I do believe though that if ever Sehun said smth like this, it would be more known among shippers. But this is just my opinion, therefore this 'fact' remains unconfirmed. Barcelona trip: Yes, it is true that Chanyeol and Baekhyun spent time in Barcelona back then! There are a couple of pictures showing them walking on the streets, shopping and sitting at the bus stop. As for the unseen pictures, it is notable that there is a picture (actually, it looks more like a screenshot from a video to me) in which Baekhyun is feeding Chanyeol icecream. What's interesting is that it was leaked I think 1-2 years after the Barcelona trip. Hence, I do believe that there could indeed be pictures / videos of the trip that haven't been revealed for whatever reason. back door moment: I believe anon is refering to this moment here: To tell you the truth, I wasn't familiar with EXO when this happened so I don't know the exact context. However, to me it looks like they were fooling around rather than trying to sneak out. I also don't believe that they were alone. footsie: Yes, this happened! It's in EXO Showtime Episode 6! Hawaii: Yes, it is true that they spent time alone, went shopping and ate together. It is also true that Chanyeol's arm was injured at that time so he most probably couldn't go swimming. birthday posts / scandal: Everything about the birthday posts is true. The 'song of heartlessness' that anon is talking About could be 'Love is a losing game' by Amy Winehouse. Chanyeol posted a screenshot of it on 16th July 2014, not long after the scandal: heaven / sky: Chanyeol does indeed love to include words like 'heaven', 'sky' and 'angel' in his self-written songs. We had a very interesting discussion about this topic here in the thread. If you go pages back, you might find it! As for 'Freal Luv', Chanyeol did take part in writing the lyrics, idk how much of it he wrote though. 'Let me Love You' was not written by Chanyeol. All in all, the lyrics that have been mentioned are all legit - the rest is interpretation! night date: They are known for going out late at night, though they don't do that anymore nowadays (either that or nobody spots them) but I believe anon is refering to this: The two men on the picture do look like Baekhyun and Chanyeol. Thanks so much @ruru-chan and @baekkiehyun for sharing your experiences with us! I have often wondered about what witnessing a moment between Chanyeol and Baekhyun in real life must feel like, if their interactions give off the same intimate vibe as they do on our phone and computer screens or if I am actually deluding myself because I am only witnessing things "second hand" by watching videos someone else took and reading fanaccount that someone else wrote where they describe something from their own perspective. I was wondering what it must feel like to experience all these things we talk about here directly, "first hand." I am not sure if I myself will ever get the chance to but reading what you guys said made me giddy and smiley because, even though I was not there myself, the fact that witnessing their behaviour around each other in person left such a strong impression on you guys, especially you @ruru-chan, the fact that you can speak about them with such conviction after that, shows me that you are confident in what you saw. And it makes me so happy to read that this intimate vibe that Chanyeol and Baekhyun radiate whenever they interact can actually be felt in real life as well! Reading your post actually felt like reading my own thoughts and I completely agree with what you said. While in the beginning, it felt like the thread was aimed at analysing their dynamics, their behaviour around each other etc., it now feels like we have "figured them out" if that makes sense. Therefore, I feel like the purpose of the thread has changed as well. We are appreciating more than we are analysing now - which I don't see as something negative at all btw, quite the opposite! I think it's a good thing that we have reached a stage where we can just look at our ship and admire what has become of it after all these years: a stable, incredibly close bond between two young men. I mean, it has been what, six years since their debut and their relationship - whatever it is - has developed so much since then and you can just tell they both have reached a point where they know what the other thinks just by looking at each other. Chanyeol and Baekhyun have grown, they have matured. And so has their relationship it seems. If I had to use one word to describe their relationship, I would probably choose "stable". Even if they both have made new friends over the years as well, they are still very close & make each other incredibly happy when they are together - I even dare to say they are the happiest around each other As for the nature of their relationship, I cannot say I am sure. For me too, it's either a wonderful friendship or a romantic relationship - either way it's love though. My mindset right now is to be prepared for anything, to expect everything in the future. If ever it should be official that they are together (though I doubt this will ever happen) - I will wholeheartedly support them. However, if any of them should date other people, I will be happy for them. My only wish for them would be that they will always stay as close as they are now - as boyfriends or as friends <3

