I finally finished reading The Girl On The Train. Some how I managed to escape spoilers unlike I could with Gone Girl. I'm always late to these big books but I will not miss the inevitable phenomenon with Paula Hawkins next book Into The Water. I've watched some of her interviews and I totally love her outlook on women and how sexist it is to have us depicted as depthless characters with no complexities or deeper emotions. Like with how she wrote Anna. She could've easily just written her off as a home wrecking bitch (which she is tbh fuck Anna) but as the story went on you couldn't help (well at least for me) but sympathize with her. Rachel terrorized her, took her baby. Anyone would be extremely fearful of a person like that and want to get as far way as possible from her.

 

 

 

I never once expected who did it until like...a chapter before I think. Usually I can guess but it really shocked me. I only read it once so I can't wait to read again (with the audio book this time because apparently it's really good) and find little clues.
