  1. Ozil and Isco would have a hard time co-existing, just like Rooney - Van Persie. They put Ozil on the right wing on their first game of the season and it was clearly not his favorite position. If they get Bale, it's gonna be either CR7-Benzema-Bale-Isco or a combination of CR7 as the forward, Bale & Ozil as wingers & isco as playmaker. Clearly, the first combination seems to work better.   That's why I think Ozil's rumor isn't that far-stretched despite the fact that he just had a pretty good season with RM.    @ hanah: I think Man Utd doesn't want to take a chance with him because of his position, if Rooney stays put, which is very likely at this point, buying Ozil would be a waste.
  2. Chelsea "stole" Willian from Tottenham to replace Matta as he would be included in the deal for Rooney. Tottenham got mad and halt the Bale's trade.   I can't remember the last time this much drama has happened in such a short period of time.   P.S.: If only they get both Raul Gonzalez & Fernando Morientes back, that would be cool.
  3. I've been cheering for German national team since 2006 because I think they have everything to win a major title. Hopefully they will come through in 2014 with their core players all in prime age & experience.   Germany vs Spain in WC semi next year
  4. Didn't Mourinho say Luiz isn't fitted with his system (a defender/libero who prefers attacking) ? Along with 40 mil, which is what they would pay Man Utd for Rooney, it is a good trade tbh.
  5.   Only Kaka was a bust...their other 3 record breaking players have played really well for their teams. Compared to other big teams (Barca, Chelsea, Man Utd, etc.), with the exception of Bayern, RM has been the most efficient in blockbuster trades since the beginning of the millennium.
  6.   He was 3rd in the EPL in goals last season, and given his position and the squad that he has, it is really really good. You should look up some of his goals from last season. Most of them comes from isolation - he creates his own shot, which is incredible. Even Ronaldo or Messi have never done that. Of course, it's too soon to put him in the same league with Zidane or Ronaldo but Bale's last season was better than Kaka's best season in Milan, so RM is betting on his potential, which I think isn't that risky. 80 mil was the reasonable price but Tottenham rejected, which seems stupid but works, so we're in this ridiculous bidding process right now. Though it seems like Tottenham wants Modric + money = Bale.   I think this deal will most likely go through next week or two.
  7.   I know lol, if you notice, RM has the last 4 highest transfer fee in the history (Figo, Zidane, Kaka & Ronaldo), so Perez wants to keep with his Galácticos project with Bale.   If you have Bale & Ronaldo in two wings with Ozil as playmaker, you probably have the most formidable trio in the history of the game....
  8. Come on people, Bale is a stud, he is definitely worth as much as Neymar, if not , more since he has been proven in European leagues... :._.:   definitely not 100 million eruo though
  9. Nothing tops this FMV for me. The background music, the content & picture are just amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UqyX4BlFI8
  10. ^ Buying Thiago is his own doing but if he doesn't make any significant change, his presence will be questioned and he was supposed to be the one who brings Bayern to be a dynasty in European football.   Actually Muller can be the CF, which seems to fit Pep's philosophy with Gotze, Ribery & Robben playing behind him. The question still remains, which one of the 4 center midfielders will start lol.
  11. It's appropriate for Sunny to not accept the gift. Afterall, this is a sensitive subject but Sunny seems to be such a sweetheart
  12.   No, I was referring to the fact that he came in right after Bayern's tremendous season. Anything less that a repeated treble will be deemed as failure even though no team in the history has done that.   Also, he wants to employ his own style, much like Moyes is doing right now with Man Utd but it's tough to change a successful model. It's like why makes some adjustments when that system brought you the treble at the first place? Buying Thiago isn't wise either, especially by playing him, Martinez & Schweinsteiger can't be used properly and you just simply don't bench the face of your franchise and a 40-million-euro player. He is in a dilemma right now.   And I agree with you, that's why it could be reasonable to sell Manduzkic to make space for Lewandowski next year.
  13. You are one of the few Yoona-stan that I know. I love open ending in general but it seems to fall into the unpopular category in media works.
  14. I didn't realize you've joined this forum (like a month late). Welcome Yoona has the same taste as me
  15.   It's gonna be tough. Bale made his stand that he wants to leave. I think Tottenham is only trying to gain more money from this transfer.   On a side note, I also hope Man Utd won't get Fabregas this summer. He is a great player but we already have Kagawa and how the hell can both players co-exist when Fabgregas prefers to play like a 10...I feel like Man Utd is just trying to save face from their failed attempt to court Strootman & Thiago...
  16.   Oh damn. I mistook Bale's offer of 81 mil pounds (Ronaldo's fee was 80 mil pounds) for euros...then it's 98.5 Mil euros then...   Still, Ronaldo's worth more because the euros have lost a lot of its value since 2009 - difference is 8-10 mil dollars, so that means the counter offer is 130 mil euros. LOL I wonder how much taxes RM is gonna pay for next season
