  1. If they got to choose where to go, I can't blame people for heading to Dance team because that'd give them a better chance to debut. In vocal, you'd go up against Yedam/Junkyu. I know everyone's upset with Seunghun but while I'm not a fan of his, he just wants to debut. If I were in his shoes, I would've thought that I had the best chance of winning onsite voting.
  2. That'd be some serious next level BS if YG didn't debut the winner of online AND onsite voting.
  3. The idea of 2 from rap, 2 from vocal, and 3 from dance doesn't make sense to me, lol. So, I'm choosing to ignore that info. I'm so happy Mashiho seems to be a lock for the group. He deserves it.
  4. Australia? Now I'm all the more curious to hear him speak more, lol. I did a quick search of Daniel Choi, and you're right! Goes to show how little I know. XD If he can speak some English that'd be good as well. Obviously it doesn't have to be a requirement, but it's certainly plus points if the group ends up with people who have the skill to do so.
  5. I'm curious about Yoonbin's level of English fluency. Yunseo's English was really quite good when he spoke to Jyunhao, but he's out of the running for the group. It's already been mentioned but having a capable English speaker is really beneficial nowadays. Not to go far, but surely a good reason as to why BP has so many international fans is because they have strong English speakers to connect with & provide fanservice.
  6. I need you on Twitter, I'm trying to slide into your DMs! Basically, I think Seunghun is back because YG is still thinking of debuting him and other Team A guys. I don't think he's sold on that lineup, but he wants to keep it as an option, and to do that, he needs Seunghun.
  7. Well, I wouldn't say it's false hope exactly. I think he just doesn't really know who he wants in the group just yet, so might as well keep all of the contenders until the end.
  8. I know some people are adamant that things are being played into Team A + whoever but I feel like Seunghun coming back is just YG's way of playing things safe.
  9. I think the voting is giving everyone extra anxiety because we don't know how the info will be used, lol. Considering that they didn't go for a straight up "one pick" situation, it would seem like YGE really do want to know what lineups people are interested in. If they're looking at the number of times someone shows up in a lineup, then that will benefit certain trainees more than others. Tbh I could go on about who I want to debut, but anyway, shout out to Yunseo, poor vongole pasta one dish who has gotten overlooked by a lot of people. :'(
  10. I don't think YG will surrender full lineup control over to fans. He's not that kind of guy. Ideal scenario, he picks a good majority of guys for the group (who are hopefully the people I like lmao) and then adds in popular members based on voting (ex. Hyunsuk). But in any case, I hope people keep voting for the Golden Lineup nonetheless. The end is near, it's gonna be a wild ride.
  11. Jennie out-trended New Year, it's time for SOMETHING! I'm surprised as hell, but wow, for the longest time I felt like they would match well...well, seems like they think so too, lol. Anyway, in my opinion, it's best to proceed with business as usual. It's not like there's much heat, and if there's more news to come, well, this will get buried in the news cycle. We wanna know about the next solo even though it'll likely be released in March due to the tour schedule, we wanna see Jennie in the next season of Michuri, and we just want to see things keep going. As for dating bans - especially within YG, yeah, I think those are BS. Of course people are discouraged from this or that, but at the end of the day, it seemed like just a topic for variety shows. Even without public knowledge of Jennie dating, YG management was sorely lacking. People seem eager to use her and will use her as a scapegoat, but we shouldn't let them do that. I'm excited to see the girls kick off their first real tour. I hope to see them achieve even more. I wish them the best, and of course, my fellow fans, the same as well. Cheers to 2019.
  12. Yunseo's English was quite good when he spoke to Jyunhao about changing their leader. His grammar + accent were pretty on point, so much so that I was surprised. It's a shame that he wasn't able to attract that much fans even though he's gotten a fairly decent shot at screentime. TT___TT </3 I hope in a few years he'll be able to develop a confidence/aura that can attract more fans. I think he has potential.
  13. I think people mean solo cams for the ep. 7 performances since those just came out on VLive. But hey, if there are more vids for the semi-finals...please share.
  14. Oh God, there's a Mashiho fansite named Mashmellow. I can't. Click here to view the Tweet
  15. I think I'd include him. Even with that video of his cover which blew up, I was kinda meh on him. He's grown a lot on me over the course of the show. I've grown to like his voice more, he performs well, and he seems like a sweet kid.
  16. Oof. If HaJeongwoo go home, that'd cause a meltdown. I see Keita (sadly) + someone as the likely variation... Err...idk tbh.
  17. Oh, I don't really think YG has "lost out" on a lot of trainees either, I can see why most were passed on, but it's rather new to me to see him emphasize the ones who've gotten away. I certainly agree that you can't just debut people because you're afraid of them leaving, but to cut things to the point, it comes down to the fact that I just really don't want Team A + extra, lol. There are lots of guys who are doing well now, who deserve a shot at debuting even though they don't have as much "history" as others. Junkyu is certainly core to the group now, he's made his way to that point and is very much deserving of it. But I see him differently to Yedam because he's not exactly someone that a group was built around. Well, YG's a control freak, and so far, while delivery has been poor (typical YG), I think his comments have been pretty on point. As much as I would wanna see a one-pick situation, I think he'll see to having most of the control when the stakes are highest... Fingers crossed everyone, may the odds be in our favor.
