  1. The styling for this American promo has been very early 2000's.  They reminded me of Christina Aguilera back when she debuted and looked super skinny.

Anyway are they attending any fashion week shows? Maybe a shoot with magazines like Vogue, V or W?

Coach was yesterday, so that's a pass. I think Lisa attended Michael Kors last time? That's today (in American time). Not sure if she will attend since there's been no press about it.

They'll be flying to Singapore today as well, so maybe there's nothing scheduled anymore.

    This hair was lowkey iconic.

Hmm I must say Haruto seems like a great dancer when I watched his old training videos, but when I watched Going Crazy cam I wasn't impressed with his dance. I hope the sudden growth spurt didn't fuck up his moves and it was just an off-day for him.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if it's affected him in some way, lol. He went from being around Mashiho's height to towering over him.

  3. For me, the main problem is the lack of songs rather than an actual full album, so I welcome them releasing a mini album. It's more than I expected, for sure. If it has more than four songs, then it's a blessing, lmao. I'd like to think that this is really happening because March is next month, so they have to be preparing for that now.

At the end of the day, if they released more mini albums (and had more comebacks) then there's not much of a need for a full album. Just to compare, but BIGBANG barely has any full albums in Korea, and the ones that they released have remixes/songs from their mini albums. And really, I think rather than pinning it down to people wanting a full album, people just want more content.

  4. Brand loyalty is not something YGE is strong at, along with a lot of other things.

While I don't think that this new group is something that they just decided today, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided on it while Treasure Box was ongoing. But anyway, in terms of lineup...I just need Mashiho and Yoonbin. If I had to provide an ideal lineup though, I think I'd go for something like this:

    Mashiho

    Yoonbin

    Jihoon

    Keita

Then for the rest, I'd put Doyoung/Jyunhao/Yeonggue/Yunseo/Yoshinori for consideration.

  5. The vocal pre-debut mob will move on eventually.

Honestly I just think of the people who were rabid about Jinny Park and how she wasn't going to debut in BP. They kicked up a fuss, but when it actually became time to show up for her, they were absent. It doesn't seem like K-viewers are upset about the lack of Team A, and I'd say that YG likely values their opinion matters more.

  6. I'm so mad though... Mashiho really can just win everything and build a solid fanbase from getting barely any screen time to the point he's ranked well on social media as well... yet YG might just selfishly ship him off to Japan when he has literally every right to debut from his performances and drive and popularity. That's unfair to the point it's insane

I think it'd be ridiculous for someone who won onsite voting to not debut. YG can be questionable as hell, but that'd really take the cake. Frankly, I think that they prioritized Junghwan because it's shock factor, which it is. Look at all of the people talking about Treasure Box now. It's going to last a while.

  7. I understand, but I honestly can't stop feeling the way I do about this. And it's not even his fault, YG was planning this since the beginning when he eliminated him and brought him back.

I don't think it's wrong to feel iffy about it. Personally I would've preferred if he'd competed in vocal team as well. But even though I don't like it, well, I understand why he chose (if he really did get to choose) to compete in dance.

Yes, but Seunghun and Mashiho are the ones with the biggest fandoms in the dance team, they have no competition, Jeongwoo had.

Yeah they do, but even then, surely the other guys still have stans that will vote for them and that will still take away votes. I think it's possible that Doyoung will get a good chunk, he'll split some Team A votes with Seunghun at the least. He has a good amount of VLive followers and isn't as popular with I-fans (outside of pre-debut fans) considering his lack of screentime. I think that Junghwan could probably take some away as well.

  8. Thank you for being objective.

Sure. I'm not even a fan Seunghun's but I just felt like it had to be said.

Now that I think about it though, I actually think that Jeongwoo might be better off being in vocal (if they're really going to take voting in consideration, and it's not just there for the sake of being there). After all, there are only 3 guys, and they get to split 600 votes. Dance team is splitting up 600 votes with 5 people.

  9. how come he always ends up choosing the easiest opponents? not a good look

It's being realistic, and I don't blame him. It's only natural for people to choose the "easiest" path to success, especially when the stakes are highest. We may not be trying to be idols but I don't doubt that we make similar choices on a regular basis.
