Sorta been casually following how "Closer" is doing on MelOn. If you look up a track on Melon, it'll give you the song's position on the daily chart for the previous day, if it's in the top 1000. From memory, just before the incident it was at about #499 or something. Then afterwards, it's been something like #525, #536, #582... which is to say, this has had no discernible impact on music sales/streaming.

Just did a quick look around to see what was going on with Lipservice, and here's what I could quickly find. First to close up a possible loose end, Lipservice's sole composer/producer/sometimes feature/sometimes performer J-lin has become the CEO of an R&B/hephap label called Headline Music. You nugu followers may be familiar with one of their recent idol genre works as they produced A-Daily's . Not sure what this means for her continued involvement with Lipservice, but I'll assume for now that they continue to work together. (Looking at that picture of her in a bikini, I'm guessing she and Bipa still at least workout together. ) Meanwhile, Lipservice remains a part of CMGì´ˆë¡ë³„ agency, as they're still popping up on the company's official twitter. The interesting thing about "Always" is that while it's a good song, there are some parts of it that are a little flat. If they could tighten those things up a bit in the 2015 version (probably a better name for it going to be "the 3 minute version" ), the thing could end up being very popular. Or, as popular as the shorts check they're going to get from producers of music broadcast shows.

They never performed "Always" on music shows and such, nor made a for it. And seeing as it has become their most "popular" song somehow ( ), it's probably financially sensible to go ahead and put this through kpop's normal promotional channels before they go and disappear to Japan for a while, I guess.