Voted! Those badges are all so pretty Now onto this (I guess you must have seen it coming): Are you all still alive? But let's get serious. I already saw a bunch of people analyzing this moment on Twitter and while I think that it's important to pay attention to small details (such as mimics and gestures for example), I felt like a lot of them got a bit lost in them to the point where, instead of analysing, they started creating "scenarios" - at least that was my impression. Does that mean that this moment was not interesting? Certainly no! Honestly speaking, I don't think this was one of those moments that allowed us to see brand new facettes of their relationship. It was more "eye candy" for us shippers. However, it certainly did confirm a few things we already "knew" about them such as the fact that Baekhyun and Chanyeol doing remotely "romantic" things, even if it's only for laughs and giggles as it was in this case, always ends up looking adorably awkward for reasons that are unknown to us. It wasn't any different during the "I love you" game. If you watch the whole video, you can see Baekhyun trying to move away when Sehun wanted to switch places with him and Chanyeol also seemed very nervous when he realized that he had to play with Baekhyun. They had no chance to avoid the situation as they normally would so they decided to go with it. Now what makes this so scream-worthy in my opinion is the fact that they both start off by trying to act nonchalant but as they continue playing, they are starting to look more and more genuine, like you can see they are trying to suppress smiles and all. The question for me here is: Was it the game they were getting so involved with or each other? Or perhaps both? Fact is, they both clearly affect each other. This wasn't the first time that I saw Chanyeol getting flustered because of Baekhyun for example - to me, this is a new and pretty cute side of him that I "discovered" last year during KKB era. I don't know if I am reading too much into it but he really did look ... hypnotised when Baekhyun ran his hand down his torso like that I mean ... Chanyeol doesn't really seem to enjoy lots of skinship but Baekhyun's touch almost always has an effect on him (maybe that's why he usually tries to avoid it). The latter is usually just as affected though. For instance, I found it super cute how Baekhyun had to pause for a second after Chanyeol said "I love you" back! Anyway, I think whatever their motives were (teasing each other or winning the game), it is still a very memorable moment that we won't forget so soon I think! He was confronted with ugly accusations and I as well as many others were worried that he might close himself off again and simply not be himself. However, seeing how maturely he handled the issue and how much more active he has become on social media, I feel relieved and also very proud. I have always thought that Baekhyun was a strong person but it seems like he is even getting stronger as time passes!

A mutual of mine spotted something while watching a fancam. I thought I would share with you guys because we found it quite funny. So here is the fancam: Click here to view the Tweet You can see Kai and Chen totally minding their own business as Mino and Chanyeol greet each other (I guess they got acquainted with each oher after appearing on "Master Key" together) while Baekhyun's eagle eyes are fixated on Mino until the latter goes away. I don't really know how to interpret Baekhyun's facial expression here but he Looks a bit curious, as if asking himself: "What's his business with Chanyeol? Since when are they so close?" ​We found it really funny! It has been a while since I have seen Baekhyun looking "concerned" about who Chanyeol is interacting with. There were several moments in the past where he seemed jealous/annoyed. Nowadays, however, I noticed that he is more nonchalant and relaxed and I always speculated that it might have to do with the fact that they have simply grown up and also strengthened their relationship to the point that there is no need to get jealous anymore. Obviously, one still cares about who their partner is in contact with though - at least that seems to be the case for Baekhyun (if we assume that they are a couple) haha!

