  1. I'm super super excited for Jinkyu, like I'm so happy I will probably cry at some point. I really didn't expect him to do well in the revival voting because I thought people would vote for Alex instead of him. So yeah, I'm just really happy my favorite hyperactive dork gets a second chance. Though I know the likelihood of him making the final group is...pretty much zero, hopefully this will be an opportunity for him to get more fans and attention so a good company might sign him when it's all over. I'm trying to restrain my excitement until they officially announce that he's coming back, though. I'm still kinda sad about Insoo not making it, but at the same time relieved, because it doesn't really seem like they have a clear idea of what they're going to do with the revived guys, and I don't want Insoo to be brought back just to get messed with again. And as talented and deserving as Insoo is, I don't know if his chances of debuting with the final group would be very good anyway; I feel like he might have more opportunities to pursue his dream outside of Boys24.
  2. The Unit Red stuff is making me tear up lol. Yeontae talking about how he wanted Bongnim to say something good about his singing and Sungho talking about how he did badly in the rap evaluation especially make me so sad. They both worked so hard.
  3. Oh no it's okay, thank you for looking into it. I was a little worried about Insoo getting into fights with people for a second there lol. It sucks if people are really mad at him just for that, though. I get that fans like feeling appreciated, but I'm sure he wasn't trying to deliberately ignore them or anything, he's just a kid. It's really not anything worth getting upset over or damaging his reputation for. But I remember a few weeks ago Kyuhyun apologized on his Instagram for something similar (he wrote letters back to a few of the fans that came to see him at his family's cafe and people apparently got mad because they thought he was giving special treatment to some of his fans or something). So I guess it's not really surprising that people got upset because of this. It's dumb though. I really hope it doesn't damage Insoo's reputation too much though, and that he doesn't take this too much to heart (although he's always seemed so serious and sensitive so I feel like he probably will...) I do wonder if this had anything to do with why he isn't doing as well in the Korean poll, though, because I'm still kinda surprised that the gap between him in 6th and Jinkyu in 5th is so big. Like no offense meant to Jinkyu bc I love him a lot and I'm really happy he's probably going to come back, but he was never as popular as Insoo in the original ranking, even after Insoo got eliminated twice. Part of it probably has to do with people wanting to bring most of Unit Red back, but it would also not surprise me if people didn't vote for Insoo bc they were mad at him for this non-controversy. (I just want Jinkyu and Insoo both to come back it's cruel to make me choose. )
  4. Does anyone know if Insoo is doing okay? I'm worried about him, he deleted most of the pictures off his Instagram and made a really long Facebook post a few days ago, but my Korean is really bad so I don't know what he's saying besides apologizing for something. (Link to his Facebook) I'd be really grateful if anyone has an idea of what's going on.
  5. Yeah, this makes me kinda sad. I don't expect everyone to care about the show or the guys, because it'd be weird if everyone had the same taste. But I've seen so many people (not just on OH but on other sites as well) say mean things about the guys without even bothering to give them a chance, and it makes me so mad because the majority of them are actually pretty talented. And even if they're not as good as everyone thinks they should be, most of them haven't had training under a company yet; they'll improve with time and support. Also almost all of the boys are such sweet and happy people (and even the ones that aren't as outwardly warm, like Sungho, are still really hard-working and caring in their own way), so I get really defensive when people hate them for no reason lol.
  6. Off-topic-ish, but did anyone else notice Jinkyu was wearing the same shirt in the leaving the dorms video that he wore during the Top 7 evaluations? I just thought it was funny, it's cute seeing how much they've changed since the show started (Jinkyu's changed his hair color/style like 12 times already lol). Though it's also a bit bittersweet, knowing what they've all had to go through since then and how things didn't turn out exactly good for all of them.
  7. I'm kinda sad that Jinkyu is currently 5th and Insoo is 6th on both the Korean and international polls...both of them are my favorites and I wish they could both come back. I've been voting for both of them but it's probably only making things worse (by making the gap between them bigger). I hope people don't dislike Jinkyu or say he doesn't deserve to be there if he makes it. I know he wasn't that popular before Unit Red got eliminated and I don't know if that's part of why people are saying the voting is rigged (because the other Red guys all had a sizeable number of fans so it makes sense that they're in the Top 5 right now, but Jinkyu was the one of the lowest ranking non-eliminated guys before the last episode). This revival round is too stressful lol.
