Honestly, I still can't get my head around why YMC were so tight fisted on letting I.O.I livestream through the V app. By contrast, WJSN are so active on V Live (Yeonjung recently did one, which is now subbed: http://www.vlive.tv/video/22817?channelCode=F5F127),and DIA is regularly on there too (Chaeyeon is actually great on V Live, especially alone; I think her personality comes out more when she isn't overwhelmed by all the I.O.I extroverts). One theory is that Starship, MBK and Jellyfish (and possibly the other companies as well) put restrictions on their girls doing solo/random livestreams on the I.O.I channel, and only let them appear if it was part of official I.O.I promotions. Even so though, YMC were still stingy af with letting the sub-unit use the app, and the fact that they deleted the videos after they closed the channel says to me it was never a priority for them.

Classic Chaeyeon.

Totally rooting for Kang Yewon on this season. She was SO fragile on Real Men with her shortsightedness and thick af nerd glasses and tendency to cry at any given moment. Needs protecting at all costs. The producers have done a great job at balancing out the new cast with stage experience (Jinyoung, Minzy, Somi – all former GG members who have something to prove), comic relief (Sook, Jinkyung), and hidden gems (Chaeyoung, Yewon). I even think the degree of difficulty is higher for Chaeyoung/Yewon to overcome than Sook/Jinkyung, who as comedians could for the most part just laugh off their shortcomings during the first season.

I'm quietly confident we'll get to see more of Somi's parents and little sister down the line (anyone who watched the first season knows this show is big on origin stories and featuring family members of the cast). Sohye totally needs to make a guest appearance as inspiration for Yewon and Chaeyoung.

Legend. Actually, just to add to my earlier suggestions, I'm still hopeful this (despite its length) will get subbed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgbf3xlosyk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aviJ26qPQlQ It's already hella fun to watch without subs (I think it really shows off the girls' charms in an unfiltered way), but it would be amazing if the whole thing was translated. The dodaeng parts have been subbed so some of the leg work is already done...

There's the short BTS from the second I.O.I/Knowing Bros episode which seems to have slipped through the cracks: Other than that, I guess the Golden Tambourine episode with Somi/Doyeon would be great, as it looks highly unlikely that show will be picked up for general subbing in the future. Same goes for Hello Friends (I.O.I cuts would be fine).

Praise the Hallyu Gods! Looks like this rip is subtitled in Chinese – hopefully the subbing team(s) eventually get around to captioning it in English for posterity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NknixK44DDE LMAO, of course the first thing Somi does after meeting Hong Jinkyung is her Hong Jinkyung impression.

Doyeon was probably like "don't tell anyone about this" and Fantagio instead went and fed us some BS story about studying abroad
-
Honestly, if Fantagio wants to improve Yoojung and Doyeon's English, they could've just hired Chungha, Somi and Sohye as tutors.

Post Sejeong, I feel like Heechul has taken over the role of raising Sohye. The way he casually patted her on the head was adorable.

Somi was just on V Live!!! http://www.vlive.tv/video/22476/

The official WJSN (우주소녀) thread ✰ #WJSN #LastSequence
Sleeze Sister replied to UMJI MOODS's topic in Groups
Question from a long-time lurker: I've really be enjoying all the V broadcasts lately, but is there a chance they'll ever be subbed, either by V Live or by fans? I notice subbing on the V app hasn't been happening at all recently, which is unusual when you consider only a few months ago Yeoreum and Dayoung's 2 1/2 hour broadcast was subbed. (This is actually a broader question about how V works internally and why some streams are live subbed and whether owners of the channel pay for this service. I do know V now allows fans to add subs, but maybe some are reluctant to when it's unclear whether a particular video is earmarked for subbing by the V team at a later date.)- 121,328 replies

Damn, I know Sejeong just has her hair tied back here, but that short hair look is FINE on her.

Dunno, though it would be awesome if it meant both Somi and Hee-chul were upcoming guests on Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.

Sohye and mom at her brother's graduation. I don't see Yoojung though, haha.

Somi with her Sister Slam Dunk unnies (from Hong Jinyoung's IG account). Looks like they're on an MT or having a slumber party.

It's possibly original footage shot by the SSD production team that we'll get to see on the first episode of the new season.

Classic Yeonjung.

Loved the fact that Sohye answered the question about losing weight in a (relatively) realistic way. Idols hardly ever talk about exercising when asked the same question; they instead typically name check whatever extreme diet they (or their agency/handlers) have subjected themselves to (which is usually just a form of starvation), and it's spoken of in a casual way that normalizes that behavior and of course perpetuates the outrageous female body image standards that pervade Korean and international entertainment industries. Somi has actually mentioned the banana diet at least once and intimated trying to lose weight through unhealthy dieting habits before. That sucks because she's young and her body is still changing. I wish there was a little more responsibility around weight loss when it comes to K-pop and how it is addressed to the media – for instance, it wouldn't be very hard to idols to say "I've been trying to lose weight by dieting AND exercising, which I get from dance practices and performance rehearsals."

Episodes 1 & 2 (w/ english subtitles) are on V Web Drama channel: http://channels.vlive.tv/ED523B/video Damn, I think you're right – they've actually deleted them. Though I knew YMC were closing the channel, I expected the videos to still remain on the database and could be accessed through the search field (like 4minute's V Lives, which are still on there, though their channel isn't anymore). Why they gotta erase all those memories?

I would've said either of the Knowing Bros episodes a month ago, but since the Amigo TV episode was subbed, it has become an all-time favorite for me. I like that they aren't following an MC or a heavily scripted show format but are basically just eating, hanging out and playing games on their own.

This is the next best thing to the reward vacation they talked about (but never got). I wish there were pictures...
