  2. Wow, you're just blowing my mind with all this info, like whoa xD I feel like you're really on point with all of this. I agree with him being in the industry even after Seventeen ends in the future. He'll move up to being a producer/composer for sure. These years in Seventeen will be training for that. I am really interested to see their next album and how much he improves (though he's already doing really good). My opinions will never be as in depth as yours, but I really do enjoy reading them ^^

    And no problem!

PS: you should do one for every member xD

No! I can't  I can only do so to members that I'm really drawn to. The odd things is the out of all the members of the group, he's the one I can see myself experiencing the biggest conflict with. Strange, right?

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm sure that if you didn't have an outlet and things piled u for weeks over in your head, you'd probably come out with deeper opinions.

  3. Exactly. Because of his small stature and cute appearance it just automatically dubs him as cute/innocent. But if you look closer he has a very mature and wise aura to him, and yeah I can sense that fiery temper as well. I'll be honest, I call him cute more times than not, but he obviously is more than just a cute face. If I had an ounce of his talent at that age, I feel so lazy when I see all he's accomplished and what he'll continue to do. He's definitely a big asset to the group! Btw I really love your insight on the members, keep it coming! xD

My 'insights' are just options that have been bottled up for some time and finally being released - so I'm sorry to all for the bulk text

Just keep in mind that being a trainee requires a lot of sacrifice. If any of us were to enrol onto a system where we'd be intensely trained performance skills on an almost daily basis then were bound to succeed in, at least, one speciality. Debuting or not is another worry, especially since training costs so much.

Woozi hasn't done anything unique or outstanding; he's been working on the album for a long time - going back and forth on the materials until perfecting it. He won't have that lengthy virtue after debut. It's the next album that will be interesting. He's definitely set himself to be big asset to the company. I see him being in the entertainment industry for a long time. He's not just got determination for success, but also greed. He hasn't even been producing for 2-years, and is now in a place where he plays a direct role in co-ordinating the group's success. There's more reward in that than in being leader, and he gets it. He's calculative, analytic, creative, opinionated, assertive, proud, reliable, impatient, temperamental and audacious - the qualities I associate with the young Minwoo (from Shinhwa). Maturity and wisdom will come with time. Potential is already there.

Off-topic: Thanks for the add :)

I don't think the company is deliberately targeting him...I think they are purposefully being a bit harsh in the hopes of getting a rise out of someone. DK is sensitive so he's one of the more reactive ones.

You're right. It's all done with purposes.

    LOL

Dino's love for MJ is always on critical level that no one, not even his hyungs, know what to do.... other than laugh... which is better than crying...

  4. I agree! I was so heartbroken for him when he cried during that episode! Honestly he stood out the most to me during their debut.

I despise it when companies resort to creating stressful situations only to then play the sympathy card. Cheap game. Fan support shouldn't be given because he cried nor should it intensify because of it. They foolishly undermine DK in multiple ways. Sometimes it feels like they will only acknowledge particular 'it' packages - and like I was getting at earlier - he's not that, but he's a brilliant talent worth being cherished.

DK got my attention from the moment he began singing. Actually, he growled at 0:28 which made me sit up, and then when 0:35-0:38 happened... he won me. That's all it took.

    How about you?

I'm really impressed that this song successfully presents every individual's strong point of a group consisting of over a dozen members. There's three different sounds are going on for that to happen. The transitioning is so smooth that it flows nicely and the overall balance is fantastic. It's a very tight piece of work and too well controlled for rookie standards. Did I forget to mention it's self-made? Their future looks promising already.

No no, I totally agreed with you. Plus its great to have people come in and really speak their mind, don't hold back and welcome to the fandom!

Thanks for the welcome. Woozi is adorable in those pictures, but I don't think he fools anyone by acting innocent. He's got 'mischief' written all over him and reminds me of a very young Minwoo (from Shinhwa). At his age, to be this resourceful and clever at the job is impressive, but he's also too hard to himself so I expect a fiery temperament in there (not a bad thing in my books). He's an interesting character.

