  1. Hi! Question for you: I'm seeing the concert in NYC tomorrow and might have to leave a little early to catch the train home. I really like "Star Train" but is there anything special about the encore worth staying for? Or do they just stand there and sing it. Cuz if I miss the train I'll be stuck in the city all night, but if it's a really cool staging then maybe it's worth the risk haha

Actually, do you remember how long the concert was? Like two hours? And did they start on time?

Sorry I saw this late, but glad you were able to stay for Star Train. I'm excited to see what you have to say about the concert!

Wow they noticed you, lucky indeed! Glad you had fun.

Nice, how lucky of you   :rlytearpls:

You're so lucky! One of my dreams in life is seeing Perfume live. I want to watch their concert at least once before i die :'/

    Thanks you all : 3

I feel like my life is complete in a way lol!

  2. I flew from Colorado and went to the San Francisco show Sunday night and damn that was one of the best nights of my life.
Met new friends waiting in line (got there 7 hours before doors opened) and in the convert venue. Also the Japanese PTA fans next to me were awesome, I ended up dancing and shouting with them haha.

I waved at Nocchi during the talk and she noticed me and bowed her head back to me which made my life. A-chan smiled and waved at me during a song as well which made me really happy. After the concert, I was talking with a J-PTA fan and he said it was so cool how A-Chan noticed me which made me even happier.

I could write an essay on the concert but I don't want to spoil anything for my fellow New York bros/sis, but holy shit, San Francisco turned up and Perfume rocked the stage as always. Anyone else here go to the San Francisco venue?

The only pic I took inside the venue, I was too busy living in the moment to take any others.

  3. For me :

Complete best : 5/10 (not really a fan of 8 bit music style they have back then)

GAME : 8/10 (classic Perfume, this album really shows Perfume's unique color)

Triangle : 9/10 (my all time favourite. I like all the songs on the album which is rare for me)

JPN : 7/10 (a-sides are amazing, the rest are okay. At first it's a bit let down because this album is so much softer than triangle but i have make peace with it.)

Level 3 : 8/10 (It has a good balance between soft and hardcore Perfume, some of the songs is not doing much for me but overall i love this album)

Cosmic Explorer : 6/10 (Some of the album mix are great but the flow is confusing seeing how the a-sides are really kinda a hit and miss. Cling Cling album mix is horrible)

Haha yeah, I noticed with almost all Perfume fans, Complete Best is a hit or miss, they either love it or dislike it.

Triangle is something we can both agree on, and share the same opinion. (I just wish they added in 23:30 to Trinagle, it would of fit right in)

  4. yeah i agree. The later half sounds somewhat lacking, but i still love some sound samples. The only song i truly can't stand in the later half is 'Pick me up'. That's also the first Perfume song that i was presented to before, so it kept me from checking their other stuffs for a long time

about the K-lastest releases thing, just try Twice, Seventeen and BTS' new songs, and you'll understand what i mean. While BTS' new album songs are good, their new title track Fire gave me cancer

btw, to ppl who still visit Perfume thread, which ones r your best Perfume songs? Could you rate their LPs on a scale of 0 to10? I'm  curious after some ppl told me that even Perfume fans r not fond of Cosmic Explorer album

Thanks, I'll give those those k-releases a listen, I'll start with the girl groups since I'm not really into boy groups.

My top 5 songs:  (I could go top 20 but I don't want to post a wall of text)

    1. Polyrhythm

    2. 23:30

    3. Love the World

    4. Electro World

    5. wonder2

    Albums:

Complete Best - 8/10 (yung perfume, whats not to love)

GAME - 10/10 (one of my favorite albums of all time, across all genres of music)

Triangle - 9/10 (soild, the album that flows the best)

JPN - 5/10 (the singles are great from the JPN era but as an album it is hard to listen through)

Level 3 - 6/10 (the album-mixes of Spring of Life and Magic of Love kill me)

Cosmic Explorer - 6 or 7/10 (still a little early for me to decide)

I'm interested to see other's opinions as well.

  5. tbvh i don't think Perfume last album is that bad. Compare to the lastest releases i've crossed in Kpop, the album sounds like heaven to me

I'll be more clear, the first half of Cosmic Explorer is great, the second half is unlistenable.

I'm talking Nakata and all of his projects not just Perfume, as of the past one or two years.