  8. I don't really have a favorite unit out of the ones that are left, but there's guys I like on every unit. Hwayoung and Changmin are my biases. I hope people start to like Changmin more, he's such a sweetheart and gets along with all the other guys so well. It upset me so much whenever he was sad on the show, so I hope he has a lot more opportunities to perform with his friends and be happy. So cute. I would make a thread for him but I'm really new here so I'm still getting used to how everything works (plus I have a tendency to forget to update things lol).
  9. When did Insoo say he was with an agency? I honestly will be much much happier if he's in a company already and can't come back to Boys24 (because he's so talented and hard-working and deserves much, much better than this mess), but I don't want to get my hopes up if it's not actually true. And I don't think all of the eliminated guys besides Unit Red have been signed with companies already, like I'm pretty sure Yeonsuk hasn't considering his age/the lack of attention he got on the show. So even if it's unlikely that some of the lower-ranked guys will actually make the top 5 in voting, I don't think you should discourage people to vote for them by saying that voting is rigged. Let people hope at least.
  10. I mean...as a Unit Red fan I'd be super happy if they all came back and could stick together, but at the same time I will be absolutely, completely fine if they're all put into different units because at least they'll be getting a second (or third) chance. Sungho needs to come back regardless of whether he can stay in Red because he was one of the Top 7 AND really high in the popularity ranking--so his elimination was stupid in the first place--and he's one of the most talented guys on the show. Hyunuk deserves to come back because he rarely got a chance to sing on the show despite having some of the best vocals, and only really got to show what he's capable of right before he got eliminated. Yeontae and Jinkyu both have worked so hard and improved so much, and did REALLY FLIPPING GOOD in their "Starlight" performance only to get eliminated at the very last second. So while I'm sure some people are voting solely for the Unit Red guys because they want Unit Red to get back together, there are probably a lot of other people voting for them because as individuals they're really talented and deserve a second chance. I don't mean to seem rude, but why are you so dead set against them changing up the units at all? Like...the likelihood of the final group consisting of guys all from the same unit is probably really slim to begin with, considering that some of the units still have weak/unpopular members who probably aren't going to get picked in the end unless they dramatically improve during the next year. And this far in advance they probably don't have the concept for the final group picked out yet, so it's more beneficial in the long-run for all of the guys to perform a variety of things rather than just sticking to what they've been doing on the show. It will help them be more adaptable, and hopefully give the guys who don't make the final group more skills that will make them attractive to good companies after a year. Also, you make it seem like putting a new member into each unit would be catastrophic because the units are already so cliquey and set in their ways, but again, it's probably to their advantage to be flexible and okay with change. After the first revival round, some of the groups that got new members--White is the biggest example--did MUCH better than before, so I don't think adding a new member to each group is necessarily a bad thing. And even if initially the new member has trouble adapting, most of the guys are talented enough and hard-working enough that I'm sure things will work out fine in the end. Like with Yeontae, for example: he was really awkward in his first performance with Unit Red and everyone thought he would never fit in there, but by the final episode Red had accepted him as one of their own and he helped them give a really stand-out performance that was completely different from what everyone expected Unit Red to be good at. Unit Red's "Starlight" performance showed that all of the members in that unit are capable of performing music other than hip-hop, and that the majority of them are extremely talented & hard-working individuals in their own right. So IDK why you feel like they should only perform hip-hop and don't deserve to be added to any of the other units if they make it through the second revival.
  11. I'm voting for Insoo, Taeyeon, and Taedong. I'd probably vote for Jonghyeok too but Yeonsuk is one of my biases and he's (unsurprisingly) super low in the polls, and I also really really want Jinkyu to come back. This is why I'm pissed that all three of my favorite units got eliminated lol. I really like almost all of the eliminated guys, and so many of them are extremely talented and deserve to come back, so no matter who I vote for I'm probably going to end up feeling guilty.
  12. Pretty sure Jinkyu was the least popular in Unit Red, I think the last time I checked before the final episode he was the second lowest out of all the guys still on the show. Which probably doesn't bode well for him in a purely popularity based revival, unless he got a ton more fans after his last performance (he did really good so maybe more people like him now). I really really want him to come back though.
