  1. Could twice be remembered as a physical digital and fandom powerhouse in the future? Yes ofc, objectively in each category. The only other gg that contends with them digitally is BP, their fandom and physicals is uncontested. They also own Korea and Japan so theyll be the most remembered in Korea. Look at SNSDs legacy in Korea today vs 2ne1. How many groups cover 2ne1 songs compared to into the new world and gee etc? Or compared to tell me and so hot. Hell, nobody covers roly poly or lovey dovey or the countless massive T-ARA bops, because they fell off so hard. Twice is more dominant in 3rd gen than snsd was in first gen. Snsd started off 2nd to WG, was overtaken digitally by T-ARA massively in 2011. In total weeks of melon top 10 cumulative the ranking is 2ne1 with 110 weeks. Tara with 95, wonder girls with 90 and snsd with 89. Sistar with 80 but in the later era sistar had the digital hits, not snsd. But does any of that matter? No because history remembers those who endure and at this pt in retrospect much of the little details are forgotten and people look back at 2nd gen as SNSD being the overwhelming dominating force, even if it were nowhere near as simple as that.

People can be like but they had 3 comebacks and we had 1 bla bla but higher gaon total index in a year means twice has more people listening to them more often. Theyre in the public eye more, they're relevant more. Theyre a constant. They're legendary already because ever since cheer up theyve dominated their home country without any real argument of being contested. At this pt two things matter, longevity for the long haul, trying to make it to 10 years and beyond, as well as attempts to keep things fresh by changing things up and having the group mature as the girls themselves do. Take lesson from SNSD, Twice cannot reduce Korean comebacks if they want to maintain their stronghold and relevance, if they want to promote in Japan as much as they are now that cant come as a sacrifice to Korean output, because unlike SNSD getting lucky with T-ARA's downfall and YG sucking at making fandom based groups, Twice wouldn't be able to coast on the same type of minimalism. With ITZY here now it can even further cement Twice's legacy. If JYP succeeds in creating an unstoppable girl group hegemony that even SM is afraid to debut their new GG because they know itd be hard to compete, then Twice's legacy will include being the birth of that. Hell they're legendary just for the fact that they brought the company out of a 5 year financial hellhole and out of a stagnated limbo where they couldn't make any forward momentum. SM and YG did so much expansionary things between 2010 and 2015 meanwhile JYPE was hemorrhaging due to going all in on the WG American advancement. Twice managed to help them not only catch up in less than 3 years but surpass YG and be right alongside SM. JYPE is only about 2.5B won per quarter away from making the same profits as SM. Thats Twice being legends. And look at how quickly and aggressively the company is able to expand into new groups, because of what Twice brings in for them. They rescued the company and its brand value.

Lets take that trip down memory lane and really get an idea for just how legendary Twices impact has been. We went from this:

omg thanks that was so interesting

  2. yeah i think that's likely. YoY could also still be #6 tho. haeun's song has slowly been creeping up the top 10 these past couple of weeks so he's the deciding factor on what YoY's rank will be on Monday.

btw, shaun oppar's song is also coming out this week. and he only has one goal: to kick YoY out of top 10!!! (lol jk). anyway, hopefully YoY does last 10-11 weeks

no shade but I hope Shaun will do great, he's a great artist despite all the scandals, but I think It will do great in 2-3 weeks, it will start around ~30. I think Chungha will do a Top 10, but Heize and Haeun will probably fall so.

May be Winner is gonna fall too, the song is bad (i'm not a hater i love them) so
