Season 2 is just a build up for the movie IMO. They're probably using this season to answer some questions, weaken the system a bit and keep the audience on their toes for the movie.

I need some proper closure on Sasuke and Sakura's relationship Contrary to popular opinion, I actually really liked this pairing for various reasons. I don't think there's another girl fit to be Sasuke's lover (but not visa versa). He clearly needed that persistent woman who would stop at nothing to keep him from darkness and stuff. He probably realized this too but didn't want to have her end up dead while on his mission to flip the world around LOL. I don't even know I'm done tbh. I'm just glad I got the exact pairings I wanted. Still bitter about Neji tho. I wanted him to be a father too : (

Hm, I think I'm the only one who's happy with this. I always wanted SasuSaku + NaruHina to happen. At the same time, I wanted a SakuNaru pairing but it was really unlikely. I hope the closure for SasuSaku's relationship is good because he never returned her feelings for like wat years No comment on the other pairings + Gaara's hair
