I didn't say anything that anyone else hasn't said before, but I got argued with for it. I could just as easily say that y'all argue a lot, too, but I'm not. I enjoy the vocal discussion on here, and that's why I'm here.
-
You're really defensive. I didn't say anything about not liking y'all. I simply said I thought some of what SOME of y'all do is hypocritical. Had nothing to do with y'all. And, I find some of the discussion interesting. That's why I'm here.

I've seen people drop 3-4 videos at a time before, though, and it's just about every new performance almost. You know it's true. Elolery was SURPRISED no one put the new one in yet. I'm just saying it should work both ways for every vocalist. It's a great performance, and it was good to listen at times, but it didn't show anything new about her. I just think it's hypocritical is all.

I'm not attacking you, but this is REALLY hypocritical to me. When other people post a lot of SNSD videos or Hyorin videos, etc, they're told to stop stanning because they aren't generating vocal discussion. LSH videos were told to stop being posted because everyone knew she had ability, so it didn't generate vocal discussion. But, people do it ALL THE TIME with SoHyang. I could see it if she suddenly started having tremendous improvements in her lower register or maybe belted a great D6 that changed her belting range as everyone knew it--that'd be something to consider. But simply posting videos of SH where she's not demonstrating any new ability just feels like it's the same thing people have said not to do. Everyone knows SoHyang has ability, but unless the videos are showing some change in it, I don't see a point in them being posted. I could just as easily post a bunch of Babs or Bey, but it wouldn't generate any discussion, and they're both considered to be excellent vocalists.

Whatever. You're just wrong to call me out and have nothing to say about it.

How am I starting by answering a question?? I wasn't the one who brought it up, and someone asked a comparative question. Would it be starting if I said SH were better like the poster? No, I guess not. That's not starting. If you want to say, "I believe SoHyang is better because xyz," fine, but don't act like I'm starting something by answering a question. It's just my opinion on it.

Sumi Jo is certainly the best in Korea, but that's not really a fair/appropriate comparison as her training is different. But, she can definitely do the most vocally. SH is not better than LSH now and certainly not better than LSH in her prime. If anything they are about even now, but while SH has hv, upper, and mid, her lower is not that good. LSH's upper isn't as good as SH's, but if one considers that her weakest register, it's still better than SoHyang's lower register.

So, y'all, I need some advice. My boyfriend left me five months ago now without warning and deleted me from everything. Any attempt at contact was ignored. I still really miss him, though. TT I got another boyfriend about a month ago, and I can see he really cares about me, and I like him, and he usually makes me feel happy, but I still really want my ex back and would go back to him if I had the opportunity. Does that mean I'm not caring about my current partner enough? It's not like I don't love him, but it's different, and as soon as we're not in contact for the day, my thoughts go back to my ex. I don't know what to do. -

It's amazing how young her voice still sounds at 50. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mahjyWN85Gw And, it's her birthday today~~

Ahh, I see. Thank you.
-
Ah~ Yeah, I noticed it wasn't quite as projected as the G3, but I didn't sense that it was ghostly~ But, yeah, it doesn't surprise me. Thanks ^_^
-
Awwww What was wrong with it? It thought it was okay-ish. But thanks~@@ Her bottom note is C3, by the way. But, I think E3 is the lowest I've ever heard her support really well, and that was twelve years ago now.
-
Noooooo, not without years and years of proper training.
-
Can anyone help me with the notes between 1:55-ish and 1:58-ish? Thanks, y'all.
-
nooo I mean like my ears are so bad that everything in the lower register always sounds lower than it really is. Not just those in particular. TT
-
I see~ Thanks for the help. They just sounded a lot lower in comparison to other G3's I've heard, etc. I don't know why. I guess my ears are just too bad.

http://blog.naver.com/psoohyun5/110187079209 Can anyone help me with the note around 1:11-ish? Sorry for the link. There's gonna be sound other than the video because there's music on the blog, but to my knowledge, the video isn't on YouTube. It's just a vocalization. Sorry to ask, but I don't have an ear for anything not in the 5th octave or up. I can generally compare upper-register notes to a piano pretty well, but I have a hard time telling pitch in lower to mid registers. Is that normal?

KOREA'S BEST (POP) DIVA ... ì´ì„ í¬. Well, in Korea, she's considered THE diva, but Sumi Jo is a diva in a more literal sense, I guess.
-
As far as technique, it's still really good, but her upper notes aren't as clear-sounding because of her age. She still hits and sustains them, but her notes in 1987 were just absolutely beautiful. Her mid register has improved in the richness of its tone, I think.
