  1. Problems are what you have when you refuse to take the solutions, so why are you complaining?

Neither do I, but he seems reasonable, frank and, easy-going. Thank you, but I barely see you around.
  3. Doesn't it get hard trying to be someone you are not? It's unfortunate how you opt for a lame way to feel self-worth. Is there even genuine satisfaction out of it all, or is it short-lived that repeating the same practice is a necessary routine? I pity you.
  4. You're awkward too? Well, that makes two! / haha I honestly would not be complaining if that blog was not heading in full-speed because there's not much that goes on in the LDH-tag anyway.... I mean, even world pollution is a contamination that grows slowly. Thanks. It's bizarre over there. What's next? "I want to put Hiro's toes up my nostrils". Things kids do for likes and reblogs these days.... Guys, I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to have to log off. It was nice talking to you all.
  5. I was ready to stand aside and be looked at as a Weirdo for the way I feel about it all. It's nice to see that there are others such as yourself who can relate. Thank you.
  6. ^ Thanks Well, I had an interesting exchange of words with the Owner a few hours ago... to say the least. I'm rather dull in comparison to you. You're actually one of the main users who helps bring the LDH-acts to the attention of international fans so I feel like no words are needed to explain. I thought you actually forgot my url / hahaNo worries
  7. Thank you for your kind words. Not going to lie, reading the "so happy LDH has fans like you" made me think of the Nutter running that cringe-worthy ldh-dirtyconfession blog over on Tumblr. It's fair to say that the fanbase comes in different colours, and you are one of those whose input is appreciated. The link is not to my blog, but to the original source. I barely ever do so primarily because my blog is a mess. I also never post pictures of myself online. I don't put trust in the unpredictable. It's one of those things that once you put it out there, you have no control whatsoever as to where else it can go..... but that girl, not sure of her name, is very pretty.
  8. Thank you for reading. You probably wouldn't have been able to if I shared a picture of how much of an ugly sobber I am.
  9. This thread is moving like normal, but I can't...... Feel free to ignore this, but just understand that I need to vent
  10. ^ Congratulations! Hiding in the University Mail for weeks?! Good thing it finally got to you / haha "Great minds think alike" I agree with your opinion.Despite the lack of input, it's the vocal tone that sets my preferences. It took me a while to get used to YiXing's actually, which was, and still is, hard for me to criticize because, as much as it is a hush-topic, the operation changed a lot for him. For all the challenges and difficulties that he has had to endure, I cannot help but be in content with the simple fact that he can still sing. Just setting foot in this industry is an immense personal achievement that cannot be parralled with many "idols". That determination is respected more by his own personal investment in branching out into other aspects of music; composition and playing instruments. Behind that tender appearance is a man very serious about success, and that is undisputed. I'm glad that you posted those videos about XiuMin because he's a gem that is waiting to be reckoned. Even though it's best to start under-rated, when you have an awardthat recognizes you as a high-potential, then the standard was set high before debut. I wish SME can get things right with him sooner than later. I believe that the main reason as to why XiuMin cannot take LuHan's position is more than just language boundaries. SME would have taken more time to invest in that had it felt it was neccessary for the entire group, except the Chinese-marketed group would not be received well by the Chinese public if it was vocally led by Koreans. Chen adds texture to the group in ways that no EXO-M member can so it's understandable why SME took preference to him, and pushed him to the very front. Clearly, tackling the language boundaries with him would be more important than it is with XiuMin, and luckily he is a fast-learner. However, all that is no excuse to have this level of off-balance in the vocal-line. It's easier said than done because of the formation of the group, yet it is a very unfair set-back to be witnessing. Really? I've never conversed with Onion before.... How odd. Pass on my regards the next time you two talk. Those words will be reversed the moment you see the other side of me / haha To an extent, I