ace since he's yet to perform it live^^). He doesn't sing the full song with PYN or drip drop, but he's figured out how to balance the dance and the singing by omitting parts that he didn't think was necessary (not just in singing but also dancing). +Also, based on the few covers I've seen people seem to have an easier time covering PYN than Danger. But I'm not sure since I don't dance. But at the same time I sort of agree with mdr since Danger lacked impact compared to PYN or Drip Drop. I tend to enjoy Ians choreos after a while though. I didn't like view choreo at first but I enjoy watching them dance to it now.

But that would also depend on whether Formicetti acts 'Japanese' or not. Also there's the fact that Taemin (and the rest of SHINee) are probably used to building relationships with people much older than them since they started out so young.

Do you think his theatrical costume design for his dome solo stage was to match the new arrangement of the song, or does his new outfit share similarities with what he wore during his solo promotions/PYN MV (besides the belt thing he wears)? We have that outfit in the 2nd dance version of PYN, but I still think they're different? - I'm actually not a big fan of the outfit itself, it looks nice in motion thought. It also makes me wonder if that is the direction they're taking in terms of fashion for his Japanese promotions. idk how to feel about it yet. I don't think 38 is old. I'd imagine a lot actors are in their mid-30s, some older and there's Onho who probably have close relationships with a number of them. I guess what makes it sound off in a way is that he refers to him as a 'friend', even though the designer is much older. But they're from different industries so it wouldn't make as much sense for Taemin to refer to him as a senior. Also, at least based on what he said in the interview, they don't sound close. He might be interested in him simply as a designer (though he says otherwise in the interview, but I assumed he said it out of formality), and/or thought that it would be beneficial for him to extend his connection. Having a meal together could be a starting place. ...Maybe introvert was not a good word choice? I used to discuss with people on here about his lack of connections (proved wrong here) outside of his idol group of friends, that might hinder him from having more creative control over his solo works. I thought this interview (thought only a portion of it) gave us new insights about him. Q. Is there a style of performance you would like to try? I was going to post this. I'm guessing this is from when he went to LA in september (or was it october?). He might have gone just to practice but I wonder Brian Puspos posting this now, after his comeback and all means that he choreographed something for one of Press It's songs that he's yet to perform? Or maybe not since they probably didn't have any of the album songs ready that early.... If it was a personal schedule I wonder how Taemin got to know Brian Puspos? he seems to be pretty well known? Now that you say it he probably was looking for songs on his own before SM started preparing for his cb formally. Idk how much of his opinions went through but Taemin did emphasize in was it bn? that unlike with SHINee where they have songs prepared for them (and I'm guessing SHINee chooses the songs they like out of the given songs), he chose the songs himself. I see. I guess we'll see how his sales go this week. Ace sales plummeted in the second week^^;;