I do agree with your last statement as a whole, Perfume's albums are of better quality than most (and I say most not all) K-pop albums, but I haven't followed Kpop since last year so I'm not sure whats going on with the latest releases.

  6. So far I really like I Still Love U and Nee. but I like the others as well

Nee and Natural ni Koishite are some of best for sure, the two that are tied with Natural Beauty Basic or whatever.

I am still waiting for the full version of Display...

  7. Happy 100 Pages! The HD MV's on Perfume's official channel are great. Now I don't have to watch Magic of Love with shitty speed! I have been binge watching perfume MV's ever since this update.

  8. Toumei Ningen is AMAZING!

TOUMEI NINGEN IS SUCH A BOP WTF I'VE BEEN JAMMING FOR DAYS

Y E S U. I love the intense break downs in the song.

Oh, and referring back to your other post, I hope they come back to the US too!

Considering how well the two concerts went though, I say it's very possible that they'll come again.

I hope you are right! Perfume needs to know that they have plenty of North Americans thirsty for them.

  9. 10 years of Perfume (since their major debut)

    Long ass post incoming.

    TLDR: 2008 > 2007 > 2012 > 2009 = 2006 > 2013 > 2011 > 2010 > 2014 > 2005

    Long ass post:

2008: blessed us with Game. Chocolate Disco, Macaroni, and Secret Secret. Unbeatable. No competition. I also kind of like Plastic Smile. (Plus the Love the World MV, although that song is in Triangle)

2007: shot Perfume to fame with Polyrhythm, one of their best songs by far. Chocolate Disco once again.

2012: I am a 2012 fag because of the Spring of Life, Spending all My time and Fake It MVs'. Plus the Love the World compilation album. That shit has almost all my favorite songs on one CD.

2009: Wan Rumu Disuko Dusuko~ Based Trinagle album. Shit goes hard. Love the World (one of Nakata's best songs), Edge and Night Flight. Did I forget to mention One Room Disco?

2006: The reason I tied 2006 with 2009 was because of two songs: Electro World & Perfect Star Perfect Style. I literally go crazy to Electro World and Perfect Star Perfect Style gets me emotional for some reason and I didn't even know of this group way back then. I guess it's the melody and lyrics. I even avoid that song sometimes to prevent from getting emotional.

2013: Level 3. Party Maker, Spring of Life, Enter the Sphere, and Daijobanai. Hell yes. 1mm and some of the other tracks are kind of boring though :/. I am also a huge advocate for dinosaur Nocchi in Magic of Love. Also Sweet Refrain WASN'T THAT BAD. IT'S A GREAT WINTER SEASON SONG LIKE NEE.

2011: Laser Beam MV = amazing. Also I am not that big of a JPN fan but at the same time the album wasn't too bad. I am one of the few people who perfers Level 3 over JPN. I do have a soft spot for My Color and Nee though. I have to listen to Voice while watching the Music Video for me to fully enjoy it for some reason.

2010: Some good quality MV's, thats for sure. Although I never really got into Natural ni Koishite.

2014: I dislike Cling Cling. The good thing though is Perfume came to the United States. I didn't get to go to the LA venue as I was planning to because of unfortunate family events that happened. I have to put my Fam > Perfume.

2005: Lol. I guess the good thing is that it was their major deubt.

    AND FINALLY.

2015: I did not put in my ranking because we are only a third through the year. I personally think it's not so bad so far. Pick Me Up and Relax in the City are not that bad as some fans say. The MV's are great. I personally prefer Relax in the City more than Pick Me Up, but both shit on Cling Cling lol. I REALLY hope Perfume is planning on coming back to the US this year so I can catch them live this time around. That is my biggest wish.

  10. Seeking refuge as the EXO fandom goes batshit crazy

We're all delusional here tbh  :rlytearpls:

I want then to make some. I'd stay up all night for an update tbh

(I want clips of Achan singing when she makes one too)  :rlytearpls:  :rlytearpls:  :rlytearpls:

    I understand

Thats good! This is one of the few threads where I don't give a shit if I am delusional.

We need more of AChan's voice. I love her voice when she sings songs like My Color and Kokoro No Sports at concerts.

she is the only one who can sing in pafumu anyways

  11. they NEED to make instagram accounts!!

I don't even know how long I have been waiting for the three to make IG accounts. Like I swear I made an instagram account in anticipation of them creating one. I am awfully delusional.
