Cool. So he can go around calling himself a Nobel Peace Prize Nominee I guess. Too bad this isn't the fucking Oscars and no one gives a damn what he was spuriously and undeservedly nominated for. Bottom line, he has nothing to show for it.

You're not for any of these politicians? Your uncanny impression of a Trump supporter says otherwise and your lies are duly noted. Don't stoke the flames if you can't take the heat. Encouraging civil unrest isn't up for debate.

Trump's nominations are for 2021, so we'll see about that. But the point is exactly that he has MUCH to show for it. More than Obama did. Obama is the one who has absolutely nothing to show for it.

Being born into a very wealthy family with a business empire helps. But I'm not here to argue his intelligence. He had close to 0 political experience however, and his behaviour is not what I'd describe as diplomatic. And rioting I'd say hasn't been political from a left-right perspective but rather about race relations and policing. The riots did not happen because people were opposed to lowered taxes, it's because they felt targeted by society in general and the police in particular.

Trump was born into a millionaire family and became a multi-billionaire. That's a completely different level of wealth.

No, the left has made identity politics/policing a political issue.

Obama already has one. So where's Trump's, for all these so-called "significant achievements" ? Did it get lost in the mail? 🤭

You're always the ones threatening war. Come and get me, big boy.

What were Obama's significant peace achievements? Trump has received four nominations for Nobel Peace Prizes since these historic peace deals were signed. Whether you can comprehend their significance or not is irrelevant.

I did not vote for him. I am not American, but my country is sadly directly affected by whomever is selected POTUS.

Now, you're under the mistaken impression that we're in love with Biden. Let me spell it for you: WE ARE NOT. If this election showed one thing, it is that people can band and organize to make change happen; what we're hoping for is that Americans can retain that attitude in the upcoming term to push Biden (who -whether you can admit it to yourself or not- has more brains that Trump can ever hope to have), and push him to do right.

For now though, and what you're willfully overlooking in order to keep stirring shit, is that people WILL celebrate a facist being taken down. And if anyone is going to start a civil war, it is the mindless and racist far right groups that cannot stand their asses not being filled with Trump's dick. That will not be on democrats' shoulders no matter how you or they try to spin it.

Trump is not a fascist, and it's the left that's been largely violent over the past year to the point that businesses were boarded up to protect them should Trump win re-election.

I wouldn't say Biden has more brains than Trump either, especially not in his current condition. Like him or not, Trump is highly intelligent and competent. You don't become a billionaire by chance.

From what I've heard he's been more of a hindrance for the international policy of the administration. I will also say that a lot of the peace deals and talks are not that significant, especially with regards to North Korea. But I would like Biden to be careful around international conflicts. And to make serious environmental commitments.

The reality is that he's the one directing the policy and hiring staffers and individuals who can make it happen. That's what leaders do, and he deserves credit for it.

Of course they are significant, and if Obama had made them, he would have earned his Nobel Peace Prize.

I would love to see Biden not get us stuck in international conflicts, too (which I'm not saying is a Democrat problem. Both parties have had major issues with this until Trump). I'd also love for him to be tough on China, but I doubt he will.

Should the election call stand and Biden wins, I'm going to give him a chance and enter the administration with an open mind and pray that he surprises me.

I'm not so sure I'd credit Trump for any international achievements. By all accounts he has been very incompetent personally and his staff have had to do a lot of heavy lifting by handling his impulsiveness and lack of planning. Now that is not to say that everything he's done is objectively bad. Conservatives will enjoy his policies against abortion and gun control, the filling the pockets of the rich and the special relation with Israel. Which is why a lot of them ignore his very blatant flaws. And a lot of his supporters vote for him as he has enabled their bigotry.

Of course you can credit Trump for it because he's the one getting it done. This is just trying to not credit him with anything. I'm not going down the bigotry rabbit hole because I don't buy that he's bigoted or that that's why people like him. That's a distraction from his true accomplishments, which have included historic peace deals in the Middle East, the containing of China as a hostile superpower, keeping US troops out of new foreign conflicts, etc.