  13. Yeah, plus when you add in all of the emotional stress they've been put through in addition to having to constantly practice, it's actually pretty impressive that most of them have held up for this long. I hope they're able to rest and take a break before they have to start doing their concerts. Insoo loves his mom so much, I really hope she can come see him debut again soon. He's worked so hard. :(
  14. I kinda feel like Mnet is partially responsible for Sangmin's health being so poor, tbh. They put so much pressure on all of the units and unit leaders by doing whole unit eliminations for the entire show, and Sangmin was very obviously stressed out and not doing well a lot of the time. Like I'm pretty sure he genuinely thought he was a liability to Unit Sky and that's why he asked Insoo to pick him for elimination during the revival round. If they'd done individual eliminations instead of unit eliminations, and hadn't thrown so many pointless plot twists at the units, maybe Sangmin wouldn't have been so pressured and could have looked after his health better. Even if he's choosing to leave voluntarily, it's kind of a dick move on Mnet's part to immediately replace him and not even hold his spot when he's worked so hard to get this far. I wish Sangmin all the best though and hope he can recover. Also as ecstatic as I would be for Insoo, Yeontae, and Sungho to come back, I...kinda also don't want that to happen? Honestly I really don't want Mnet anywhere near any of the eliminated guys, because it's pretty clear at this point that they don't care about their welfare at all, and they're probably better off outside Boys24. I also don't want Insoo and Yeontae to come back, again, only to get eliminated, again, once a year has gone by.
  15. I'm going to be crying about Unit Red for the next month. I knew it was coming and I understand why Unit White made it through (and am happy for them), but it's still really hard to see the last of my favorite units get sent home. Starlight was every bit as good as I expected it to be, I love ballad songs like that and I'm SO HAPPY that Hyunuk at least got to sing a lot for their final performance. It was such a beautiful song and they all did really good (and also looked really good, I liked their concept the most out of all of them). I started crying so much when they showed the clips of Unit Red together and then showed all their names. I know Unit Red (and especially Sungho) got a lot of criticism for not being as close as some of the other units, but I do think they genuinely cared for each other and supported each other in their own way. And I really think that Sungho loved all of his team members, even if he was harsh to them sometimes I feel like he did it because he wanted them all to succeed and do well, not because he didn't care. I'm sorry I'm just a really sad tomato right now.
  16. AHHHHHH Hwayoung dancing and singing the "dugeundae dugeundugeun dugeundae" part is the cutest thing ever, I knew that was him singing in the original MV! He's so cute oh my god. Listening to it again it does sound more like Woojin singing in the original video than Yeontae, although their voices are kind of similar so I'm not 100% sure. I can't believe that Changmin might've been the one rapping Youngdoo's part this entire time, why did they have Youngdoo rap in the MV in the first place...? Especially if the parts with Jinkyu in the MV were actually sung by Youngdoo. They just made everything 90 times more confusing lmao. (I agree about Taedong, I'm glad San got more screentime but he's not as good of a dancer. Also I'm just bitter about Taedong in general lol.)
  17. Watching Yeontae with Unit Red was adorable lol, he's so calm and laid-back compared to most of them. Especially always-hyper Jinkyu. I died when Jinkyu challenged him to see who could sing the highest, Alex was plugging his ears by the end of it XD
  18. I think my opinion of Unit Red has changed the most over the course of the show. At first I didn't like them at all (besides Jinkyu) because I'm not a big hip-hop fan, but they all have so much personality in their behind-the-scenes stuff that I gradually started to like them. All of the drama about Sungho's leadership actually made me like him a lot more; even though he's a hard-ass I think he genuinely does want all of his unit members to do well, and he's extremely hard-working and diligent (in addition to being super talented). Unit Red's not the most well-matched group, and they've messed up a lot of their chances to do well, but I feel like they have so much raw potential and energy and that if they're able to continue and train more together, they'll do really really well. (Also now that Yeontae's there I'm even more emotionally invested in their success.) (Can you tell I'm trying not to be sad about possibly losing them lol.) Individually, my opinion about Inho has changed the most. While I thought he was talented since his Top 7 evaluation, I didn't really like him that much personally because he initially came across as kind of cocky and arrogant. But seeing how creative he is (especially with Unit Blue's "Rough" performance), and how hard he worked to incorporate all of his unit member's strengths into their performances, really made me like him a lot more. He's willing to commit 100% to whatever concept he's given, isn't afraid to take risks and stand out, and is a good leader. (Also my opinion of him really jumped when they were choosing songs for the Mix-and-Match round, and all of Inho's choices were girl group songs. I love seeing guy groups cover girl group songs, so I instantly started like Inho about thirty times more lol).
