Yeah I agreed, the Hotshot guys are amazing. I'm just not sure if Mnet wants any debuted idols in olo at all. They also don't have the fandom advantage that Nu'est has. Nu'est can succeed even if they have Mnet against them because they have popularity and JR and Minhyun are gaining new fans now. But for the Hotshot boys the cover performances are gonna either gonna make or break them

I feel like those that are at higher risk of getting evil edited are just Haknyeon and Sungwoon depending on whether Mnet wants them in the group or not

I can't wait for Friday to come omigosh but we still don't have the complete subs for ep2 right? That means we'll get to see ep3 before truly knowing what went down in ep2. I am anticipating the boy in lurvenges team. So much drama to be found there, but is it just me or having the BIL team be a literal repeat of INTW in S1 be a bit too boring and predictable for Mnet? If anything I think they'll edit the Avengers to be like the Bang Bang team last season. The popular trainees that managed to delivered on the hype. That's was I got the feeling for anyway. Mnet seems dead set on Sam and Daehwi being in the final 11 so I doubt they'll evil edit them, AND they're up against Baekho, who Mnet lowkey dislikes. So yeah, just my two cents

Honestly I think they have a chance to build equally dedicated fanbase, in terms of public recognisation it's a bit iffy. Xnine already seems to have quite the dedicated fandom, they churn out a lot of live streams so fans have plenty of content to fangirl over. Tf boys also got popular off utilising social media so they're def on the right path. I think having less members is also one of their main advantage. Just an observation of course, but the successful groups in Chinese entertainment like tf boys, and she all have just 3 members. Or else they're a traditional band where only the lead singer is known. Xnine also doesn't have a center member the way Tf have Junkai. Someone that even nonfans will recognise and know the name of. Anyway that's just what I think. The way I see it it doesn't matter which group is more successful. Both are cpop boy groups that will hopefully help to advance China's pop music industry. Props to Tf ent tho for creating a successfully boy group even tho they're a small company. Ps. Oh haha guess I missed that post. I hope they had a better dance this time, I slightly disappointed by the dancing in Our Own Name, they were out of sync and the formations look juvenile. They have three amazing dancers in Zexi, Guang guang and Zifan! Give them the choreo to let them shine!

Currently this line up has no Korean member. There was originally one Korean, Park Yongju a previous SM trainee and one of the more popular ones on the shows. But in the end he didn't end up debuting. None of the other Korean members won the show. So now SWIN is made up of all Chinese members. But I'm curious what do you mean end up like Tanas? Did his group treated him badly?

Oh wow thanks so much for typing this all out. Their debut process sounds super messy tho. Why are Chinese survival shows usually like that? I followed Xnine's survival too and it had the same problems, those who won weren't those who necessarily got to debut. Oh poor Yongju. He was an ex SM trainee too right? Must be been crushing to be able to finally debut but then had the opportunity taken away. I wondered if they forced him out of the group or did he voluntarily leave. I've lurk around on the show's thread before and I've saw that he wasn't on good terms with ShuChen? Even tho they were like total bffs before. Did they made up by the end of the show? It's really a shame he wasn't in SWIN. And he was like the best vocalist on the show too! Think of the vocal slayage if he was there![emoji7] Even I'm sure Pinlin and Genyin are more than enough to do all the heavy vocal lifting.

Can anyone give me a brief rundown on how this group was formed? I know there's a survival show and some of the winners ended up not debuting? Like what even? But anyway I've kinda started to like these boys and will like to get to know them better but I currently don't have the time to watch their predebut survival so a general primer would be wonderful.
