Okay let me tell you my Shawol story. I got into kdramas in July 2012. I finished one kdrama (You're Beautiful) and decided to check out this "kpop" genre because it sounded catchy. My friend said "try SHINee. Trust me. Try them." And I did. And boy was I hooked. They had just finished Sherlock promotions I think yet Lucifer was what hooked me. I was sold. Within two hours I was downloading all of their music they had out at that point of time. My first comeback was Dream Girl and yes. What a concept. What an era. What a wonderful microphone mishap that was made into so many gif sets. I just really love the Misconceptions era. And then Everybody happened. My original bias was Minho. But then Jonghyun happened and I haven't been able to look away since. Plus with these rumors of a solo concert like???? I am there. I ended up taking a very long break from kpop from September 2014 to February of this year. Once again, a kdrama dragged me back in. When it's Song Joongki, you can't say no. It's impossible. When I got to episode 2 I saw that Jinki was in the show and I started screaming. After I finished that episode I started listening to SHINee again and oh did I miss them. I also missed a lot during my break. I've been slowly catching up. When it was announced that they would be doing a fanmeet in Chicago I started crying because finally the Midwest (where I'm originally from) had caught SM's attention. That fanmeet was wonderful. And now I'm living in South Korea for the year teaching English. I'm seeing them at the Incheon K-pop Festival and at Spectrum. And yes, I am here right in time for a comeback. It's a good time to be a Shawol.
