  1. Moon. - Scene 2 - HAIM - Let Me Go Link to the doubler (mute the movie video pl0x) Okay I am basically panicking because I had a sub all ready before this one but it turned out it didn't fit with the scene and with this song i am taking a HUGE rosk but at least I know if I go down in this round, I will go down with a rosk. I know this song over extends the finale scene but I just feel like it's perfect for the overall atmosphere of the scene, especially since You're The Worst has never been about being mellow and melodramatic. I am submitting a more upbeat song, as an angry and tortured take on the screenwriting. This track talks about the emotional tangle and division that both of the characters are feeling, more leaning towards gretchen especially. She is angry and confused and disappointed and in love and all of these mixed feelings at the same time, which is what this song perfectly conveys. Also I find it ironic how the song is saying 'You know I'm not one for leaving.' when the main character is actually leaving, i thought it was a nice contradiction. Overall, i feel like this track suits gretchen's emotional state more but some lines definetly reminds me of Jimmy like 'You know that I'm nothing without your love, no'. Also Haim are awesome and so so talented. Lyrics
  2. Moon. - Scene 2 - Lorde - Everybody Wants To Rule The World Link to the song superimposed on the scene (I advise you to put minimal volume on the battle video or mute it to get the full effect) Okay so since most of the other submissions for this scene are based on instrumentals or medieval slash outland-ish tunes, I decided to tackle this round with a modern twist on the soundtrack. EWRW is an official cover arranged by Lorde (yes I love Lorde) but it sounds nothing like the original, with a minimalistic industrial beat and ella's sinister vocals. This song is perfect for this scene lyrically and sonically since it shows how important the stakes are here and everyone's ambitions, especially with how the instrumental is arranged. It slowly builds up bit by bit towards a grandiose ending and the dark yet powerful vibe is only accentuated by the vocals. It goes perfectly with the scene since, as the lead to the beat drop is building up, the action on-scene is only getting more intense by the second, as if the instrumental and the screenwriting were synchronized. 3. thank you <3 question : do you listen to the submission juxtaposed on the scene or separately, because some songs might seem boring or long-ish if they aren't attached to a visual, like any OST