Agreed! I think they both were amazing with the kids in their own way. As for Baekhyun, it became evident to me that he must have some kind of experience with children because of the way he held and played with them. His behaviour was just incredibly natural and gave me a lot of feels! I assume that it is because Baekhyun is an uncle and I can imagine him interacting with his niece and nephew in the same way he did with the twins Moreover, I have always thought that Baekhyun was actually really gentle and careful despite his loud and cheery nature. If I remember correctly, I think he even once said in an interview that he was very perceptive of people's feelings. He is really a thoughtful person. TROS was just a gift to us imo! I have some freetime to spare right now and I thought I would use it to make a post on the thread, also because I figured that you might miss ChanBaek as much as I do A while ago, I made a little observation that I would like to share with you guys. I feel like now is the perfect time since the boys are still resting and there isn't much going on at the moment. It is nothing big at all but hopefully still fluffy enough to give you some feels You guys do remember Chanyeol's famous sausage+vegetables stir-fry, right? If I remember correctly, Chanyeol cooked this dish twice on television. The first time was on Roommate and the second time was on The Return of Superman, where ​he and Baekhyun fed the twins with it: Now onto what I have "observed". Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out how to post my own screenshots on OneHallyu, therefore, I will just put the video down below for you: - 59:33 - 59:38: Here, you can see Chanyeol talking to the twins' dad while preparing the ingredients. He tells him that he "made this (dish) often for the members." ​and that "they really like it." ​​While he says that (59:38: "They really like it."), you can see that Chanyeol's eyes shift and he is looking at something outside the kitchen/cooking area with a smile on his face. Now the question is: What is he looking at? - 59.09: The kitchen is being filmed from another angle and the camera zooms out a bit. Now you can see that kitchen and living room are kind of connected. That means that, from his position next to the kitchen counter (back to 59:38), Chanyeol would have a perfect view on Baekhyun and Seo Eon. They are both in his line of sight (unless they moved from their postions in the meantime of course). Thus, I believe that it was them he was looking at. Coupled with that look Chanyeol gave him on The Return of Superman when he said: "They really like it." , I couldn't help but wonder if this was actually Baekhyun's favourite dish by Chanyeol and if that's why the latter cooks it so often. I can imagine it so well though since the two of them can be so domestic with each othe sometimes !

Oh gosh, this! I defnitely noticed those glances but I wasn't aware of the weird editing before you mentioned it. Come to think of it, they really seemed to have cut out many scenes as you and @christallodineve have pointed out already. (at least that's what it says in the tweet) I saw another translator saying that it means "like" in this context (@CmixB) I do not speak Korean so obviously I cannot tell which one is right but from what I have seen/read, the first translation seem to be the correct one? Now the question is, what exactly does Chanyeol refer to with "it's good/nice, isn't it"? My guess is that it could be a reply to Minseok's question, sort of like "Yeah, that (= a character/face like Baekhyun) is nice, isn't it?" or Chanyeol meant something else or, he didn't say "ì¢‹ì£ " after all (because the more I listen to the audio, the more it sounds like something else to me). As I have said though, these are just naive guesses based on the information we have gotten. We'd need someone who actually speaks Korean to properly analyse this, I guess. Either way, I agree with @Helena that the mere fact that Chanyeol even said he liked puppy types is already worth getting a bit crazy over since "puppy" is basically Baekhyun's second name Plus, what was the need to even bring Baekhyun into this, dear Minseok? On another note, I just want to say that I am always amazed at how much these two actually know about about each other - seriously, every single detail. I am especially amused at how often Baekhyun has pointed out Chanyeol's habit of spending lots of money for stuff he is interested in. He keeps bringing it up - obviously not with malicious intentions - and I just find it so adorable because he reminds me so much of a boyfriend/husband keeping track of his partner's finances and sort of "nagging" about it in a cute way I also really love how openly they can talk about and with each other lately. They seem so much more comfortable, not afraid to sneak in a few gestures and words of affection/appreciation for each other (and basically killing us, I mean "shimkoong" "my heart is beating" come on!) but still maintaining this subtle sweetness that we are used to. They also keep proving just how well they know each other imo - one of the reasons why fanaccounts from "Party People" made me especially excited, cannot wait to watch it!

