  1. It is interesting (in a bad way) that their Japan fanclub closed down considering that their last activity as a group was a concert series in Yokohama, Japan on 2-3 November 2016.  To give you an idea how long ago that was, Donald Trump had not even been elected president of the USA at that point

It just hurts to think about. wthplz.png

The one thing that makes me want to buy K-Pop albums is basically the packaging. It's not just some crystal case. That's so basic and so old. We get photobooks and photocards, and even posters.

Though I have yet to buy Pink Tape. I have bought 4 Walls and Red Light. If only I were so damn rich... rlytearpls.png

I never listen to my albums, I just open them and look at the photos and to see what photocard I got. They're all like little mini photo albums. Western pop artists have a lot to learn...

  2. Oh it's kind of upturned and the nostrils are tall and wide, and the tip looks a bit pointy(?) in a rounded way. I'm not exactly sure, but thats why I'm asking anyway

It just looks like the child is making a face and flaring up his nostrils while being photographed at an angle from below.

  3. I don't think Luna's neck was photoshopped. it always looks weird these days. If there's a procedure that sucks the fat out from under your neck/chin then i'm preeeeetty sure she got that done.

her neck looks like that of an emaciated woman. and she is very thin, but not... quite.... emaciated?

it might have been whatever gives male kpop idols those crispy jawlines that suddenly appear a few months after debut. the "puberty and weight loss" procedure lol

Yeah, I am prone to agree. I'm just torn between being concerned for her well-being and just accepting that this is what they do in her line of business. It seems she is really happy with her new body, considering how often she is updating IG these days.

(Photo for comparison of her neck and legs.)

  4. I was looking for pics but since they are all so skinny i couldn't really find good comparison pics. I only found this

    bona2.jpg

as you said her legs look so skinny almost frail..

    I agree.

Also when i got into kpop i always wondered how the girls can dance in heels all day but have no visible calf muscle

I actually had to look it up, and it says: "Carboxy Therapy involves injecting tiny amounts of Carbon dioxide (CO2) beneath the skin to break down fatty deposits and stimulate collagen production."

Otoh, this page says longterm exposure to CO2 isn't harmful, but there are a lot of warnings right above that statement, so it's a bit contradictory.

  5. sorry for double post but isn't related to kpop but I want to get botox or fillers (?)

I'm 28 and I always had visible laugh lines, but from last years they started becoming super deep I don't know if it related but I had to get my womb removed and I read it makes you age faster when you don't have your uterus (?)

    soooo...

is botox a good option or is there any other thing I can get?

    thanks xxx

I don't think that you age faster because of that procedure, at least not skin-wise. However, you may enter menopause earlier, but that depends on if your ovaries are still intact and probably some other things that you don't need to disclose here.

(Since I work in the field, I would recommend you do kegel exercises to help prevent prolapse, though.)

Not about ps but could you share based on what you made the point about smoking? I always thought they'd rather not because they have to exercise so much with all the dancing and need healthy lungs for singing too, and that agencies would therefore not allow it (in Stray Kids debut reality show JYP said to them that the biggest mistake he made was smoking and that they should never do it etc). The only thing I've heard about related to smoking was Lee Hongki vaping lmao

(anyway I hope not actually that many idols smoke because I can't stand smoking :-) )

Isn't smoking like an upper? If you don't eat or sleep properly, you can smoke to stay awake, sort of?

Carboxy shots are so fascinating to me

    luna.jpg

    same.

i wish there was more information available on them. they seem to be super popular with female idols. I suspect WJSN uses them a lot since they all have really skinny legs- it's their natural body type for some (like luda or dayoung) but on others, they seem disproportionately thin

It's been so obvious on Luna's latest IG posts that she has had some sort of procedure done on her legs. I only recently learnt that's it's called carboxy, though. I don't think anyone knows the long term effects, which makes me highly suspicious of it being a good thing. But only time can tell...

All her muscle definition is also gone, somehow, which is strange since she seems to be exercising a lot. Anyway, she appears to be very proud of her new legs and she's showing them off in almost all posts lately.

This might be stating the obvious, but Loona really are a quality group. I think they are the most original thing going on in girl group K-pop right now. And the depth of music in their B-sides is really good.

I'm getting to know the members as well now. I can almost name them all.

Yey! Welcome. They may appear a myriad of girls, but once you get to know each one you will see that they all have very distinct personalities. And I agree about them being one of the most original and innovative girl groups at the moment. Of course, it's sad that Butterfly didn't win a lot of rewards, but at the same time I think it's better that they can build up their fanbase and fame slowly. It's probably a lot easier on the members that way, instead of an instant overnight success that puts a lot of pressure on them to make an ever bigger splash the next time.
