your initial comparison with china do not make sense.
you're mad because a few private companies are blocking certain people (not the entire party and/or it's supporters by the way...)
No, it's not the point. The initial comparison makes plenty of sense. I've lived there. I know what it's like to walk on pins and needles about what you say because you might face repercussions. I know what it's like to have to keep your opinions and thoughts secret. The only difference is that China will arrest you. Here, private companies band together to effectively silence your voice and discredit you so that you can't be part of mainstream society. That is censorship.
It's not a few private companies. Google and Apple control the vast, vast, vast majority of smartphone access for most Americans, and they're preventing people from expressing their voices on Parler. Twitter, Reddit, Facebook--these are three of the largest social media platforms, and they're working to ensure that some information does not get out. When an alternative for the right does pop up, it's banned by Google and Apple. This is monopolistic censorship.

tho i doubt twitter would do such foolish thing, unless they want to go bankrupt lol ><
Do you support Verizon listening to calls and shutting off service for anyone who supports Biden?

You still have voice. (e.g. Right now you're using OH...)
There are other ways to use your voice. Other platforms.
In general, freedom of speech is not limited to just major social network sites.
Heck sns didn't even exist back when the amendment was being drafted lol ><
That's not the point. I'm using onehallyu, but that's not comparable. If the largest platforms are ACTIVELY reserved for those with one opinion, that's silencing those who want to be able to engage in the modern world. Your voice does not matter. There's no equal weight.
Regulating large companies like this is a LIBERAL idea by the way. Monopolies were busted up by Progressives. These tech companies have a monopoly when acting in unison like this. If Google and Apple block apps where conservative views can be shared, and if Twitter and Facebook are banning influential conservative figures/groups, that's silencing freedom of speech and should be stopped.

Exactly. They gave their reasons for banning him and other groups. If you don't want to support then don't use those platforms.
The reality is that there aren't other alternatives. And when other alternatives come about--Parler--they are blocked by Google and Apple. You DON'T have another option but to use these. It's not a level playing field. That's actively infringing on someone's freedom of speech. Again, there's a reason why your phone company doesn't listen into your phone calls, and I can 100% guarantee you that if Verizon were to cut your cell service for being a Biden supporter, you wouldn't just say, "Well, let's go with T-Mobile." Imagine if they ALL did that. You would be significantly disadvantaged. Your voice would be stifled.

again, still nowhere near the same.
government vs. citizen
citizen vs. citizen
private companies have certain rights to do what they want with their platforms in order to keep the peace. people don't have to use or support these platforms.
That's a distinction without merit in this instance.
If you're not allowed to express your opinions on Facebook, Twitter, and other major social media companies, you don't have a voice in today's world. If your phone calls were being monitored by your cellphone company, you would cry censorship. What if I said, "Well, you don't have to use your phone?" That's just not how it works. Or if I said, "Don't like your pay? Find a different job." That's just not how it works in the real world. These are massive communication platforms that are used to push public opinion. If they are one-sided, that IS censorship.

it's significantly different, in my opinion....
a whole country blocking it's citizens freedoms vs. a private company blocking trump (trump who choose to use the platform)
yea apparently he had a channel with some videos on there o.o
i guess his son or soemthing set it up idk lol
It's not just Trump. His subreddit being deleted. Parler being threatened by Apple. Google just dropped it from the Play Store. The WalkAway movement being removed from Facebook. They are trying to silence many voices.
We had BLM and ANTIFA activists standing in front of burning buildings with signs that read NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE! over the summer. They weren't banned. Kathy Griffin has a tweet right now telling Sean Hannity to watch out for the "beheader"--meaning her. I'm sure you remember when she held up a severed replica of Trump's bloody head. Where was the call to end violence then? When Obama was talking about police brutality and five officers were shot in Dallas, why weren't those comments censored? When officers were shot while sitting in their car this year, why wasn't the anti-police rhetoric blamed? Why is it that this only matters when it's those on the right?
Could you imagine if your phone company suspended your phone service because they didn't like what you said over the line? These social media platforms are the modern-day equivalents of telephone companies and need regulation to prevent them from silencing large swaths of the population.