I think we'll find out soon __ Also, here is a small update on "Chill":​ ​© @berryeoltr It's not much but what caught my attention was that he basically implied that he wrote the song (or most of it it seems) and that he pretty much wrote the lyrics without any sort of guidance. And he said they came out "naturally" that way, so I guess there is a chance that the lyrics are based on his own thoughts & feelings? Hm ... ___ Some thoughts on the tourgram: So, did you guys watch it? I think what I liked best about it is the fact that there were many scenes which showed just how close these two really are ... their closeness is the kind that does not need to be verbalized, where words & much skinship is not needed because they have reached a stage where they are comfortable just by being next to each other. Good, the camera probably played a big role here as well (because I believe they are way more talkative off-camera and less shy/awkward than they were in the very beginning of the video haha!) but still you can see how they seem to act by instinct around each other, nothing is forced - it's all natural: the way they casually taste each other's coffee's, how Chanyeol knows Baekhyun wants a t-shirt in size XL, how they take turns paying for their drinks and food (just the fact that there seems to be no "yours" and "mine" between them), I could list so many more more things. Also, not only did they confirm that they go out often (as if we didn't know already ), Baekhyun also said this: This really touched me ... "I guess you rely on him" - he really does ... and I think it became very evident here as well. Baekhyun really trusts Chanyeol. You can tell by, how out of all members, he sticks to him the most off-camera, picks up his hobbies, and acoompanies him to trips. It's like if he does go out, then only with Chanyeol and that alone says a lot imo. Chanyeol is not only fun to be around (pretty much what Baekhyun once said), he is also very attentive towards Baekhyun (For example, I found it very sweet how he gave in to Baekhyun's wish to eat pizza when they were discussing what to eat.) In short, they just compliment each other really, really well and that makes them a dream team & the best partners in my eyes

I didn't pay much attention to that "You are hovering over my head like a blanche" line before! Who knew there were so many possible meanings of "blanche" though? Even though we cannot know what exactly the songwriters meant to refer to, I still think what you guys found out is super interesting! The reason why I didn't pay much attention to that line before is because I thought "blanche" was refering to a perfume by BYREDO, namely this one: https://byredo.eu/blanche-eau-de-parfum-100-ml?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy5amk_Tb1QIVFuEbCh0eEQAvEAAYAiAAEgI1NvD_BwE So I briefly thought that that line was maybe used to express that someone is hovering over someone's head like the scent of a perfume that you or someone who is/was in the same room with you used, so you keep smelling it (unwillingly). And I didn't think this was important to mention. But now that I digged in a bit deeper, I think the official description of the perfume is pretty interesting as well: "The idea for Blanche is, as the name suggests, built around my perception of the colour white. For the first time I actually made a fragrance for and with a specific person in mind. I wanted to capture her innocent and untainted side, with a fragrance almost transparent in nature. Blanche also represents an appreciation for classic beauty. The fragrance is pure and simple in structure but extreme in character." - Ben Gorham, founder ​Could be a coincidence but the parts I have marked red here remind me a bit of the line in "Chill" where it says: "Your face is something between expressionless and a child's smile." ​because of the mix between innocent/child like and mature/serious/expressionless which is also kind of implied in the description of the perfume. It's really interesting how all possible meanings of "blanche", be it the character in the movie you have mentioned @PrazzyJazzy , the description on UrbanDictionary, the colour "white" (as @Pineapples on Pizza has mentioned) or the description of the perfume, all refer to someone/something sweet, childish, pure and innocent and yet strong, powerful. Basically something/someone with a mixed character. Even if this isn't meant to refer to Baekhyun after all, I just want to say that it's a lot of fun to analyse the song together like this! Haha!

Admittedly, after re-reading my analysis, I felt like I might have gone a bit too far at certain parts haha but it's good to know that I wasn't alone with my thoughts and that you interpreted the song in a similiar way I did Compared to "Heaven" and "You Are"​, it was really difficult to find possible links between "Chill" and ChanBaek and even the ones I did point out are pretty much just pure speculation. Nevertheless, I always enjoy looking deeper into the songs Chanyeol (co-)writes because artists speak through the art they produce and it's always interesting to find out what's going on in their heads! I am hoping for more songs by Chanyeol in the future - one because I really adore his deep voice (I love all his covers!) and two because I feel like he is the type to express deep feelings through songs rather than verbalizing them directly. Ok, finally I have some time to make this post So, as you probably know "Chill", one of the tracks in EXO's new album, was co-written by Chanyeol. Back then, when we analysed "Heaven" together, we all agreed that the lyrics were oddly detailed and seemed a lot like they were not a product of pure imagination but personal experience of someone who is in love. Moreover, we discovered that there are certain elements/metaphors Chanyeol likes to use in his songs, which indicates that our assumptions are likely to be true. What we could conclude from that is that Chanyeol's songs can be regarded as a "door to his feelings" so to speak (as it is the case with most artists) - feelings that he cannot talk about in public for obvious