To use SNSD songs as an example, I think they had their Gee and Oh with LB and Fun, they'll probably come back with something 'Genie'. Still pop but more vocals and more mature. Exciting to think of what some full power fromis_9 could do with a good concept like that.

Pretty much this. There is a few good videos on youtube about why. Main reason is what it takes to win on a survival show isn't necessarily the same thing it takes to be a popular and successful idol. 

Some uncle fans should meet him at the airport, show him around, let him see the sights, like some back alleys.

He knew he would get that reaction, the whole running joke on that episode was them being scared of her when she was 'mad'. Subtlety not the strong suit of some fan but please don't ignore context people.
