1. Python is a solid album! Surfer Blood have done quite a bit of growing over these last few years and you can hear it clearly on Python. Astro Coast is still such a fun album and listen to it pretty frequently but Pynthon may just end turning out to be the stronger album. Haven't gotten a chance to check out Quadron but I'll eventually get around to it. Hot Chip have released their new track Dark & Stormy and it has been on replay for the last few hours.
2. Vampire Weekend put on a great show! Saw them live a few years back when they had Beach House and The Very Best opening for them. Definitely enjoyed their visuals for Diane Young and they are so much better than what we saw with the lyric video. David Lynch has decided to partner up with Lykke Li for his track I'm Waiting Here. Dream appears to be the follow up to both Crazy Clown Time and The Big Dream. You can give everything a listen over here!   I'm also incredibly interested and would like to participate in making a playlist towards the end of June! Definitely getting quite excited for this mix tape project because I would like to see what everyone else listens to. Should be fun!
3. Vampire Weekend have finally released their proper visuals for Diane Young, which happens to be one of my favorite cuts off of Modern Vampires of The City. It's a star studded affair and includes Santigold, Sky Ferreira, Chromeo, Dirty Projectors, The Walkmen, Despot and so many more. Fun visuals!
4. I've caught myself quite hypnotized and entranced by After Dark 2 comprised of releases by Chromatics, Glass Candy, Johnny Jewel, Mirage and Professor Genius. Wasn't expecting Johnny Jewel to release another compilation after Italians Do It Better After Dark but couldn't be any happier that he did. It's essentially a tape for the night and features quite a bit of melancholic dance tracks. Cherry by Chromatics is easily my favorite cut off of the release. Definitely planning on checking out The Tuxedo because Hawthorne won me over when I saw him live.
5. I don't know what to do with Hiromi anymore. Magic and Rainbow are two of my favorite urban full lengths because she had so much life, sass and energy in her music but Honesty was much too tired and sleepy. I'm most likely not going to bother listening to her cover album unless I heard good things about it but I'm not going to hold my breathe. Ringo would create such a magical cover album!
6. I know! I'm way too tired of J-Artist releasing cover albums because they don't do much to change or transforms the records that they have chosen to cover. I've exhausted myself on these cover albums and can't wait until this trend is done and over with. Koda Kumi delivered on her cover album on quite a few tracks but I don't have any faith that Hiromi is going to pull out anything interesting from her cover album.
7. She is going to be releasing Incomplete: Traces of 5 Years on June 22nd but it isn't going to be an original album. It's a cover album to my understanding but she hasn't released the tracklist for it.
8. You shouldn't have bothered listening to Honesty. She hasn't released anything interesting since Rainbow and Magic. I'm close to losing any faith in her but I'll wait for Incomplete to come out and see if she can redeem herself.
9. I did! Thoroughly enjoyed it but I still prefer Toyosu☆Luciferin, Hodokenai Bokura wa Zettai and Roulette de Kuchizuke wo off of her last single instead. Isn't 0 suppose to be connected to a commercial??
10. Can't believe that Yoshimura Hideki passed away. Bloodthirsty Butchers have been one of my favorite bands for the longest and are arguably one of the main reasons that I was ever introduced or listened to Japanese music. He mentioned that the upcoming Bloodthirsty Butchers record is his masterpiece and can't wait to listen to his final work. http://youtu.be/KzL35D2hdlE
11. Solange has come into herself as an artist and musician with True! It showcases quite a bit of her strongest work to date especially after and working with Dev Hynes. Sol-Angel & The Hadley St. Dream is also a good place to start with her music. Wild Nothing has been developing and switching up their sound between releases and that makes them fresh and exciting. Empty Estate is so good!
12. Haven't heard anything from Capital Cities but definitely enjoyed Kangaroo Court quite a bit. Do you have any other recommendations for songs off of their debut??? Matthew Dear has released She's Just That Way, which is one of the new tracks off of his re-release/ complete edition of Beams that is going to be released on . https://soundcloud.com/ghostly/matthew-dear-shes-just-that-way
