    Just letting you know that Mic Drop is there because the mv doesn't feature Desiigner at all, in audio or visuals, and Steve Aoki isn't a feature. Just wanted to clear that up. Also thank you for adding soloists and subunits! I know it's the groups youtube record thread, but I look forward to having all the data in one place.

    Yep, unless they've changed their rules and I didn't know about it, versions have always been combined. With OT7 looking stronger on iTunes and pulling ahead on Spotify, unless the Nicki version can make up with radio play, I don't know if it'll be the one that charts. It'll be kinda close, I think.

    On the 4th day it fell out of the top 10, and as we know we weren't able to beat the bots that time, so it seems we're seeing improvements on iTunes. I hope Spotify numbers can get better, I've been focusing on the Nicki version, but now the other is pulling ahead...US army really don't got a plan here lmao. We'll just stream whichever I guess.

    I'm confused, aren't people above saying that the same thing happened to BP, they were frozen for 24hrs or something? Is there a way this is different? I'm genuinely curious. Seems like it could be the same thing.

    Fake Love had very low replayability/share factor, dark and somber with a break in the middle. The one is the exact opposite. It'll likely behave more like DNA too, with stronger longevity.

    Yep, but it's still very strong considering the trajectory it's at hours in. I mean, overall I guess this doesn't tell us a whole lot, but it's good to see anticipation high.

    HDD has him predicted for #1 at over 100k and the chart is still building so that can potentially go up. :/ and yeah, Nicki is predicted for #2, her songs aren't doing particularly well with streaming and she's literally giving the album away for free to try and go gold on debut. Mess. The kind of unspoken threat is Ariana, and that's still unknown. She doesn't have a massive general public audience like Drake, so her 2nd week shouldn't be close to even half of what his was.

    Reminder that Harry Styles is the most popular member of that group by far, Zayn was also popular and very well-known for leaving and was the first to release a solo album, and Niall's album was boosted by a concert ticket bundle and multiple versions. Luckily, we have those things going in our favor for this album, lol. This will surely be messy, but I still feel like we can pull out on top. A lot of fans need to get those concert tickets and hopefully the word is properly spread about redeeming for an album.

    I read an article that said that usually about 30% of people redeem, but with BTS fans being how we are - I expect at least 50% to be redeemed tbh. Regardless of anything, it's a good boost.

    This is good! Lots of artists do this these days to boost physical album sales, there was a whole article on western artists doing this to improve BB200 charting specifically. I know even Taylor Swift did something similar, where buying multiple copies of her album gave fans priority. This miiiight secure #1 as long as Ariana doesn't have Drake-like numbers week 2, and she really shouldn't.

    I love that it's following the pattern of Tear so closely. It'll be nice to see a strong uptick with concept photos being released!

    Not to mention their official Spotify playlist passed up spotify's top Kpop playlist and is only widening the gap. kings of Spotify, wbk.

    Nah, while they were promoting, Fake Love was actually climbing higher in the morning. And even now their songs do good in the day. The groups that drop 50 spots during the day are the ones that will have an issue.

    Exactly, we got distribution only because the pure album sales were so nuts. They were the first Kpop group to stay on the BB200 more than one week, and remain the only ones to this day. They charted for multiple weeks before ever getting distribution, showing their demand, longevity, and fanbase. And this August (probably) they'll have three albums in the Billboard 200 simultaneously. That's insane.

    Didn't everyone kinda agree that the thread is better off going by whatever we see on the website at the 24 hour point? Because all groups have fans streaming and inflating numbers higher with bad streams, but since only BTS fans are numerous enough to get the answer from youtube, it's kind of unfair. If we edit BTS numbers we need to find the actual 24 hour number for every single mv officially from youtube. What's the point?

    Kpop albums rarely even chart on BB200 and when they do it's for one week. To have two on the chart and for one to be at #1 and the other there for its 31st week...

    This is why Columbia plucked them from Sony Red, they saw this streaming and selling potential. Imagine another Mic Drop type song with certified hit-maker Zedd and a catchy chorus? I do wonder what their next move will be. Also I love these new youtube charts. Click on any country and Fake Love is right there, high in the rankings.
