  1. They are definitely one of the more exciting and consistent bands that have come out as of late. Mother We Share is such a great track but I would definitely follow it up with Recover and Lies. Much too curious about what they are planning to release after Gun.
  2. CHVRCHES are great! Gun has been on repeat since yesterday but I still prefer Mother We Share and Recover to Gun but it's still pretty good.
  3. Great idea! Would definitely like to see a few mixtapes revolving around this thread. Would be cool to expand all of our tastes while also compiling some of the tracks that are posted on here just in case someone missed something. Toro Y Moi recently released a remix of You & Me by Disclosure. St. Vincent and David Bryne have also released a free released entitled Brass Tactics, which you can get your hands on. https://soundcloud.com/toroymoi/disclosure-you-me-ft-eliza
  4. I've found their earlier releases off of Aurora and Who Are You much more enjoyable than their recent output, which isn't bad but doesn't stick with me as much. Image Training and Estranger are worth checking out off of Who Are You. Aurora was also quite a good album and would recommend Lonesome Ghost, Big Foot and Leo. Shout To The Walls is also worth listening to because it had quite a few decent tracks on it but Ryu already covered that.
  5. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to it but thoroughly enjoyed Adventure. Is his newest release worth listening to??
  6. @DocumentaLy Naoto Inti Raymi has been uploaded and released on the blogs!
  7. I've finally gotten around to listening to Settle by Disclosure and they lived up to my expectations and much more with their debut. Second Chance, Confess To Me feat. Jessie Ware, Voice feat. Sasha Keable and Latch feat. Sam Smith are my favorites off of Settle on first listen.
  8. Recently purchased Mosquito by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bankrupt by Phoenix and Comedown Machine by The Strokes! I'll also be seeing Charli XCX, Of Montreal, Grizzly Bear and Dragonette in the coming months. Won't be able to get my hands on Disclosure anytime soon unless they have a sooner release date for the states but I'll definitely be purchasing it once it comes out.
  9. BiS are going to be releasing their upcoming single Die on June 26, 2013!
  10. Katy B and Jessie Ware finally performed Aaliyah together at BBC Radio: Big Weekend! I've been waiting to hear them perform this together for quite sometime because it was easily the strongest cut off of Danger. Could you imagine them working together again and creating a collaborative full length??? http://youtu.be/eZc6ZDCohR0
  11. Is there a particular style of music that you prefer listening to? I've mainly been listening to V.I.P L.I.F.E by LX Sweet, , , and All You're Waiting For by Classixx feat. Nancy Wang. Did anyone get a chance to check out The XX and Jessie ware performing together??? http://youtu.be/7x93kdxjb_0
  12. Kendrick Lamar has been on point with his recent collaborations especially with Solange and Quadron. Definitely looking forward to checking out Avalanche when it gets released. When A Fire Starts To Burn isn't Disclosure's strongest track but it's still incredibly enjoyable and we are getting closer to the release of their album.
  13. Paradise Kiss, Nana, Kuragehime, Moyashimon, Genshiken and Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra are a few of my all time favorite series. Occult Academy, Psycho Pass, Shiki, Ano Hana and Natsuyuki Rendezvous are a few series that have left quite a strong impression on me and are definitely favorites.
  14. Wolf Children is incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking specially towards the end of the film. Mamoru Hosoda has reached new heights in his storytelling and mastery of his art with this film. Left quite the strong impression on me after watching it because of how beautiful it's told and created. Watch it!
  15. They've changed the characters just enough to make them refreshing and have a new air about them. Definitely enjoying Jin's design as an adult the most but the added colors and textures brings a lot to their character design. Getting that much more excited about this season of Rozen Maiden.
  16. Incredibly surprised to see Mahou Shojo Lyrical Nanoha, Mahou Shoujo Madaoka Magica, Bakemonogatari and A Certain Scientific Railgun/Index on this list because they are all series that push boundaries and challenge the general outlines and tropes of their respective genres. I'm probably most confused about seeing A certain Scientific Railgun and Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica on this list because they both offer quite a bit of solid experiences for both men and women. Shows like Strike Witches and Girls Und Panzer are understandably on this list.
  17. Wouldn't want to defer anyone from listening to Delight by Miwa but it wasn't remotely close to any of her past material. Both Guitarissimo and Guitarium are much stronger albums in terms of both music and her vocal work. Delight/Hikari E are worth listening to off of the album but for the most part the album isn't too impressive and a bit of a step back for Miwa.