I've been talking to one of my Chinese friends who's currently studying in France to get his PhD. He was expressing his concern that Biden won't keep the pressure on China and that we could see China overtake the West should Biden loosen restrictions on student/exchange visas, tariffs, etc. that Trump has used to successfully curtail China's rise. Remember, this is a country with a million Muslims in concentration camps.

Nah, Biden for president will improve our international relationships after Trump utterly decimated them.

Sure, it's not going to be a revolutionary presidential term. Even as a hardcore progressive I literally hope it won't be- we need someone moderate in charge to reduce the tensions between communities at home.

Biden and Kamala are no angels, but Trump set the bar EXTREMELY low for competence. Pretty much any candidate will be better than him.

Don't forget that Trump's COVID strategy was to continue denying its severity even after he caught the damn disease and had to be rushed to the greatest medical care center in the country. The bar is so, so, so low... it's incredibly easy for Biden to meet and exceed those standards.

Trump actually did a lot of good in his four years, including building relationships. He strengthened ties with Israel, worked to secure peace deals in the Middle East, forged ties in North Korea to diminish China's influence in the region, strengthened ties with Japan, renegotiated trade deals with Canada, Mexico, and China, and got NATO record amounts of funding.

That being said, I do agree that a Biden presidency probably won't be the end of the world like many conservatives believe--and that's coming from a hardcore Trump supporter. I think if Biden had all of his faculties wouldn't be a terrible candidate, but the fact that he's obviously not all there does worry me. As the other person noted, he does have other issues that should concern everyone--including multiple racist statements made in the past year alone.

That actually wasn't Trump's COVID strategy.

    BIDEN 2024

And a lot of self projection here huh, calling other people stupid for disagreeing? Really funny coming from the same person screaming "Voter Fraud" when there has been basically 0 substantial proof of it.

Call us stupid or dumb or whatever. At the end of the day,  Biden has most likely won and that's all that matters, not some rando rambling on about  controversy and politics on a FORUM DEDICATED TO KPOP

This is nonsense. I'm calling a person stupid because they are being stupid and a horrible person. That's not projecting at all, lol. We will see where the voter fraud goes, but I don't think I've once made a case for major voter fraud here, especially after election.

The second half of this is laughable. This thread is dedicated to the ELECTION. If you don't like that, complain about the person who started this on a Kpop forum, not the people who are commenting on it--which you're also doing.

    You're a Trump supporter.

As always, another stupid response because you simply aren't as smart as you think you are. You're just not smart at all. Literally everything you say has to be something vile and nasty, and the best you can say is that I'm a Trump supporter. What a moron.

Stop being dense. The point isn't that you're pointing out that people will die. The point is that you're pointing out that they will die in a celebratory manner because it benefits you politically. Now stop playing dumb (well, you really are pretty dumb). You're just an incredibly gross and immature person, and someone did an absolutely terrible job at raising you. You're an embarrassment.

Lol, it's not being a snowflake to point out how despicable that is. It's just you not being a decent human being which I wouldn't care about except for the fact that it's people like you who are constantly trying to take a moral high ground while holding so much hate and contempt for others. It's just disgusting.

Don't get too comfortable with the idea of Florida being anything but a swing state. With the exception of the urban areas that already vote blue anyway, Florida is one big waiting room. There's no telling how many elderly conservatives will have their names called before the next election.

And now back to the nearly concluded election (that will be held up in bogus legal battles for months by a 70-year-old toddler.) Viva Las Vegas!

The fact that your'e waiting for people to die just so it benefits you politically is sickening and sadly not surprising.

The race is close, regardless who wins, what have we learned so far? I’ll start (even though this was obvious before the election it bears repeating):

    • Hispanic people are diverse, they come from different countries, have experienced different lifestyles in the US, based on their state, class, urban/suburban/rural divide etc. They are not a single voting block and treating them as such is stupid.

Trump got quite a high share of minority votes from what I've seen. Really high for a President who has routinely been called racist.

