How do entertainment companies handle media ? Everything said bellow was searched thoroughly – its very-very-long If you don’t agree with what I said, please don’t hate me. Just ignore it’s been said and live happily. What are we going to talk about today ? 1. Paparazzi 2. How paparazzi are handled ? Paparazzi : Ever wondered how they get lucky enough to find an idol, gets a shot, and publish it with no problems ? that’s not really what happens, but we all did. Paparazzi work for paparazzi agencies. Those companies, do not depend on random people’s luck at finding famous people for sure. What those companies do depend on, is their connections with the entertainments.why ? for money, and how do those agencies get money ? first pages on newspapers and being talked about of course. The more your ‘news’ is talked about, the more money you get. Of course those cases do exist, by luck or the right sources, which we will get to later. And what we’re talking about does not apply to all cases for sure. But most paparazzi companies have what you can call a deal with the entertainment company. Say the entertainment company has a couple, and the couple wants to come out. Of course they can’t just say ‘we’re dating’, there has to be a rumor first. They need to plant a seed first, if you will. Example ? most famous couples that come out and get talked about has at least one photo ‘caught’ right before they come out. So they want to come out, what happens next ? The entertainment company calls the paparazzi agency, reports certain date and place. And a photo is taken. Yes its that simple. Of course, the entertainment gets full information to how the article will come out and when. Does this apply to paparazzi only ? no, it can be applied to fans as well. Entertainments can and do pay some fans, in some cases simply to inform them, of where their idol is or where to meet him. The picture is taken, talked about. The couple comes out, the couple is top news. Achievement unlocked. another proof to this, some pictures taken to an idol or famous person not at a concert/event would have a signature on it, and I don't mean famous fans who take pictures of idols in concerts, but those signatures are usually paparazzi agencies. you can always look those signatures up. eg, jonghyun's pictures right when he started 'dating' had "sportsseoul" signature on it. That’s cool, but what if a paparazzi got a picture he shouldn’t have ? Well, he needs to report back to his agency. His agency, needs to report back to the entertainment. For the deal sake and avoiding any lawsuits, especially if it’s a big entertainment *wink*wink*. Now there are some choices here to be made, The entertainment could pay them off and everything is done and closed. It could also let it leak, if it benefits them or if they couldn’t reach a deal. In which case, they get a say on what’s going to be said and when, they can also prepare a statement before its published. It all doesn’t feel real to you ? let me give you a very real example. I would link the video but I couldn’t find it and I apologize for that. This conversation happened between olly murs who works for modest! Management, you can say its equal to SM – with how big and how bad it is. He basically calls his company into the following prank call (this is a very real conversation) : Olly : a few pictures were taken .. Company : okay by paparazzi or people who were there ? Olly : well, I don’t know, there were a couple of flash being taken, I think it was – and yeah, I left basically. I don’t know I’m really panicking about it Company : okay, well it doesn’t sound like anything you need to worry about. I wouldn’t panick about it Olly : the thing is, we were in the car and we were kissing and stuff, and it became more than a kiss, you know what I mean ? Company : okay were there any picture of you there ? in the car ? Olly : that’s what I’m thinking. I – I don’t know. I don’t know. Company : the thing is people who get these pictures they would normally call us to just say, we’ve got this photo, of olly, you know whatever, cause normally those pictures are misleading. Company : honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it, cause if the pictures do come to light, which they might not even, but if it did – Olly : but we were snogging , it looks really bad. Company : we just say you were having a laugh and it was, you know a dare or something – Olly : ugh I don’t know Company : honestly don’t worry about it. If the pictures are gonna be printed anyway, we’ll usually know that before and so we can cross that bridge when it comes, the thing is whatever people print, we’ll have a comment ready to go. We’ll touch on it (the original story) , its not gonna be negative, we’ll put the positive side on it. So much for free media right ? this is, what I imagine, that happened to 'two kpop idols are dating' rumors that keeps appearing.

I watched that before, but I wonder if that's what they mean by choosing work over love ? that they have to make certain choices for work/SHINee even if they loved each other ? I'll do it if more people want , as soon as possible

When an actor came out, he got so much hate and got hisowned by his family. When Jonghyun supported lgbt, he got so much hate, I would never forget that. In something as small as a ship having a big moment, you'll notice that a lot of fans, in and outside Korea will start being salty about 'considering them gay' on the other side, The head of the students or whatever that's called became a lesbian girl who came out, this year in one of Korea's biggest universities. I feel like JongKey want to come out sometimes. Key with his 'being myself'. and Jonghyun, not covering up anymore to be honest. anyone remembers Key's "born me/can't change" something like that shirt ? If someone saw it, they'll know what I'm talking about. that's another thing I wanted to mention. reports about gay idols/couples with evidence were always there. and I'm sure some of them were true. But then again, there's SM. from what I heard, many of those reporters get paid very well by the company of the idol, enough to shut them up. and from the deep search I once did about how those companies work, I don't think a reporter can defy an entertainment company. I can write what I know about the subject If anyone is interested ? I know some japanese people who talked about lgbt rights in japan. because they joke alot about lgbt on tv, japanese don't consider it a big deal when it comes to non-japanese people.also because many of their historical characters were lgbt from gay to dressing as woman, etc. but for japanese themselves, it's not that acceptable between normal people. (from what I know) japan also has private media often, what happens in japan stays in japan. so most celebrities are comfortable there anyway. but I heard more than once that pride in korea always gets a lot of homophobic angry responses ? didn't people try to stop it few years ago ? for JongKey and work, Jongkey has this weird concept about work. they always keep saying our relationship is work.

glad you like it I do think its long and I also find the hearts are over done xD but then again, I'd click anything with jongkey in it. so for the fanfic, which eras should we start with ? I think it's better if we included multiple eras together. eg, one since they met till their first win/stage. then the beginning of really feeling attraction till the "dating" thing happened. the third is after till now ? give any other ideas also, can we talk about key dancing to girl groups ? I've been in this fandom for so long but I still love it so much remember ? he looked so happy.

Arabic, but I'm almost as comfortable with English, if not more.

I can't say I explored it that much, but If you have certain things you want to check, It makes it much easier than a laptop.

the beast : click here the beast isn't a finish fanfic, and although I almost never read those - its truly worth it. I did read "love therapy" ! I don't remember how It ended though but It was enjoyable.

making an exception for mikssi is a classic. also everything for her. I second the beast ! also drunken desires. I can't think of many at the moment (even though I read most of them), try searching jongkey rec too on tumblr or aff, they're usually good

I'll do my best although I do wish this place was more active or those times when most of the fandom shipped jongkey. ×× talking about jongkey crying ! did anyone notice how jongkey make each other cry ? they don't just cry together but they're the trigger for each other crying. I'll give some examples, the first one is Shinee concert III , jjong starts talking and key starts crying right away the second time is shinee world in tokyo dome first thing I noticed , when jjong hugged key he actually pulls key towards him - as in, he pushes key's arms to his back and that's when kibum get's the cue. second thing, is when they finally calm down, they're saying goodbye to the dancers and thank you , jjong touches key's arm and then key suddenly starts crying again, I loved that about them. It takes a very special relationship to be the only trigger that will absolutely make you cry if they cried. sorry about the long post thoug (I like analyzing )