  18. K-fans continue to be savage in their own way, but in a way, are a somewhat aligned with what we've seen in I-fans. Not a lot of people (I think) really want to have a Team A lineup + extra. I haven't seen enough of K-fans, but based on what was previously shared, it seems there is something in common. People aren't keen on Team A + extra trainee/s. When it comes to K-fans, I really want to push for a "one-pick" vote (YG STAFF, LISTEN UP) because I want to see how much people are benefiting off of block votes and who's been successful in building a fandom. YG emphasizing the trainees that they've missed out on is pretty new. I'm used to hearing about that from JYP, lol, so let's hope that they're taking that into consideration this time around. I've seen the iKON comparison as well, and I agree, I don't think it's a good comparison for what the trainees are going through now either. It's obvious that YG likes Yedam, but it doesn't seem like the other Team A members are held in the same regard or are seen as being "core" to the group. I'll use BP as an example. From pre-debut, their concept was pretty set from the start. It was girl crush but feminine, so now it was all about finding trainees who could match that concept. The teams this time around are a lot less solid, they're more of a pool than an actual group. I doubt YG Silver Boys was going to go for something flower boy, but now, things have changed and it's obvious to see which trainees are struggling with this and that concept. Unless YG has something solid in mind for the next group (which I doubt, based on the fact that the trainees are a mixed bag), it's hard to keep training when you're uncertain about whether the group's "concept" is going to change any time soon, and whether you'll suddenly no longer have a place.
  19. Quick thoughts off of the top of my head, Yoonbin got a lot of screentime - a win for him really, especially since he's been on the edges of the top 10 with not much. Also, Junkyu is totally on the uphill. He's pretty much just as set for the group as Yedam is. And speaking of Yedam, could they stop with the "oh no Yedam might not make it" storyline. We all know that he's not going anywhere! Thanks for the numbers, always appreciated. ^^ The soonest that any other boy group will debut after this one will depend on other YG labels. Let's say The Black Label, for example. But for YG, I wouldn't expect one until maybe 3-4 years from now. The expectation that YG should "save" trainees for later is way too much for this industry, all the more for YGE, especially when there are a bunch of great trainees in the mix. Not every great trainee is in the same position as Yedam, and if they have something good that comes their way (which is highly likely), one can't fault them for taking that opportunity. Frankly, I wish that we'd get a "one pick" vote because I want to see how that would switch up ranks (especially for Team A members). VLive, like you said, just isn't reliable.
  20. YGE would be so different if YG paid more attention to backlash. ^^; But speaking of new vs. longtime trainees, I agree that you have to judge them differently. They're on different paths of their journey at this point, just like how it's different between an established vs. rookie artist. For a rookie, you need to make people pay attention to you in the first place, and for an established artist, you need to make sure that people keep paying attention. Speaking of Momo, I wouldn't be surprised if there's going to be a wildcard for those who get eliminated today. They're true babies, so many people born in the 2000s. Now I have faves who are actually younger than me. Mashiho is a really strong trainee, it's good that people appreciate that. Also...I just realized that Mashiho slips into speaking Japanese in the trailer, probably because of how upset his is about their stunt. OTL
  21. Man, I have a huge soft spot for Mashiho now. He's a really strong trainee, I hope he debuts.
  22. IDK if I'm mistaking you guys for other people, but trivia & green, it's nice to see you guys again. I've caught up on all of the episodes, and I'm definitely not in the Team A + extra trainee camp. I haven't followed the male trainees until now, so that's the perspective I'm coming from, and I feel like YG should debut 6/7 trainees. But anyway, my solid top 5 are the following - Yedam, Junkyu, Haruto, Mashiho, and Jeongwoo. Judging on his screentime, Hyunsuk is like 99% likely to debut. I can see his appeal, but I'm not really fully sold on him. I like him enough though, and I think he'd be a strong addition in terms of bringing in leadership. Unfortunately, I'm even less sold on Byounggon and Seunghun. If I rank the two of them, I'd do Seunghun >>> Byounggon. :\ As for other trainee who I like, I'd include Yoonbin, Yunseo and Yeonggue. Considering how little he has trained, Yoonbin is really good, and he's actually doing pretty well with making an impression on people considering how little screentime he gets. However, if both Haruto + Hyunsuk are making it into the group, not sure if YG will throw in a third rapper...but he could. Yeonggue has a really nice voice, more of a traditional vocal type compared to the others. I think the same of Vongole Pasta One Dish Yunseo.
  23. In the end, I have caved. I'm watching all of the YG Treasure Box episodes now. And since I had some time to kill today, I decided to check out VLive channel rankings. I feel like it's more reliable than that other voting thing that's going on. I don't think that I missed out on anyone, but this is the Top 10 for now. 1. Yedam - 67,816 2. Junkyu - 50,588 3. Hyunsuk - 48,862 4. Haruto - 47,378 5. Byounggon - 29,674 6. Jeongwoo - 27,505 7. Seunghun 26,682 8. Doyoung - 22,317 9. Mashiho - 20,752 10. Jyunhao - 16,111