I’m curious what you think about the election. Was it stolen from Trump with fake votes?
There's a lot of smoke, but I'm not going to say yes. I think it's reasonable to say Trump alienated some supporters, that African-American turnout (specifically in GA) influenced the election, that an increased number of transplants into Georgia flipped it, etc. The Rust Belt has been traditionally blue, and it's not outside the realm of reason that those states that Trump flipped in 2016 had increased Democrat turnout because many probably stayed home in 2016 because they just assumed they would go blue.
I'm the editor of a small-town newspaper, and my county had a 15% drop in voter turnout from November to the special January election. That's what did Loeffler and Perdue in, and Trump's voter fraud narrative (whether right or wrong) had a lot to do with that. The Republican party is in tatters right now.

No matter what side you're on, you should find it very disturbing that tech companies are blatantly censoring Trump/Trump supporters right now. This is China-esque censorship, but instead of being done by the government, private companies are doing it. Absolutely ridiculous and the same justification that the Chinese use. Dangerous precedent.

At least I will deal with it, unlock you over the last four, lol. Unlike you, I'm a reasonable person. I'm keeping an open mind moving into the next administration. Hoping for the best. Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong by the next administration being amazing because I want what's best for the country.

In a statement strongly condemning yesterday's violence, President Donald Trump admitted that Biden will take office later this month and called for a peaceful transition of power.

Fake news.
Trump literally just released a statement calling for a peaceful transition of power and condemning the violence yesterday.

And now that Iraq wants him, he will definitely feel inclined to start a war with them. He has two weeks left unless they get him out now.
Trump's had a better foreign policy record in the Middle East than the last few administrations put together.

I'm still not over the "believe all women" Democrats voting for a man accused by his ex-wife of abusing her.
That being said, I had the opportunity to meet Loeffler, Perdue, and Ossoff. Ossoff and his campaign staff were both exceedingly rude. The man couldn't even be bothered to have a US flag at his rally here, which is sad. Perdue was okay. Loeffler & co. were extremely friendly.

Trump asked for peaceful protesting but he did nothing even close to condemning the violence, and every time he did he threw in more lies about the stolen election which just completely undermined it anyways since that's what was fueling those people to storm the capitol. I think it's pretty obvious by this point that there is literally nothing anyone can say or do to make these people calm down or behave in a reasonable manner. And let's not forget that Trump has literally broken all the rules of these social media platforms countless times and the only reason he wasn't banned years ago is because he's the President.
He told them to go home peacefully, said that they were the party of law and order, and to respect the police officers there. He told them to stop because he didn't approve of it. It's not true that he mentioned the election fraud narrative every time, by the way. He did in his video message. That's his story. Fine. Whatever. But that doesn't mean he's giving them a pass or undermining his message to stop. That's like saying that leaders who expressed sympathy for BLM while condemning the violence were fueling the violence.
But that's not even the main point here. The main point here is that I think this is going to make people even angrier. Now THAT will fuel the fire. Most people don't like being oppressed or silenced, and that's exactly how they are going to feel.

Not a good move in my opinion. Trump did condemn the violence yesterday--three times I think. But more importantly, I think this is just going to make those people angrier. Their whole thing is that they're being oppressed--and censoring the POTUS who they already think was wronged won't work to calm them down.

I don't mean that the flaw comes with her singing with an overly chesty approach. But because she's not singing with good enough breath support and did not train her voice to properly handle such an approach, her singing with a very chesty approach only caused her to sound more strained than if she had used a lighter approach, like the previous video. It was overly chesty for her and it caused her to be unrelaxed throughout.
I would say it would be equally unsupported, just less noticeable, but I see what you're saying! That makes sense.

