i think he's supposed to be dueting with a non-celeb, so beige is unfortunately out of the question.

here's a summary of the show's format

Not including pilot episodes: Seven celebrity artists choose a non-celebrity partner from a selection of people who submit performances to perform a duet of their choice. Each pair is given exactly 4 minutes to perform and earn votes from the 500 live voters in the audience and the celebrity panel. The order is selected by the current first place duo, and with the exception of the pilot episodes, the winner of the previous episode chooses the first performance. The voting results are shown directly on the screen behind the performers, and at the end of all the performances, the duo with the highest vote count is the winner for the episode. The winners are invited back to the show for the next episode, and another duo is chosen for "The Duet You Want To See Again" by the audience to be revived for the next episode as well.

I kept thinking about this kind of intense and emotional ballad in Kyuhyun's upcoming album, GODDDD, his voice will slay us all And well, we all know about the time when Kyuhyun slapped in everyone's face with his advanced version of Lim Chang Jung's song in Star Golden Bell.

that is a good song but man his voice really aint for me. now that you mention it tho kyu would definitely kill it. i hope his upcoming concerts have a request corner like the agit. pretty sure it will get requested since it's been camping on melon's roof for weeks.

this was during his last show in seoul so it's safe to assume the nodules had already developed somewhat but he sounds as majestic as ever. if you've watched the presscall version you'll notice how much he improvised in this and it's just so gloriously and geniously done i am literally speechless.

in other news, i was listening to naul's memory of the wind the other day and as usual when i listen to a good song or any song really i imagine kyuhyun singing it.

imagine something like this for his title track, i would lose it.   he could even lower the key since the chorus is like crazy high and would probably sound just as good a bit lower.

i'm kind of tired of seeing fans pressuring kyuhyun to enlist, i even saw some people call him selfish for supposedly delaying his enlistment (he is NOT delaying, early '88-liners are supposed to be enlisted by the end of 2017). i have been a fan for 5 years so i was around for most enlistments and none of the other members were pressured as they're doing to kyu. i do not understand the deal with wanting sj to be "complete" again so badly, so miss me with that bs. they've released most of their albums with members missing, it's not the end of the world? i just dont see why he would have to put his currently still blooming career on hold just to cater to fans' sentimental needs, especially when he doesnt even HAVE to go yet.

im awie, 23 year old from the netherlands. im very opinionated, often mistaken as bitchy (which im not i assure you ). i've been a kyuhyun fan for 5+ years. mr simple was on yt's main page, i randomly clicked on it, kyu's bridge happened and life has never been the same. i mostly stan him for the god given liquid gold that is voice, but i also love his looks, his intelligence and the way he carries himself overall (a class nerd lbr). nice to meet y'all.

this is one of life's mysteries. Also i hope the first page of the thread always has this hip hop post so that everyone knows it was a legit thing a long time ago

I expect for Kyuhyun to have a comeback in Nov as well and i love atG and AMP. Altho i wud love to see him stick to the sound that he likes i want to be selfish and want him to release a song like Wild Flower (i'm still weeping over his ver. i'm sorry T.T ) and as to the duet can i be more selfish and wish for a PHS x Kyu collab/duet however u call it. But 1st thing 1st, i wish for his full recovery b4 the album. T.T half of me died when i heard the word surgery and kyuhyun in one sentence T.T thank god its untrue and just mistranslation.

a nice intro of the subject i would like to discuss with y'all...

when do you guys think he'll come back? do you have any expectations hopes or wishes?

i personally think he'll comeback in november, or at least i hope he will considering there hasnt been much talk about him recording like with the first two albums. so im guessing he hasnt recorded or hasnt fisnished recording and the last thing i want for him is to have a rushed comeback. then there's also the fact he's recovering from nodules. all in all i estimate his comeback to be around mid-november.

personally i want him to stick to his signature smooth warm ballad sound for the title track, because i loved both atg and amp very much. i wouldnt mind it to be more of a power ballad like the days we felt the distance either.

for the album im hoping for slightly more variation. his first two albums have been very cohesive so im guessing hoping for an r&b track would be futile but i really really love how he sounds singing it so that would be my first wish. he could lose the piano forest/flying deep in the night (not fond of either) type of song to make place for a smooth r&b track. i definitely wouldnt mind a rap featuring since he mentioned it himself but idk how serious he was being.

lastly im expecting/anticipating to hear more of his songwriting skills. ways to say goodbye was my favorite song off his 2nd album and imo quite an upgrade from my thoughts your memories so i hope he manages to outdo himself once more.

edit: i would also love for him to join at least one singing program during his promo cycle, provided that he's fully recovered of course.

^ Dayum. I don't know how things would've gone if he went through but I somehow doubt he would've gotten more out of it, impact wise. 

I was a little...disappointed in the second song choice. It was nice but I was expecting something more. Going from his first performance to this made me feel like something was missing. I was streaming the show at 4am in the morning and the moment the lady started her performance, I was already fearing the results. She chose such an upbeat song and the fact that she performed right before the voting wasn't helping my anxiousness. And then the elimination came......I was prepared for it but it was still discouraging. The only thing that kept me watching was the ment since you know kyuhyun was going to be kyuhyunlike and make it memorable.

Just when all our spirits was down he come out on top in the best way possible. The loss was forgotten and even welcomed seeing as how we got to see Kyuhyun, not Detective Cough under a mask, perform Wild Flower in front of the whole nation. I think it's safe to say that our reaction matched the audience's. At that moment it felt like we were hearing him sing it for the first time again.

 

Kyuhyun's time on the show may have been short but he certainly knew how to leave a lasting impression.
