I stumbled on this video recently and was SHOCKED when some of Twice's older songs started appearing in the top 10. I guess I forgot that they were hit hard by that rule change. Why were BP and BTS able to survive the rule change tho? Do the new rules favor international views over national views?

They all do honestly. Its just the other groups have more hype beast type songs so they chant and shout to hide the struggle vocals. Stray kids are the only exception since they are more rap based and only let the vocalists sing.

ok but its like comparing Hilary Duff's Music Career to Ariana. Yeah Hilary started the teen actor turned pop singer thing, but Ariana did it better. Its the same with Twice and SNSD. SNSD started it, but Twice took it to a new level so its really disrespectful to put bring them down to SNSD's level at this point.

I wasn't praising WG's vocals, I was praising their dedication to learning musical instruments to advance their careers. Imagine if Twice spent just ONE year honing in on their vocals, it would be a wrap.

Hear me out, I'm not saying they should change concepts and learn instruments. But wouldn't it be dope if they took a year long break and came back vocally confident? (all members not just the big 3). You can see the anxiety on their faces during a simple encore stage...its honestly really sad (not pathetic sad, but makes me feel uncomfortable sad). If JYP put them through a hardcore condensed vocal training camp it would be impossible not to stan! Of course I don't really trust JYP's vocal coaches so there is already a problem, but its just a thought..a dream if you will.