reasons. Hence, I think it's worth to take a closer look at the lyrics for "Chill" as well. First of all, this is how the song is described (I couldn't find out who exactly said this but it's still an "official" description, I guess) Ok, so this description gives us an idea of what the song is about. What I think is interesting is that, although it is explicitly said here that it is about a guy not being able to get over a woman's ​​beauty, the song itself appears pretty much gender neutral, not only because of the absence of words like, I don't know, "Girl", "Baby Girl", "Princess", "Queen", "Goddess" - anything that would usually indicate that the song is about a female - but also because the person the song is about is not described in a very detailed way. And I think that is strange considering that the song is supposed to be about a woman's beauty - if so, why not describe her beauty further? Why not talk about a curvy body, long hair, red lipstick etc.? This alone makes the description of the song not very fitting to me. I cannot claim to know better what the songwriters had in mind while writing "Chill", however, looking at the lyrics. I feel like ​beauty alone is not the topic of this song. I think it's much, much deeper actually. I think the beauty mentioned here (since they keeps saying "You are beautiful") is not reduced to physical beauty either - how can it, when it lacks actual descriptions of someone's appearance? The lines I have marked red here are the only ones that somewhat describe the looks of the person and that, too rather vaguely. The line I have marked green ​might even confirm my assumption: "eyes" and "body" are physical, "words" and "voice" are more than that and "everything" is well ... everything. This is why I believe that the songwriter is not just addicted to the person in a physical way (because I saw people saying that the song had a "smutty" feel haha) - he is addicted to his/her whole existence. And this is what I meant when I said that the song has a much deeper meaning in my eyes than the description would have made one guess. "Addiction" is generally one of the main topics in this song - I think that is very clear. Being the lonely loser that I am, I have often watched videos about love and relationships, talked to friends/my Family and also read a few articles because I am curious about what effects love has on people - also from a scientific perspective (I just think it's quite fascinating what great power love has). Many times, I have heard and read that, especially in the early stages of a relationship, people can actually get addicted to their partners, wanting to be near them all the time, touch them and just feel their presence. Some say that the brain of a person in love is shockingly similiar to someone who is addicted to drugs (That really blew me away lol!). And for that reason, I think it's possible that it's this kind of addiction that is being talked about in this song, not just being addicted to someone's body but to their presence as a whole. Lastly, what I think gives "Chill" a slightly angsty touch (and what makes you go "hm?") is the fact that many times, it is mentioned how someone is afraid and trying to hopelessly escape the feelings the person described in the song is evoking in him/her, probably because they are too overwhelming but maybe also because giving in would be "controversial" or "dangerous"? I might be digging too deep at this point but the question I am asking myself is: If not for an important reason, would you really be able to (or try to) push someone you are madly in love with away? Alternatively, the "pushing away" part could also refer to someone not being able to control their actions due to the intense feelings he/she is feeling (could be implied in the line I have marked violet) so he/she is trying to keep a distance in order not to lose himself/herself but fails at it. To sum it all up, I Interpret "Chill" as a song that describes someone being madly in love with a person, to the point where it is addictive and therefore almost "dangerous". Hence, he/she is hopelessly trying to escape but without succeeding. In fact, it seems like he/she realizes that it's impossible to run away as the feelings are too intense (towards the end of the song). Thus, the only thing left to do is to accept those feelings and give himself/herself to the person he/she is in love with (for reference, please look at the lines I have marked turquoise) Now, since this is the Official ChanBaek Thread - are there any links? First of all, I have no idea which parts of the song Chanyeol wrote, what he had in mind, what his intentions were. However, since he is the co-writer, I am assuming that his own ideas should have influenced the song at some point. Secondly, this song does not include the typical metaphors/elements (heaven, sky, stars, angels etc.) that he used in "Heaven" and "You Are". ​"Chill" 's lyrics are also more "vague" compared to the other two's, so it's a bit more difficult. However, I still find it interesting how the only two lines that somewhat describe the person's appearance (the red ones) could be linked to Baekhyun at least. A face that is between "expressionless" and "a child's smile" - frankly, that could mean many things. To me, it could imply that a person is a mix of both, serious and collected and yet lively, refreshing, someone that can give you as much joy as seeing a child's smile would. Baekhyun is that kind of person to me. He is bubbly and talkative, sweet and makes you feel a lot of joy by watching his antics. But he is also mature, smart and can also be serious and a perfectionist when he needs to be. He has both sides to him in my opinion. Aside from that, I think what I wrote about the feelings described being "controversial", it was just an interpretation of course but it would also apply to ChanBaek for reasons I don't have to explain, I guess. If these lyrics reall describe Chanyeol's feelings though, then they are really, really intense and the mere thought of it is blowing my mind. So, finally I was able to get this out of my chest haha!
