  1. Sana stay strong dear. I am so beyond angry right now. She's not only the most sweetest person out there, but she's also the best in Korean out of all the foreign members and has always been close with the K-members. How anyone could think someone who left their native land to sing and entertain in a foreign language is somehow a threat to their country is unreal.

    Sana you're the reason I got into TWICE. From America with love lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png lovestruck.png

  2.

    >Onces in facebook groups sexualizing them

it's kpop and that is exactly what JYPE and therefore stylists want to achieve

I think JYPE does a good job of *not* oversexualizing them. Some outfits are questionable, but I think they're far far far from the worst in Kpop. In winter, I do notice TWICE tend not to wear tights/pants as much as other groups and I hope they take better consideration of the girls comfort going forward. (shame Sana didn't keep the flower tights for her on stage outfit)

Also, the more TWICE drifts away from cutesy, the more sexualization issues are going to arise. More male fans, more risky dances, more short skirts/long boots/heels/etc. I think many people on here forget that even Tzuyu is a fully legal woman. With no kids in TWICE anymore we have to accept that if the girls are ok with showing this side we're going to get more of this.

  3. So far my favorites are Turn It Up (I knew my bias would deliver) and Strawberry. I'm neutral on Fancy as I can't quite pick up on the song from the snippet. The rest.....we'll......everyone has different tastes I suppose. Honestly, everyone is doing that super electronic style music and I really was hoping for some more earthy, instrumental sound instead. Break the mold, ya know?

My wish is for the album to do well and the girls to feel like they're finally making that turn towards the music they want to create.

  4. I don't mean to stir the pot, but something in Jeong's teaser got me:

So she's walking towards some flowers. Cool. TWICE has always sung about love and romance...But then something happens...Jeong touches the thorn. I know this seems like nothing, but anyone knows how to hold a rose w/o getting pricked. I wonder if this is a subtle message meant to show ONCEs that this isn't going to be a song about cute young women yearning to get to know/fall in love with a man. I think Jeong touching the thorn means maybe we're about to get a song that isn't about "love", or not in the way we've always heard it from TWICE.

Personally, I'm not one of those who are desperate for a "concept change" since if I didn't like TWICE's image I wouldn't listen to them, so I'm not trying to see things in the wind so to speak. This to me is the first TWICE teaser I've ever seen (And I've been here since Signal) that actually legit has me thinking these kinds of things, so I hope this lends this post some credibility.

  5. Oh that‘s very interesting. Their sales are definitely going to be interesting this era. With their American distribution too.

    Also hope for Europe !

I feel for my European brothers and sisters. They could have at least done London and Paris with not much more effort.

I hope JYPE doesn't overextend them. The 9 tour dates are nice, but I hope they are able to get that August/September time frame to rest up and gear up for Twicetober/Twicevember.

  6. so any of you guys planning to go to the world tour? if so which leg?

i'm actually considering going to singapore's if everything works out lol T__T i hope they add an aus leg though so much easier

Well, you can probably guess mine by my previous post. :P

I'm right in NYC, and there's a subway that takes you just blocks away from the Prudential Center which is where I think they most likely would play. The main thing is I wonder what promotions JYPE is going to put out there to drum up interest stateside unless they think the Hallyu community is already that large.

  7. It has been a really long time since I have seen Twice mention their own comeback this much. They must be really fired up from the concerts.

I can only imagine the high they're on. 5 sold out Japanese dome dates? Legendary. They even look invigorated coming back to Korea.

There's something about seeing your dreams come true like this that I'm sure gives one a second wind.

  8. Companies most likely sponsor foreign idols’ work visas. I wonder how strict Japanese tax laws are for expats. I know US citizens have to file taxes no matter where they are in the world, so Mina, as an American citizen probably had to pay US income taxes on her Twice earnings. Though that probably won’t be the case anymore - as she just turned 22, and Japanese nationality laws require people with dual citizenship to choose when they reach 22 years of age.

The US is among the worst if not *the* worst for this issue. I think most countries simply tax you on what you make in the country or if you live there.

  9. all those suitcases full of money...

In all seriousness, I always had a wired question:

For all the years the J line has been working and living in Korea, they're all still Japanese citizens. Do foreign K-pop trainees get some kind of green card (American Residency Permit, allows you to live and work in the US w/o becoming an "American") to let them train for years on end?

  10.

Whatever they’re going through, if it’s something minor, fans.jype.com would prob not tell us.

If it’s something personal, fans.jype.com would prob not tell us either

If it’s something major, fans.jype.com would not tell us either

In conclusion, fans.jype.com will prob never tell us and we’ll never know. So we’re prob better off not knowing and just enjoy the dome tour fancams

This. I have to confess that I'm not sure what this whole airport incident you're all talking about is, but even for K-pop idols, TWICE shares enough with us as it is. If there is some kind of personal wound one of the members is going through the last thing anyone should want is to have them live it through the public eye. Shoot, there's probably things the members don't even know about/get involved with amongst themselves, so we really should do our best to smile, cheer, wave and support them as much as we can because that's all we can do....

....if it makes any ONCEs feel better: Sometimes the best thing we can do for someone we love is to serve as a distraction. Maybe as ONCE the best thing we can do for any member that's sad is to simply be happy ONCEs and hope that takes their mind off any one of the members problems once and a while.
