Shin Yuna replaced Somi in ITZY. Yuna was kinda an in-betweener trainee since she was young. A possible shoe-in for what it now ITZY, or most likely a guaranteed member of the next group. We’ll never know why until somebody spills the beans. Oh well. I don’t want to sound like a pessimist, because I’m just trying to be realistic here. But I wouldn’t get my hopes high on her promoting a lot after debut like she used to. This is YG’s sub-label after all. YG believes in exclusivity and “qualityâ€>quantity when it comes to promotion & a “how can you miss me if I never go away†ideology. Blackpink only started to get somewhat regular promotions in 2018 after 2 years of the public scorning & nagging YHS. I don’t think they’ll lock her away necessarily. They seem to be growing out of that. Unless different/new people manage her, I don’t think she’ll be an “everywhere†idol like she used to be. YG has never been about making “everywhere†idols in general. Unless the public absolutely demands it. That being said, I do trust YG’s music quite a bit. They rarely release a song I think is outright bad or boring (SM...) nor do they push the boundaries of experimentalism & end up not public-friendly (SM...!). I think her solo debut will be awesome. From song to MV to styling to choreography. Just GOD FORBID she doesn’t end up in the dungeon! YG has no qualms wasting their idol’s full potential for the sake of “taking things slow†& not even Teddy could save her from that. I hope she V-Lives/live-streams often or even has her own version of Blackpink TV.

I think ITZY is pretty much natural (they’re so young especially) The ONLY thing that I *question* is Yeji’s jaw. It could be attributed to weight loss because she used to have baby fat and now she’s quite slim, but I just noticed her jaw used to be a little more square and now it’s very v-shaped, round and elongated. Also, if YG wants to increase their international popularity, he needs to debut Mashiho. Putting his talent, charm and visual aside, the amount of popularity he has gained simply from being a TRAINEE on a survival show is insane considering he wasn’t even unfairly favoured or given copious screen-time. I’ve been using the LOA to put Mashiho debuting out into the universe so he better debut

TBH I’m tired of these LOOONG, drawn-out, one-per-day member teasers with NO other content to keep you interested. Not even a song teaser yet. *cough* TXT & ITZY *cough* I like them but I refuse to actually stan until I hear their debut song and see their personalities/dynamics. I like Twice but I jumped on the stan bandwagon before I got to know them as a group & they turned out to not be my cup of tea. At least with groups like LOONA, Treasure & Stray Kids, they had predebut shows, V-Lives, performances/songs and social media BEFORE their official debut which makes stanning them pre-debut less of a crack shot.

Imagine if they were called Box... So it’s really YG’s “treasure†“boxâ€

There is CCTV footage of the file who repeatedly tried to report it being dragged by the guard into the VIP Room as a staff watched and. Did nothing? If she were misbehaving or just getting kicked out, why forcefully drag her into the VIP Room and not out the front door? I think this is already past the level of “antis creating rumoursâ€. I think it’s more serious now since it possibly involves assault & Seungri should speak up or clarify :/ People here are just wondering how YG’s declining reputation will affect these groups in the short and long term.

Also, am I the only one that hated the name ITZY at first, but now it’s grown on me and I love it? Especially the meaning behind it,

I think Yuna was the member that replaced Somi (if not replace, then the group was originally OT6. I say this because we always saw Somi, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Jisu (Lia) and Yeji together in different combinations, but we only really saw Yuna on Stray Kidz show. I think she was either a possible shoe-in for ITZY or a guaranteed member of the next group. Then when Somi left, they replaced her with a visual maknae (especially because they are a trend + tend to gain popularity easily). A member that would attract attention as Somi would have (and Yuna really has). Everything happens for a reason. I really like this lineup.

IKON is already 7 members and YG hasn’t had a big boy group yet, so I hope he goes OT9 or OT8. Then again, before Blackpink debuted, everybody thought they would surely be more than 4 members because of 2NE1, but look what YG chose (even though Blackpink was originally OT5, he never replaced Miyeon). Had the groups debuted more than 1 generation apart like BP & 2NE1 at least, I wouldn’t think it’s an issue. But there’s a reason companies avoid debuting same-number same-gender groups within a few years of each other. It’s like creating a variation/alternate version of a group and can detract from a group’s individuality.

LOL this’ll be fun. We’ll either get a group picture as we expect, or get a complete new member. I’m okay with either (no more than 6 tho, I’m glad small groups are trending again). As long as there’s no more 48/72hr waits.

Anybody know who K-Netizens want in the group? I-fans obviously want Mashiho and Junkyu. Is it the same in Korea? Mashiho has to make it. He really has to...

Beomkyu is 1 year 3 months younger than Soobin though? Unless you meant Yeonjun & Soobin’s age difference. It’s funny how it works like that lol.