  5. I need to release so please do excuse me...

The member I am most drawn to is DK (not in a sexual way). He's got a raw voice with beautiful funky soul in it. It adds a new layer to 'Adore U' and caught my attention instantly. I adore the vocal combination he has with SeungKwan. If you look at them singularly, both are very capable of carrying any song forward with their voices and both do so in their own ways. The distinction and the way their voices intertwine with one other is superb. For me, that is the strongest performance aspect of the group.

I'm more interested in DK though. To me, he would be the most exciting one to work with. SeungKwan has that classic tone that is heard in kpop time and time again, but not DK's - so that makes it more playful and adventurous. His voice can cross over to other genres that are not usually done in k-pop; Blues and Jazz would suit him well. I'm not sure how that would work in the group, or the vocal unit of the group, but this boy has a lot of potential.
My only problem is his self-destructive mission towards perfectionism. He beat himself up too much. It's what happens when you put someone down time and time again. Contrary to popular belief, sensitivity is not a bad thing. It's because he is sensitive that he can bring so much emotion and soul to the music. However, there have been episodes aired on TV showing him being lowered. He's been told that he doesn't stand out in the MV and that his singing is not good enough (which is utter shite if you ask me).

If that wasn't enough to piss me off, the boy is literally egged on to respond more immediately after being deliberately wounded for the sake of increasing airing views. There should be more consideration of the personal experiences of all members, and the naivety of DK (may God bless his soul) is that he believes what he is told by the Seniors who hurt him. The company plays a huge role in amplifying his vulnerabilities. I want to see things managed more appropriately.
DK is one heck of a character. You could even see it before his debut that he's made for reality shows, but I don't want to see all the fun when inside is a person who is increasingly weakened. I would find this worrying if it continues after their debut. The difficulties in transitioning from trainee to 'idol' does make young stars vulnerable, especially vocalists; they play the crucial job delivering the songs that requires them to open up emotionally to so many (mostly strangers to them) and express themselves in the most direct way possible. I want him to be better supported.
Obviously, every other member would have experienced scrutiny and disappointment of their own performances, but none of them have taken matters on so hard like DK has.

Summary: Do not fuck with the precious DK or I will come after you

  6. Your amount of knowledge always gets me  Before I only used to listen to Khaleeji and Classical but Saad got me into Maghred. He also has some other catchy songs

It's not knowledge. I just happen to have been exposed to the Arabic culture. I grew up listening to Samira Said, Cheb Khaled and Rachid Taha. I was also very fond of Thekra but she sadly passed away too soon.
To me, Maghreb music is the most unique, vibrant and diverse. Khaleeji music... nowhere close. It only became likeable to me because of Myriam Fares

I'm impressed with the rate of growth Saad made in such a short period of time; the music productions are so neat now. The 2nd video is epic!

he has the best voice iv'e heard for an arabic singer
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyGI8TrrXx8

By default, this guy already won a part of me because I have a soft spot for Maghreb dialect, but I didn't enjoy his debut when it came out. I didn't listen to him again until a few minutes ago and I'm surprised. This is excellent and so well done. I wouldn't consider him a great singer, but I can see myself replaying this heavily.
    Thanks for sharing.

  8. The great thing is I got my sister into E-Girls

The bad thing is I got her into E-Girls

She loves them to much that it drives me crazy. Here in the UK, we're [unsurprisingly] excluded from LDH-tracks so I would appreciate it if any of you could be kind enough to help me get hold of some songs because I'm failing miserably, and she won't stop hassling me. Feel free to drop me a PM.

    Thanks in advance.

My parents deserve a better daughter. They're like the best parents in the world, as persons and as parents, but I'm not worthy of their affection, I'm like the worst child parents will ever have. They deserve a daughter who is prettier, smarter, with a better personality. Not me.

No one can be "the best" at anything without failing and hurting, so even your parents have had their lows. Lows that you would not believe that they deserved to go through, but they had to to be the people they are today.... so why would it apply differently for you?
