Music core had hot 3 but seems like they changed the system few weeks ago. Am not sure what are their standards for a win though.

i don't remember caring much about who won #1 a couple of years ago and i was so much better off for it ugh... after joining kpop forums i almost can't even enjoy Lovelyz' releases as much because i'm always at the edge of my seat. : (
it'd be better if they were indie artists or something, i never felt like this way back when i was a young innocent maiden who casually listened to jpop and video game music... now it is all about sales and charting and winning and i'm not the competitive type so this is a little overwhelming for me. Even groups who won #1 multiple times have been disbanding within the past year... almost as if it doesn't matter because the market is becoming more and more competitive, people are acting like their favorite groups and members are set for life after winning number 1 or starting their acting/modeling/variety/music career like Taeyeon or Yoona or Heechul... but how many people have that chance? Very few people have longevity and it almost seems random as to who will remain in the industry because we have essamples of people who were part of groups who won #1 who dropped off of the face of the planet and those who never won who are still active today.
Most groups have a set time for their contracts, if Lovelyz is successful or unsuccessful does it really matter if they're not at the top? i don't feel like it will change their contract length and the members will probably tire of being in this industry and atmosphere regardless of how well they do... and if they became the nation's girl group wouldn't the fame change who they are and why we love them so much? Is any of this worth it? Are we all wasting our time? Very few groups stick around after 5-7 years and those who do are either largely inactive or have had lineup changes or both...
i mean i voted for them and bought their music and do all i can... but i hate this feeling of "if they don't win #1 it wasn't worth it" because i do still love their music regardless and them as idols. i just don't know if i can do this anymore you guys, i want to be able to focus on my own life too i'm more than just a lovelinus i'm also a daughter, a sister, a dancer, a beautifl, a dreamer, etc... this atmosphere just isn't doing me any favors but there is still something sickly addictive about it and that is why i am still here and i do not like it omg!! : (

I believe Lovelinus are mostly worried for a win because of the girls themselves. The girls really really want to win 1st place themselves,they keep talking about it. I have read lot's of interviews/showcase talks etc from other girl groups and Lovelyz was one of the groups that it's members keep mentioning a first win more than others. Idk if the pressure is coming from woollim or the girls are themselves uncomfortable. Most probably they are receiving a pressure from public. They are Woollim's long awaited first girl group,sister group of infinite who got huge with their own sweat and blood. So I can understand if why they are a bit uncomfortable about not winning 1st until now. On the other hand,I know it's a really sick and dirty side of industry but wonder if you see how differently the public,even MCs of radio shows and other programs treat groups after they win 1st place. We all know Lovelyz can bring money. They sell almost same amount of albums as some top groups and have good amount of CFs.If I vote for them or stream the song is only because of our members themselves.

BTW,just wanted to ask something. Only because have good amount of votes it doesn't mean they are going to reach a win. I am pretty sure many groups won 1st place in M countdown even though they were in 4th or even 5th place of pre-voting. Music shows specially Inkigayo and M countdown are actually a digital showdown these days and fandom's voting power and even physical sales barely affect a group. Is there a way I can help the streaming mass of the song on MelOn? I mean can I-fans help at all?

Mediocre song oh nice to hear that. When they released destiny and wow netizens weren't happy and were asking for something bright like Ah-choo and Hi. This song suits Korea's taste. I may not like the song as much as I love destiny but as long as it suits Korea's taste I will be happy. And it's not mediocre at all.

Many girl groups are dreaming be be in Lovelyz' position but let's forget it for a sec and ask yourself...now what if they don't win one or chart high?Are you supporting them because of success only? Other than charts and sales there are thousands of other things related to lovelyz that you can check out and enjoy.

No it won't?It's doing pretty similar to WOW. The only thing is that WOW debuted higher because they released it before charting system change.But wow was also charting around 50-70 for the first week.They are charting fine and they have potential to rise too because the song is bright.

Please don't bring other groups to the official thread it can bring serious trouble to us and our thread. Also,as someone who has discussed about that group doing sajaegi several times I still have to say,don't say "Their company did sajaegi" this easily on this thread. Since it's still not completely proved we can talk about it on related threads but not here.