can sadly agree with this. I think he's hesitant not out of self-belief, but out of confidence of how SME allows him to be presented. Out of all the members, I feel like he is the one who is most comfortable in his own skin, but when it comes to showtime, things differ. He's patient, and well aware that he can do better. He hangs on in there for his Dongsangs as well. It's quite amazing how he hasn't shown any signs of frustration yet.Honestly, XiuMin can be a very good in singing as well as dancing. His technicalities at some points are better than YiXing's, but he just lacks that spark and ends up being overshadowed. The one thing that I am glad the most for in the "Wolf" promotional cycle, is that he shone more than before. He's slowly getting there. The best part is that given the time, practice and the opportunity, we will reach a point where he will be more involved in EXO's album. The same can be said about ChanYeol. LOL... but really though, I'd rather have a magazine that has pages of words to get the mind thinking than too many pages of pictures. "The Magic Power of Sleep" would be very interesting, and relevant to this thread of course / haha

To be honest, I feel kind of ashamed that I found out a little "too late". By the tie I got round to your thread so many had posted excellent comments for you that they left me with nothing to add. There was a time when I thought he worked in the music industry, then I saw his tumblr and questioned if he worked in fashion. From Hallyu8 up to this day, I cannot think of anyone who is so engrossed and very knowledgeable of his/her interests. I appreciate a person who is willing to share that, but sometimes there's that elitist air about him that doesn't make him seem approachable. There's a XingMi whose dedication deserves a special shout-out: Ayaewyn - Genuine - Passionate - Friendly - Enthusiastic - Adorable - Without her the Lay-Thread would be dead. No exaggeration - she is the only main engine there. It's great that she posts updates as well as engage in actual conversations. I don't usually get drawn to individual threads because I find them to either consist of too many pictures-only posts or have casual-chats about all sorts. That thread is shaping up so nicely. I'm really grateful to have her around. Another shout-out goes to ChunFace
  12. Sadomasochism This is really not supposed to be about your distracting dp
  13. For some odd reason, YiXing didn't seem like he was acting at all in the "Traffic Safety Song" / haha You figured that out? I haven't been out in crazy cap-locks fangirl mode yet! / ahahaha Let us just hope that YiXing, and XiuMin, get more singing lines. To be honest, I feel frustrated for XiuMin because he's already won 2nd place in SME's singing competition, whereas YiXing has had the chance to present himself as a promising singer to be acknowledged to high standards, so it's got that surprising element. Sounds silly, but whenever people praise his singing I cannot help but smile. She must be "very very very very very happy!" x 100,000 [ x ] LOL / I grew up following fashion, but stopped buying fashion magazines months ago. I'd rather search online and check things out for myself than have the "trend" shoved in my face as a "must" to stay "in". In general though, I do enjoy editorials more than reports or interviews. I have a particular soft spot for couture purely for the crazy extravagance of it.

    The Rant Thread

Today, I came across a White Pensioner who claimed that the only way to rescue the Black children in Africa is by sterilizing all Black Parents. Words fail to describe the anger than consumed me.
  15. Minimum of 2-3hrs sleep. At times when I have too much work, my body cannot rest for more than 4hrs. As long as I can get a "power nap" some time later on in the day, which never exceeds 30mins, then I can last through the long day. I only feel bad when I try to get back to sleep despite knowing very well that I have so much to do. The body can't rest if the mind can't. I barely visit this thread these days weeks, but I must say that you are a nice addition around here. I'd love it if they did come back with that style of dancing, but like you say, it would have to be modernized. I just can't visualize it happening with "Emergency" though, and that is largely due to the fact that the teaser strongly reminds me of Michael Jackson. The other part is that I stan the JSB-line harder than any other Asian act. "Emergency" as it is is also too good for vocals and will require toning down but not to the considerable amount as "Machine". I'm rather confident that if handled well enough, it would turn out rather similar to "Black