I don't think they're necessarily trolls (except when it's obvious, or maybe I'm too naïve), because I know many of us have "less commonly discussed opinions" or "unpopular opinions" (ugh, hate that term but I don't know how to say it in English in a way that is clear what I mean). In my case, I don't consider that replying to them is entertaining them or whatever. It's just that I don't normally feel the need to reply to them with my counter-argument/counter-opinion. It sounds bad but it's like I can't be bothered. The same applies to expressing criticism myself. I don't feel the need to express it but it's interesting to read what others think. I agree with everything you said but think that those peope are a minority here. I don't agree with them but don't discuss it because at the end of the day they're just that: opinions. Maybe, because many of us don't engage in those discussions, it makes the thread look more negative than it really is. I don't personally care and find it always interesting to see different points of view (although don't like when people get passive agressive etc), and it doesn't affect my mood or anything but that's different for everyone, of course. Anyway, I hope you'll feel better distancing yourself from OH if that's what you need. You will be missed!