NO shit Not that kid trying to build a cult on some discord or what not , he was begging for lara notes from fabian fan guy which i gave most of and corrected basically 90% of his older videos ....ughh why are kids this messy this days i can't , the kid give extra point to mori, ariana and all those not that great not that technical vocalists and ended up having lara below them !! the fuck how that logical
Does he really think his CVT bs sys is legit and people will use it LMAO ????
How ironic when this thread actually built a cult around a BS vocal-ranking system and then denigrated anyone who didn't buy into it. (Even more ironic that people like you have started following a guy who also doesn't believe in the system.) We still have some people here trying to use it to split hairs to rank vocalists, many of whom aren't even serious vocalists. Honestly, I don't agree with a lot about Camden's system, but at least it accurately puts Barbra toward the top. I don't think any system like this will ever be accurate. They're childish to a degree--which is honestly probably why Ahmin moved away from this one. I think we've seen from discussions in this thread that it becomes really hard to rank vocalists because people will always shift the standard or what they're comparing to. And even if the system is accurate, it doesn't mean that the people who are using it have the ears to accurately use it. That's why we end up with systems that rank Whitney, Natalie, Sohyang, Lara, and Mariah all at the top when none of them have a similar approach or even level of development throughout their ranges. Or then, vocalists who do have similar styles--i.e. Whitney, LSH, OJH--get ranked very far apart when they're much more similar than people want to admit. And that's all going without saying that none of them really belong at the top to begin with.
Ultimately, though, it's just not a good look to be attacking a kid like that. You can disagree with his system, but you have a tendency to be nasty to people.
7 hours ago, ZRH23 said:I've been searching for some of their live materials. Their main vocal has a chesty tone, kinda like Ailee sometimes. She's either a very chesty soprano or a mezzo tbh.
The editing has got me rolling LMAO. It reminds me a lot of cheesy classic rock from the 80s/90s. I'm more inclined with her being a soprano with some inconsistent placement for now. @0.37, she sounds lighter, more natural here. Her support isn't that strong tbh. @1.14, hear how this whole line is suddenly sung with a low larynx? Tension throughout. @2.13, the Bb4 wasn't bad but the F#4 after that has that weird placement again. @2.20, G#4 not bad but I honestly think that she hasn't got much proper support. There's a degree of throatiness throughout.
She's singing with some overly chesty approach throughout, she was never really relaxed enough to carry much support. She reminds me of Jessi.
You can, just click on their profile and there should be a button there. I am not sure what following people does here though.
It sounds more live but it still could have been pre-recorded. I am honestly tired of hearing this song from them lol. I wouldn't say there's anything conclusive from this clip. They need more material ASAP. Somebody better give NingNing some OSTs, I thought it was like a tradition for new SM main vocals to have some OSTs when they debut XD.
No, I wouldn't say her support is weak. She is just singing a little lighter than usual here but the breath support is still there. @010, G#4 was alright, Bb4 could've been better. @0.15, she's being very quiet around her low notes, like A3/G#3 ish. @0.24, that phrased note (A4/Bb4 ish?) was much nicer, I like that.
I wouldn't say she's singing overly chesty at all. She's just not singing well. She is a soprano, though.

Anybody in AA in general is better than JeA lmao she's the bare minimum imo. I'd say Solji has a better chest voice than Minkyung, and I've heard similar moments between them around C5/C#5. Overall I do think Solji has a better approach.
Lol, that's fine. I'm not trying to argue anything. Just honestly think she's worth discussing.

No, it's not the point. I gave you several concrete examples of things that are happening right now. I'm telling you how it's censorship. You're totally missing the point. I don't think you're even trying to understand it. This isn't a narrative. This is reality. It's happening right now, and you'd have to be blind to not realize it. You just don't think it's a problem because it's not affecting YOU. That's all this is. Absolutely ridiculous to say I'm making excuses. You're usually pretty reasonable, but that was just a moronic thing to say. Respond to the argument. I've given you detail. Stop repeating yourself and actually say something of value.