Pearl" in the sense that the teaser's audio is deceivingly condensed, yet has that underlying pattern of the beats that is excellent for vocals. The same can be said for "Run & Gun" though it would be the one track on that tracklist that would undergo a transition closer to "Machine". All this is being said under the assumption that the rumours are true, or at least to an extent. The only thing I would like to add is that I wish SME was more smart with EXO because the teasers for debut revealed so much about the storyline concept behind EXO, yet since debut it hasn't carried through efficiently. The drama version of "Wolf" was just thrown at us to clear it: forbidden love and loyalty amongst the "Brothers" blessed with power on a mission to fulfill the good. That itself was set through the debut teasers, which subsequently set EXO as one of the to-be most distinct rookie in the over-saturated market, however the lack of development on that is disappointing, and the main distinction became only the sub-group division. A steady build-up would have made more of an impact and generated more interest. For that reason I do think that releasing mini-albums would have been a more tactful approach than taking a long absence and releasing one full-album followed up by a loosely-produced drama. Months ago, I stated that their absence would be beneficial for reducing high expectations, but they actually would have been better off sustaining the momentum, particularly since they have a unique identity. SME should take more pride in the distinction that it has painted onto EXO, yet I get the impression that the company is just rushing and going out too hard for the big annual wins. So far, it's sadly been quantity over quality. I vaguely remember an interview before the comeback where SeHun spoke about the possibilities of doing promotions alone, so if this plan is still on the table then the chances of any duo-tracks coming true is high. The thing is though, EXO's albums have both done very well, and judging from how eager SME is with EXO, it seems more likely that in order to ensure that the repackaged does just as well, the power of 12 will have to be. That doesn't score out how some time in the near future we may very well get duo-tracks. They'd be so fitting for the "grand finale". I used to get frustrated by how over-shadowed XiuMin was, but this time he stood out and defined himself very nicely. He shone by just being himself, and I feel that that would not have been the case if most of the promotion was based in China. I still have to applaud him for how well he is coping with language boundaries, but it will take time to see the same level of comfort and openness that he showed in Korea to happen when he is in China. He's doing very well! Musically, he just needs more lines. Within 2-week of their debut I threw out my bias list / haha For some reason, and despite openly stating that I don't get his input to the group, which I still don't, I have been developing warm feelings towards SeHun.... well, that is understatement: I went through a tiny phase wondering how nice it would be to have him as a boyfriend for just 3-days. I've already mentioned XiuMin, but in my eyes, KyungSoo too has gained a lot of confidence, particularly in the performance area. His familiarity of the procedures, and simply knowing what to do and what to expect comes across clearly. He's not nervous, or at least not as blatantly so to the point that he'd blank out. It doesn't take much to notice how much fun he is having every time he is on the stage. There have been moments where I do think that he pushes too hard, but that is return 'gift' could be down to many reasons. I'd just like him to feel like he doesn't have to , certainly not to that degree. LuHan deserves a mention because when "Mama" came out I didn't think much of him as a vocalist, but this year I have been paying closer attention to him and his consistency is brilliant. I just wish that they all better themselves as performers and musicians, but most importantly, as people. For me, that is the most beautiful aspect about supporting a group from debut. Just the 12 being together was enough to make me happy.... Leia, You've been the reason that has brought me back to this thread. I couldn't even tell you the last time I was on here, but it was nice to keep coming back to check up on your updates. You're very lucky. You know that. You get told that every now and again... but really, you are very lucky. I'm delighted for you not because you get to see them, but because you're a kind, devoted and sincere fan who got the opportunity to see them. Thanks for sharing your accounts.
