Not full on but SHINee uses funk elements in their songs from time to time. Anyways, there was a group called "TROY" back in 2014 that had this similar vibe. The group had Bumkey in it and was created by BrandNewMusic. So I'm thinking that VROMANCE might be a "replacement" for that group since: a.) Bumkey went to jail or whatever so that group is pretty much disbanded b.) When Mamamoo's company was WA entertainment they were affiliated with BrandNewMusic. (They still may be with RBW but I'm not sure). ---- What's the name of the guy who sings first in the BIG LIVE VER.? He has my fave voice and he's a cutie.

zzz it's not hypocritical to be excited for Jinny and not like Sua at the same time. Everyone has already seen what Sua can do and it's in their right to form an opinion of her. And tbh the girl is like a bag of bricks. We don't know what Jinny can do however. It's one of the main reasons I want her to debut - to see how she's improved in dance and to see her rapping skills.

The YG article says it's pronounced as Ro-jeh for Koreans which means it's regularly pronounced as Ro-zay.

You're best bet is just backtracking this thread. I can't remember the exact page # (it was on May 10th, 2014 if that helps) when Jinny was revealed but after that hordes of info and pictures of her were dug up by members of this thread. The tumblr blog that revealed her in the first place revealed that she as a rapper, when she joined YG, and what she auditioned with as well.

She posted on her old SNS (maybe her now deleted ask.fm) that she was taking one of those YG trainee lessons on rapping and writing rap lyrics etc.

I can't really see 7 anymore but I can see 6 happening. But has anyone considered the fact that their "debut" might just be a pre-release song/music video instead? That gives them something to dominate the music charts (if it ends up being a hit) during the Olympics. Then after the Olympics a mini album.

I'm a bit underwhelmed too but I feel as if the vibe of Jisoo's pictures was YG's intention. They wanted to keep it pure, simple, yet still alluring for their visual. In other words, they don't want to do what they did to Dara in the past. We all know how a lot Dara's stylings were a "turnoff" for Koreans.