I think we learned Texas and Florida are pretty red and that the reliably-blue Rust Belt vote might be just that--reliably blue.

You're grasping at straws. Those laws never would have gone into effect without the Supreme Court deciding they should. But it's nice to know you're able to take one of their past decisions for granted while most people on your side of the political aisle would love nothing more than to see it overturned and your rights denied.

I'm not grasping at straws. I'm literally telling you how the system works. It's your failure to understand basic civics that the legislative branch creates laws and the judiciary either upholds or doesn't uphold them based on the Constitution and past precedent.

  15. 34 minutes ago, Jikrytae said:

As usual, you have trouble grasping basic concepts such as precedent. What do you think happens when a case goes before the Supreme Court and a judgment is made? Do you think everything stays the same as before, just because they aren't part of the legislative branch? If there's already a concrete law for everything, why do we even need the Supreme Court to decide anything? Why not just remind everyone of the law and tell them to be on their merry way without the need for a court case? I guess Supreme Court judgments never led to the legalization of abortion or gay marriage, so you conservatives can just stop worrying about those. They aren't real laws, right? 🤦‍♂️

Lol, I understand precedent. That's not the same thing as creating laws. The Supreme Court decides if laws are constitutional. It doesn't create laws.

The Supreme Court never created a law legalizing gay marriage or abortion. I'm gay and married, so I'm more than happy they ruled that we have the right to marry, but they didn't create a law to do so.

She's a weird ultra-conservative cultist, so yes, it's very bad. And I don't mean that in the wider "The Republican Party has turned into a cult" sense. I mean she's literally a member of a religious cult.

One of the Supreme Court's biggest responsibilities is to essentially create laws where necessary, based on the Constitution and any other previous precedent. The problem is, there's really no one to stop them from just deciding however they please once they're on the bench. They can only be vetoed by a majority vote of their fellow justices, and a majority of the justices are now conservatives, who've shown a penchant for completely ignoring the Constitution's authority.

The job of the judiciary is not to create laws. That's the job of the legislative branch.

I'm not american and I have no idea about american politician, is this bad?

ACB is really highly qualified and by all accounts a very brilliant legal scholar. She's pledged to be an impartial judge who decides cases not on her own personal views/religion, but on the text of the Constitution. By all means, that sounds like a great choice for the Supreme Court.

Her confirmation was a bit controversial because Republicans denied Obama's appointee in 2016 a hearing because they said the voters should decide in the election. Obama nominated Garland in February. The election was in November, so there was plenty of time, but the Senate is the body of Congress to vote on confirming Supreme Court justices, and the Senate was Republican, and Obama was a Democrat, so basically the Senate played politics and kept Obama's appointee from being nominated. Fast forward four years and RGB unfortunately passed away and the same Republican senate pushed through Trump's appointee very quickly, which made the left understandably mad.

All that said ,some on the left have taken this as an excuse to bash ACB for her religion, etc. when there's no evidence to suggest that she's going to decide cases based on her religious leanings. She served as a clerk under a previous Supreme Court justice and has been widely praised as a Constitutional scholar who had bipartisan support when she was confirmed to a lower court.

  18. The US Senate confirms Amy Coney Barrett as an Associate Justice on the US Supreme Court by a vote of 52-48.

    From Fox News:

    Quote

The Senate voted 52-48 on Monday night to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in a move that makes the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals judge and Notre Dame law professor the third appointment to the high court by President Trump, solidifying his administration's legacy even further just a week before Election Day as he seeks a second term.

So does feet. Not everyone finds the breasts to be sexual.

Most love butts especially twerking, it gets sexual responses from people. But when I look butts, I don't see any sexual about it.

All depends on what people find sexual. And MOST people find the breast to be sexual; to the point where they avoid/ignore the orginal purpose of breast i.e breastfeeding!

Exactly. Most people feel that way, but it's not them sexualizing breasts. Breasts are sexual across the world, just like other parts of the body we (as in society) ask to be covered.