  16. That performance in Russia made me wish he was still that loud blonde just to standout a bit more. It's probably going to be the only time I'll ever wish it / lol I hope I wasn't coming across as a Preacher, and to tell you the truth, part of that post was influenced by fan-comments that I was reading in response to Cory Monteith's death. It shocked me how people could get delusional to the point that they perceive their 'idols' as beyond Human. At one point I stumbled across one expressing how she forgot that these 'stars' can actually die. Being a fan can be beautiful, but it can also be scary if it gets too unhealthy. That bold part is very nice. If I was in that position I too would feel more reason to show encouragement despite being awful at hiding what I truly feel. "Choosing to see" part is agreeable to me when it comes to showmanship, because even with 'idols' whose attitude I do not like, I can still take liking to their releases. LOL / My teen years are gone, but sometimes I just cannot contain my excitement. I don't take any pride in this but the main reason why many in reality think I'm younger than my years is because of my reactions. SME is going out too hard to scoop up annual awards with EXO. The strategic moves so far are already starting lose their efficiency in delivering impact. Having an EXO-member feature in f(x)'s comeback is not clever at all. It's completely unnecessary especially since we have these drama version releases, but then again, the timing of it all makes no sense. Would have been more beneficial to pull EXO out of the scene for a while for the sake of comeback anticipation, but at this point SME seems to be bathing at whatever storm it sets up to happen. In every situation, SME knows how to get what it wants from the fans, and the public. (I accidentally -1'ed that post - sorry) Those years apart from her son must have been very tough, more so for knowing that even after many years there is no certainty of the desired outcome. Can imagine it to have been emotionally tiring, even the times when she felt the need to rummage back on his old possessions to recall memories because that is all that she physically had infront of her. She must have longed to be by his side. Her heart must have felt heavy whenever he returned home; those few moments and she would be taken aback by how quick her young boy is becoming a man. It's very difficult to go through all that. Buying those merchandize is not only her celebrating his achievement, but also reminding herself that it is all real. That it all paid off at the end. Showing that to the online community is almost like her standing ontop of the tallest building in the world and screaming for all to know the pride she has for her son. It's beautiful. Thank you, but you really should be more active in here. I think it's safe to say that he's likely to be shaped up as a street-style 'icon' than a photoshoot one. I wish he would practise his expressions and postures more. I tend to have this semi-permanent disagreement with the Fashion Editors when it comes to the final selection of solo-shots because about 95% of the time it is so basic, even when compared to the many fantaken shots. Quite disappointed with L'Officiel Hommes preview. EDIT: This actually came out better than expected, but I'm not sure if I'm saying that because I have a soft spot for a man in a suit. The colour co-ordinations and balance are good, but just good. Change the box to red and add something to the wall would have made it more interesting.
  17. Thanks for the updates guys. My heart sank. Korea is clearly a nation that prides itself for the high beauty standard it holds, but the dominant Korean mindset towards beauty is achingly ignorant and shallow. It's normal to have preferences to skin tone, but the problem only arises when skin tone has associations that ultimately determines the worthiness of the being. Hence why all comparisons of the beauty standards between Koreans and Japanese should not even exist; in comparison to Japan, Korea is very much one-dimensional in that aspect, and has a very long way to go to rid that corrupted mentality. That's just my little addition to the discussion. = = = Message from HIRO (19/07) via team-ldh It is so hot every day. Everyone, how are you? Now, I am engaged in a shoot in New York (^^) New York, like Japan, is very hot. The summer heat is billowing… As a dancer and a performer, New York to me, in a way, is a place where I have eulogized my youth, a place I can recall my past , a place I have got a lot of stimulation from, and a place very special to me! Although the jet lag is very severe, from now on, I will concentrate on creating the best work!! Everyone, please look forward to it (^^) Thanks for your support! In fact a few days ago, before I came to New York, I voted in the early voting of the House of Councillors election which will be held this week!! Having realized that we have always been getting energy from all of you through the entertainment and taking activities under the theme ~Inspire Japan~, I participated even though it was an early voting! Embracing the hope that an environment could be created for us who stand on the formal stage so that we can contact with other people more, which leads them to a brand new stage. What’s more, the most important thing is to create an environment to let the children show their extraordinary talents. Therefore, I voted (^^) I know I am not mature enough, and there are still a lot of things that I don’t understand… but to make Japan a place that people can realize their dreams… and to make Japan energetic again…From now on, we will unite as one and go ahead towards our dream! Let’s stay active and take part in activities under the theme ~Inspire Japan~. Let’s go for it together (^^) Please show your support!

The amount of wank-full EXO-threads lately is beyond ridiculous....
  19. Ramadan is a religious period where Muslims refrain from eating, drinking and cussing. That last part seems like such a challenge when online and encountering Muslim k-pop fans / haha