  19. Idk though, I will be legitimately shocked if Unit White gets eliminated because I can't see Mnet letting go of Inho and his 48,000+ votes any time soon (plus Doha, Youngdoo, Jinseob, etc). They're way too popular. Unit Red is the least popular of the remaining units, all of their members except Sungho are at the very bottom of the ranking, and they've done poorly in pretty much every performance evaluation. Unless Mnet pulls the biggest plot twist in survival show history, I highly doubt that Red will make it instead of White. Not that I won't be insanely happy if Red actually makes it through somehow. I want Yeontae, Sungho, and Hyunuk to be safe so badly (and also Jinkyu because I love him even if he isn't as talented as the rest).
  20. I don't think you're being negative! Red is my favorite out of the units that are still left, and I agree with this for the most part. I definitely think Sungho would do better outside of Boys24, and Sunghyun probably too. They're both talented rappers and I don't know if they'd fit well with whatever concepts the Boys24 management have planned. Alex I think will also be fine because he's so young and has plenty of time to train and find a company to sign him. On the other hand...
  21. Yeonsuk!!!! I miss him a lot lol, he doesn't post on social media as much as the other eliminated guys. I'm gonna be sad forever he didn't get much screen time on the show.
  22. I LOVE JINKYU SO MUCH. I've been voting for him since the beginning because he's 100% my ideal type lol, both visually and personality-wise. He's so tall and funny and ridiculously adorkable and watching him is a delight. I know he needs to improve in some areas--he is a bit awkward at dancing, especially slower dances like at the start of their "I Need U performance, and he struggles a lot with high notes--but every time Jinkyu's on screen I can't stop smiling. He's a ridiculously attractive idiot and I love him. (But yes please vote for him, I know the votes don't mean much but I wish he was a tiny bit higher up in the ranking.)
  23. Okay I get that you're upset because you're a Unit White fan and the original line-up has been changed, but maybe you need to take a step back and consider the fact that their last two performances before this one were really, really bland. As a Unit White fan it's understandable that you ignore their flaws, but they really haven't been doing that good thusfar, and considering they were literally just one point away from going home in the last elimination round, they needed to change something. This was the first Unit White performance since "Shock" where I actually felt like they were using their full potential, and it made me excited to see where they'll go from here. I don't know why you think Inho was hogging all the spotlight; he's one of my biases but Haejoon, Jinseob, and Junseo actually stood out more to me in this performance (which was nice considering before they didn't make much of an impression on me). Even Jaehyun looked significantly less awkward than he usually does. You might think that Inho's personality is too ~extra~ to fit in with how you want Unit White to be, but the masters put him there for a REASON. He can be arrogant, over-the-top, and extreme sometimes, yes, but those qualities are what makes him a good leader who helps his teammates reach their full potential. Unit White needs someone like Inho because Doha--while a sweetheart--is too gentle and soft to kick them in the rear and get them to do better. Teamwork isn't about sitting quietly by and letting the rest of your group do mediocre work when you're really flipping close to getting sent home. It might take time for Unit White to adjust, but in the long run this will help make them a stronger group. And I'm sorry, but the other unit members are under no obligation to come up with easier choreography and stages just so Jaehyun looks good. They should help him practice and work with him to help him improve, but ultimately if he can't keep up with slightly harder choreography/more complicated stages, that's his problem. It's an extremely competitive survival show, and he's pretty much just been cruising on his looks, popularity, and slightly-better-than-average vocals up til now. I do think he has potential, but it's ridiculously biased to expect everyone else to go out of their way to make things easier for him when there have already been plenty of more talented guys sent home for less.
  24. Putting Inho in Unit White was such a good decision, he's really good at coming up with memorable and unique stages and I think you can really see how he's helped make their team stronger. (Also he looks really good in that uniform I'm shallow lol). Even though Unit White isn't my favorite unit I don't think they're untalented at all. They've worked just as hard as all the other units and definitely have some really talented members; I think they've just needed a good push in the right direction to move past the weaker performances they've had the past couple of rounds. I don't think they're a completely flawless unit (none of the units are, because they all have areas where they could benefit from more training and practice), and there are a few Unit White members I don't really like that much (though I understand why they're still in the show). But they don't deserve any hate and I think they're a really likeable group. I don't really have any right to complain about other units anyway lol, considering that the two units I cared about the most have already been eliminated and I only stan for individuals now. I do wish Purple had been able to stay longer though, it would've been really cool to see them perform some of the songs the other units have gotten to do.
